Mickie James vs. Trish Stratus
Jericho2000Mark replied to Open the Muggy Gate's topic in The WWE Folder
Completely agree, I'm really digging this fued and think it's the best booked WWE angle since Triple H-Batista. However the match will be balls nasty. -
No. Nothing on the card appeals to me.

Who Gets The Final Money In The Bank Spot?
Jericho2000Mark replied to Detective Comics's topic in The WWE Folder
That was a joke, right? I can't really tell anymore. Ever since someone made a serious thread wondering if Eddie Guerrero's death was staged... -
I often wonder that, every year. I'm usually not genuinely excited about most of the card, but everyone on the internet acts all jacked up "because it's Wrestlemania." The main event might be ok, but they'll probably give us some type of rematch at the PPV next month. Seems like just another WWE pay-per-view to me. Frankly, the only match this year that I'd be really interested in seeing is Benoit vs JBL, because I think they could pull off a really interesting match. They'll get 5 minutes, tops.

Tremendous!

Money. Puder's contract was 250 grand/year, WWE offered him a significant paycut (I'm talking under 40 grand) and he refused, thinking he can make more money in MMA. Vince McMahon is pond scum who wouldn't even pay him for the first year of his contract like they pretty much promised(on TV at least).

Blading means nothing to me. It's not hard to cut your head open with a razor after taking a few asprins. Whether he's trying to wrestle like it's 1984 or not, he's still an absolutely chore to watch when on offense.
-
The only difference is that WWE tries harder to book around Triple H's weaknesses, thus the easily impressionable idiots think he's anything more than average in the ring.
-
Cena. Both are stale, but Triple H has been doing the same shit since 1999 and has been the one of the single biggest reasons I am no longer a fan of the product and haven't bought a PPV since 2004.

Does Triple H even want to be a heel?
Jericho2000Mark replied to NoCalMike's topic in The WWE Folder
I don't even like JBL or think he should be anywhere near the main event, but he has charisma. Orton has no ability in anything wrestling related, being able to be carried is not a talent. -
This is one of the few instances of Vince's complete monopolization of the american wrestling industry that I like hearing about. He might not know how to book for shit, or spot talent, pr push talent, or know what his fading fanbase wants to see, or care...but his company puts out excellent DVD's. Who handles that department anyway?

I'm guessing Cornette?...

The Foley match showed nothing more than his willingness to take sick bumps. Benoit can carry anybody not named Orlando Jordan to a good match. Try again. -

And possibly from wrestling a boring, tedious style and cutting sleep-inducing promos where even he sounds like he's yawning. -
It's not like they had anything big planned for him, they'll just have to find someone else for Boogeyman and Lashley to squash.
-
Agreed, if this gets more posts, maybe they'll lock the other one instead.

Official Smackdown Spoilers for the 2/24 Airing
Jericho2000Mark replied to BorneAgain's topic in The WWE Folder
Fuck Orton, give Angle another reign after Rey holds it for a month or two(I can see the fans turning on him if he gets a long-term reign), he's finally starting to be taken seriously, he actually has heat and he actually has good matches. WWE has given Orton enough opportunities to get over, it's been two years, and the best reaction he can garner is a half-hearted "Randy Sucks" chant from a bunch of little kids. -
Exactly. The last time they actually paid attention to the fans and pushed wrestlers based on heat(and I don't mean "nostalgia heat" like HBK and Hogan), like Rock, Foley and Austin, they made more money than ever. Wrestling is a buisiness and it's about giving the customers the product they want so they keep on coming back. WWE has become a buisiness where Vince gives Vince the product he wants and only the hardcores keep coming back. Looking at the segment numbers of wrestlers would also help in deciding who the fans would pay to see.

And the Smackdown ME for Mania is...
Jericho2000Mark replied to Hunter's Torn Quad's topic in The WWE Folder
I don't think a lot of people will be happy with either result of Triple H-Cena. Nobody except teenage girls and children wants to see Cena go over, and nobody but idiot marks who like wrestlers based on their win-loss record or moronic smarks who think liking Triple H is cool because it goes against the grain, actually wants to see Triple H hold the title again. It's a lose-lose situation. People still believe Mr. Resthold is better than Edge? Wow. Neither guy is anything to write home about in the ring, although Christian is hardly "Mr.Resthold" anymore, he's wrestling an almost completely different style in TNA. When it comes to mic work and being entertaining and not sounding goofy when trying to sound serious and angry by pronouncing everything loudly, Christian is better than Edge. -

Jericho2000Mark replied to Hunter's Torn Quad's topic in The WWE Folder
But Christian is better than Edge. How would that be showing them up? -
Or Jericho. His heat in 2000-2001 rivaled that of Rock in '98, and Austin in 97, when they were on the cusp of becoming uber-draws. He had the charisma and heat to achieve similar success, but was never given the ball. His Title reign in 2001-2002 was so poorly booked, it actually hurt his credibility more than it helped. I would of been more satisfied if they just gave him the one WCW title reign and continued to book him as a strong upper-midcard face instead of a jobber heel holding a world title. Eddie could of been something too, if they didn't book him into a fued with fucking Bradshaw, and gave him better challengers. There isn't anybody in the current crop of young wrestlers who has the potential either of those three had, and with the current WWE system, there may never be again.

And the Smackdown ME for Mania is...
Jericho2000Mark replied to Hunter's Torn Quad's topic in The WWE Folder
I guess they don't want to end Mania on a downer by having both heels win the Title matches, or they realize Orton-Angle will have no heat, appeal or drawing power whatsoever. Now they just need to remove Orton from the match altogether. I mean they backpedalled Orton out of the last two mania main events because he wasn't over enough, and he isn't anymore over now, and WWE always seems to get their head together when it comes to WrestleMania...then lose it for the rest of the year. -
An idea for the end of Joe's undefeated streak...
Jericho2000Mark replied to gWIL's topic in TNA Wrestling
I think they're doing Ultimate X to get the Title of Joe without ending his unbeaten streak. That way they can move him into the NWA Title picture, as Christian needs credible heel challengers when he's done with Brown. -
THE OAO Raw thread for 2/20/06
Jericho2000Mark replied to Open the Muggy Gate's topic in The WWE Folder
RVD will not be getting pushed at, or after, WrestleMania. Cena-Triple H will drag on forever. RVD will never headline another PPV unless it's an elimination chamber and they badly need people. -
Wrestlers better then Finlay right now
Jericho2000Mark replied to Lord of The Curry's topic in The WWE Folder
Shit like this is why I spend most of my net time at DVDVR instead of here. What does Michaels do that makes him a good wrestler? What? There is a HUGE difference between who he really is in the ring and who the announcers say he is. When he wrestles, it looks fake. He flops around like a beached flounder for the weakest of strikes, throws a few horrible ones of his own (have you SEEN his punches and chops), takes the opponents finisher, kicks out, Jesuses up, superkick. That's it. His matches have no substance - he just runs drearily through the motions. Everything he does is choreographed and masturbatory. But -- he's old and can do moonsaults from time to time, so he's a great wrestler! I too would like to know what makes Michaels such a good wrestler... Does he have psychology? No, his matches have no story, his big matches are just a random execution of moves, and his television matches are interchageable, and formulatic . Is he a good seller? Absolutely not. Besides the fact that he has a short-term memory when it comes to selling, his selling looks completely ridiculous, cartoonish and resembles a seizure. Does he have an exciting moveset? Again, NO. Unless you haven't watched wrestling since 1985. Does his offense look good? No. It looks like it could barely tickle a puppy, and looks downright sloppy at times. Again, exactly WHAT makes Michaels such a good wrestler? I would love some sort of an explanation... Is there ONE HBK fan who can intelligently defend his work since coming back?
