Does anybody think WWE is destroying Shelton Benjamin's career?

WWE drops one talentless hoss, gains another...
Jericho2000Mark replied to The Czech Republic's topic in The WWE Folder
That's what I was thinking. People sure are quick to pull the trigger. I think we should at least be on a "wait and see" basis. Afterall, he can't be worse than Snitsky, Tomko, Heidenreich, Mark Henry & The Boogeyman. Hell, for all we know, talent wise, he could be the next Brock Lesnar. Didn't Nathan Jones have a martial arts background? -
Rey and Chavo get the Eddie chants because they are more directly asscociated with Eddie, then Benoit was. There's no purpose in involving Eddie at all for any hypothetical Angle/Benoit showdown at WM. Chavo is, but not Rey. In storyline terms and real life, Eddie and Benoit were best friends. Their friendship has also been played longer on television than Eddie and Rey's. WWE fans have short term memories, The rey/eddie issue was more recent then benoit/eddie was. Also, Rey and Eddie also were asscociated as a group in WCW as well as both having the same heritage. Also strictly for smark purposes, Rey/Eddie's matches has more praise then Eddie/Benoit matches do. The Radicalz are more recent than the LWO, so I win... But seriously, the only way to know who Eddie was closer with is to ask him, and we can't, so... Agree to disagree?

Everyone knows Benoit is Eddie's best friend, they would probably chant for Eddie during his match anyway, even if they didn't play it up. And if WWE wants to use Eddie to get over their angles, they might as well do it in the classiest way they can.

I would order if they gave us Edge-RVD(where arguably the most consistently over wrestler since 2001 finally gets his big Title run) and Angle-Rey(with the former tag partners both taking home the gold of their respective brands), or Angle-Benoit(with Benoit winning the World Title for his friend Eddie). Cena-Hogan, the heat would be insane, and it would be the showdown of WWE's two current most recognized mainstream stars(with Rock and Austin gone). Unfortunately, this is what the card is looking like so far... WWE Title: Triple H vs Edge World Title: Kurt Angle vs Randy Orton The Undertaker vs Mark Henry Vince McMahon vs Shawn Michaels And probably... Hulk Hogan & John Cena vs Big Show & Kane
-
On Wrestling Observer Live, Meltzer said Triple H-Cena had a small chance of happening at this point and I believe mentioned Triple H-Edge as the possible Raw main event.

1. Mick Foley 2. Eddie Guerrero-seriously, listen to his two promos on SmackDown before NWO 04 3. The Rock 4. Steve Austin-his promo on the Hardcore History DVD is almost as good as Foley's Anti-Hardcore promos 5. Chris Jericho 6. Jake Roberts 7. Ric Flair 8. Bret Hart-for his '97 heel run 9. Raven 10. Paul Heyman Triple H cannot hold anyone's interest longer than 40 seconds. Shawn Michaels best mic work was dick and fart jokes.

Triple Threat Matches that never were
Jericho2000Mark replied to humanoid92's topic in General Wrestling
This isn't 80's-early 90's, but... The Rock vs Steve Austin vs Triple H. It was supposed to headline Survivor Series '99, and I think there was talk of it headlining WM 18 and 19. -
I'm pretty sure he said Henry was better than those two, but not A-Train, though he still bashed da Train.
-
They should go with Cena-Hogan. Cena will be booed against practically anyone at this point, but at least with Hogan, they could convince the other fans that they have an excuse, because Hogan is Hogan and would get cheered over anyone except maybe Austin. Not to mention it's the closest thing they have to a money match this year, especially if their other big mania matches are Triple H-Edge, Angle-Orton and Taker-Henry... Dear lord, how will they pull a decent WrestleMania out of their ass this year? Thanks for the tidbits!
-
Don't group A-Train with Big Show, although Big Show isn't that bad either, A-Train is probably the best hoss out there right now, and his matches with Edge were surprisingly decent. I've seen decent Big Show matches. Hell, I've seen GOOD Big Show matches. Can't say the same for Albert. And that Edge series was the one that really, IMO, exposed Edge. Because as soon as he got out of the SD6, Boy-O did those Albert matches suck. A-Train has had good matches with Benoit, Rey, Kane, Undertaker and Jericho.

Fuck it, just go to WWE.com, it's right under the headlines. -
Boogeyman was great when he didn't wrestle and just popped up in random segments.

Uncanny X-Men #15 from 1965 Uncanny X-Men #24 & 25, though they aren't in the best condition Amazing Spider-Man #121...The death of Gwen Stacy Conan The Barbarian #1(1970)

Unless that dead body is Eddie or Owen, then the match will surpass the ***** barrier.

I'm in someone's sig?! Awesome! Even if it was only put there by an HBK mark to mock me... I'm starting to move up in this forum, step aside HTQ and Rudo, the "POTY" is here!
-
Flair, HBK, JBL and Triple H(seriously, he's never been an above average worker and he's only had a good match if it's gimmicked or against a good worker)?
-
But who was there left on Raw for Kurt to wrestle? Michaels? That's been done. Cena? That's been overdone. Triple H? They don't gel in the ring. Big Show and Kane? Angle wrestled Show all the time on SmackDown when the only three main eventers were Angle, Show and Lesnar for the longest time. With Kane, they had a very good match on SmackDown but one of the worst matches at WrestleMania 18, and that's saying something, because that was one of the worst Manias when it came to match quality. On SmackDown, Angle has fresh fueds with Rey, Benoit, Taker and though I don't think he should be main eventing, JBL.
-
I hope this doesn't mean we get Angle-Orton at Mania, not that I don't think Angle can carry him, but I can't possibly think of a less appealing Main Event(well, maybe I can). Besides, once WWE gives Angle the neutered face treatment, they'll be forced to turn him back anyway.
-
And Survivor Series '00, which also sucked. Though I did like their two Smackdown matches in 2002 and 2003.
-
They gave Sting half a million to wrestle twice a month, so Panda is obviously willing to invest a lot of money in TNA.
-
Out of all the uninteresting characters WWE has had since 2000, you use Jericho and Angle as examples?! The Undertaker, Shawn Michaels, Steve Austin 2002-, The McMahon's and Randy Orton say hello.

So was Vince promoting ignorance and intolerance when Triple H went over Booker at WrestleMania a few years ago?
