OAO ECW on Sci-Fi Thread for 7/25 (Week 7)

He gave him the kiss of death at least a year before he had Fredo killed... Words can't describe how ridiculous a Kane vs Big Show ECW Title match sounds... -
Remember Chyna?

Shawn Michaels.

What a retard. 99.999% of wrestling articles are glorified fantasy booking garbage.

I always thought Timm & Dini should do a straight to DVD Knightfall movie. -
This gimmick would of buried any potential these guys could have. Of course when they start to get over on their own, so will Triple H.

Jericho2000Mark replied to Hunter's Torn Quad's topic in The WWE Folder
I find myself disagreeing with Meltzer on pretty much everything he says about matches, promos and Flair. But when it comes to how things should be booked, and what needs to be done to help the business, he's usually spot on. -
What program would you like to see ME Raw?

This is not true, and HTQ already proved why. -
It doesn't help when only Doane shows any sign of balls(taking the sledgehammer from HHH). They don't even come off equally. It's like the NWO B-Team but with Nash shoved into it and everyone knows Nash is miles ahead of Norton and Stevie Ray. Screw that. Norton >>>>>>> Nash (and I'm not that hard on Nash because when he's not being lazy he can be involved in some great wrestling matches). Norton is underrated. One of the best big man presences ever and he's been involved in a tonne of fun matches. He's even going to make my top 100 wrestler of all time list. That's how highly I think of him. Put yourself in the position of the average fan for once and stop analyzing things from a smark's point of view. Kevin Nash is a hell of a lot more credible than WCW jobber Scott Norton and that was the analogy. This is like comparing Bobby Lashley to Paul London, London may be better but Lashley is more credible. Scott Norton's only good work was in Japan because he was essentially used as a jobber in WCW. So, no "screw that" because Norton had no credibility at this point while Nash had tons of it because he was recently World Champion and never actually even lost the belt (He practically gave it to Hogan). Workrate isn't everything son. Working in Japan always adds credibility points, to some. Shawn Michaels never did a tour of Japan with a Japanese promotion, does that make him any less of a worker? I can name off A LOT of good workers that never toured with a Japanese company, Bret Hart, Triple H, Shawn Michaels, Kurt Angle, The Rock and there are many others. Does this make them any less credible? And anyway, I was talking about credibility to the average fan. The average fans knows nothing about puro so wrestling to Japan to them is like saying that they wrestled in North Dakota or Montana. Sure, it's a far off place, but why should they care? Bret did several tours of Japan when we was with Stampede. Shawn Michaels, Triple H and Angle are all overrated.

Shawn Michaels is the greatest wrestler in WWE History...

Correction, Bret>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Shawn On the mic, in the ring, drawing, everything besides being a douchebag prick. -
Yea I have that mag. Actually I got to see Joe as a rookie in UIWA in 00-01, which used to run shows in my home area of Ventura County, CA. Back then he was part of their tag champs as Samoa Joe (always used that name) with Partner "Foob Dog" (another generic samoan guy who resembled rikishi a bit) as "The Island Syndicate" I have programs with his pic son them too. I don't rmemeber seeing him and thinking he was going to be a big star, nor do I remember him being alll bad-ass back then (but again that was a while ago) so I was really shocked when I started reading about him online in like 04 and everyone making a big deal out of him. It's kinda cool to know that I saw him when he first started. I got to meet him and the other wrestlers after the show and was really nice to me. that I do remember I wonder how those idiots at WWE feel about completely missing Samoa Joe when they were drooling over Jesus and Cena. They don't care, they found someone else to play Umaga. And I also own that WOW where they talked about UPW, I don't remember them talking much about Samoa Joe, but I definitely remember "The Prototype", they were hyping Cena as the next major star in wrestling, even back then. I seem to recall he looked a lot bigger than he does now. It's a shame they stopped putting out WOW, it was by far the best wrestling mag out there, with tons of information, but a lot less boring than PWI.

Supposed Smackdown spoilers for the 7/3 airing

I thought they were saving Rey-Booker for SummerSlam? I guess they want to pull the trigger on the Batista-Booker fued... -
More than Triple H pretending to get a blowjob when his zipped up crotch was in plain sight?
-
That was the worst shit I've ever fucking seen.

Let's see, Chris Masters, Heidenreich, Cena... can't remember anyone else at the moment, but my brother used to train there. Nathan Jones.

Mick Foley is NOT a bad worker, he has tremendous psychology and knows how to put together a match better than most. Austin's best promos ever, were in ECW, unless you mean his injury in WCW that led to him being fired. However, I'll ignore the other comments because it's nice to see someone else give credit to Bret for his excellent mic work.

I wouldn't say ECW right now becuase its only been 3 weeks, but the past two ECW shows have been better than the last two Raw shows. As far as the tag titles go, WWE hasn't pushed a good tag divison since it had the Natural Disaters, Money INC, LOD, and a few others in it. I wouldn't say that. The Dudleyz, Edge and Christian, and the Hardy's putting on great matches with each other, during their hey days as tag teams in the WWE. So you want to compare a tag divison that only had 3 teams in it to the one that I was talking about that had more than that? Alrighty then. It had more than 3 teams. Edge/Christian, Hardy Boyz, Dudleyz, APA, Too Cool, T & A, Snow & Blackman, Road Dogg & X-Pac, R.T.C, Lo Down, Kaentai, Bossman & Bull Buchanan, D'Lo & Godfather, Hollys and...Los Conquistadors!

Who will introduce the mystery henchman... KAAAAAAAAANE!

I guess this is a follow-up to Kane's book... I guess this is a follow-up to HBK's book...

Yes, they would do an angle that they wait 9 years to make money off of. Moron. Sorry, I must have missed that nine year period between the Fall of '97 and the Spring of '98. Jackass. And how, exactly, did they make money off of the screwjob? The "Mr.McMahon" character could very well be considered a rip-off of Eric Bischoff's corrupt WCW president character, and he didn't even become a full fledged heel until a couple months later. The screwjob may of played a role in turning the fans against him, but they didn't directly profit off the screwjob, at least in a significant way.
-
So why does HBK still have a job?
-
Yes, they would do an angle that they wait 9 years to make money off of. Moron.

The first as well. I also like the third, but the second is the only one I'd wear in public.
