My Few Changes: If they absolutely have to do Michaels Vs. McMahon, I'd rather see Shawn take on Shane, at least the match would be an improvement with the spotfest son compared to the immobile Chairman. Wrestlemania 22 and now this is the part where you post "Your card fucking sucks." Ok. The last Cruiserweight Open sucked, they won't give it any time to get good and there are too many wrestlers involved for any of them to get enough time to put on a good match. HBK-JBL had a terrible, slow and plodding match during the "Raw vs SmackDown" fued. Hogan-Show has been done before, and it wasn't good back then, imagine how bad it would be 10 years later? Orton main eventing WrestleMania is one of the problems with the show.

World Title match: Rey Mysterio vs Kurt Angle WWE Title "TLC" or some sort of gimmick match: Edge vs Rob Van Dam "Street Fight" Triple H vs John Cena The Undertaker vs Chris Benoit Ric Flair vs Mick Foley Obviously not the full card, but I have no desire to see JBL, HBK or Randy Orton in any matches, and there aren't really any appealing matches for them anyway. Taker-Benoit would be good and it's never been done(well, once on a UK PPV in 2000). RVD-Edge could be good if they make it a gimmick match, and Foley-Flair could be a fun brawl.

Well it makes you sound incredibly stupid since he never did a fart joke and rarely if ever did a dick joke. Dick jokes were HHH's thing in DX. You're coming off like a new fan that has never seen DX but still want to say it's bad anyway because you hate Shawn Michaels. Good guess, I've only been watching since 1992, and Michaels did sex and "potty" humour in DX, which is why I used the phrase, "Dick and fart jokes". It wasn't meant to be taken word-for-word. Really? Montreal 2005 as heel HBK. No way everything was scripted in that promo because he reacted to the crowd, what if the crowd didn't react that way. That was the best promo of 2005 and it showed HBK is one of the best on the mic as a Heel. All he did was milk the cheap heat from Montreal.... It had nothing to do with his ability on the mic, because the montreal fans still would have reacted strongly to Michaels for his direct involvement in the screwjob, he just egged them on for 15 minutes. That's true but it was still the best promo of 2005 and showed that HBK is one of the best on the mic as a heel. Put aside your bias against Shawn for a minute and watch it again. The crowd reaction went way beyond the typical "You screwed Bret!" chants, it's like they wanted to kill him by the time it was over. When has Shawn ever done a fart joke btw? I just use the "dick and fart joke" phrase to describe his DX promos. I don't plan on watching it again because it's a complete waste of time, there is no creativity or point to it, it is a 15 minute Shawn Michaels ego-fuck.

You make it sound like he was such a good heel that he had the crowd eating out of his hand...he isn't, those fans would of booed him strongly no matter what he said. "Montreal" heat is not "good heat", because there will never be a payoff to that heat.

97-2000. '99 was terrible from an In-Ring standpoint, but the storylines were at least entertaining, if not strangely amusing.

Dusty Rhodes had charisma, but his promos were terrible and mostly incoherent, with fragments of english. Ditto for Warrior, although that could just be because we are "normals" and our intellects aren't fully developed to truly comprehend the meaning and state of mind that is destrucity. I don't know anyone who had good promos that didn't have charisma though.

Agreed. Shawn Michaels television matches are boring and tedious, unless he's wrestling someone like Angle or Shelton. His entire offense, other than his finisher, looks pathetic. When he tries to sell, it looks ridiculous and almost cartoonish, and he forgets about it by the end of the match anyway. His promos are garbage unless he's milking cheap heat for Montreal or making dick and fart jokes. He's never cut a serious, memorable promo. He's clearly not even close to what he once was, and he was never as great as people made him out to be to begin with. I can't honestly believe there are people naive enough to believe he's still a great or even good, wrestler, but I see it everyday. I guess there's more mark in some smarks than they would like to believe. Henry's had what, one match since coming back? It wasn't even a regular match, it was a battle royal. How the fuck can you know how much he's improved(if at all)? I can only pray you aren't serious, but I'm not holding my breath...

How is any of that what the card is looking like after the 2 title matches? Thats all speculation. Taker is pissed at Johnny Ace and hasn't been seen for 3 weeks now, Hogan hasn't agreed to shit, and Shawn/Vince...well ok I'll grant you that one. I'm still assuming Cena wins at Rumble and goes to WM vs HHH When talk came up of possible WM matches, Meltzer, I believe, mentioned the first three matches on his radio show. He also said Cena-Triple H wasn't very likely to happen anymore. And I said probably for a reason, because I was ONLY speculating on the last one.

Agreed on Mania 7, not only was Savage-Warrior excellent, but Roberts-Martel and Hogan-Slaughter were surprisingly enjoyable as well. I would also add Judgment Day '98, which had a great Mero-Snow match, Taka-Christian and a surprisingly good Venis-Goldust match. Most overrated... No Mercy '99. The tag team ladder match doesn't hold up well today(as HTQ mentioned in another thread), Triple H-Austin was a boring brawl that exposed Triple H(they were smart to book him in mostly gimmick matches after that), Venis-Foley was good, but not as great as people seem to make it out to be and the rest of the card was crap(Godfather-Mideon, Moolah-Ivory, Rock-Bulldog, etc...).

Wow, I can't imagine how poorly shows like No Mercy and Taboo Tuesday do domestically... BTW, how well did WM XX do domestically? When did they start counting international buys?

Yeah, that match has been outdone so many times since, and these matches don't have a whole lot in the way of psychology, so I can see why they wouldn't hold up today.
