They only chanted boring when Edge was on offense(which I agree with, Edge and his offense is boring), and chanted "Y2J" whenever Jericho was on offense.

WWE hasn't shown the slightest hint or interest in ever pushing Jericho or Eddie Guerrero again, ever...They were never in WWE's plans and therefore creative never really got behind them, basically setting them up to fail. Like when they put Eddie in a fued with BRADSHAW, knowing full well it wouldn't draw, then placed the blame directly on Eddie(despite drawing well up until that fued), which stressed him out, giving WWE an excuse to get the belt off him. I don't have to explain what they did to Jericho, other than they gave him the single worst attempt at a push in history...

Wrestlers who were the biggest marks...
Jericho2000Mark replied to iggymcfly's topic in General Wrestling
Saying Bret should "get over the screwjob" is ridiculous, it's WWE who keeps bringing it up and igniting those "you screwed bret" chants, and the screwjob is always brought up whenever Bret is interviewed. It's WWE who needs to get over it. Triple H is by far the biggest mark for himself...From having Raw revolve around him, to booking himself to break Flair's record, to having Flair and nearly everyone else employed, verbally blow him in interviews, to hogging up 40 minutes a PPV so he could put on a "classic" people will remember(ha...) or 20+ minutes of Raw to cut a memorable promo(ha...ha). The guy practically masterbates over himself. -
I would say it's more like a Roll kick...

Jericho will never headline a WrestleMania again(if he ever did). The only way he would be in any world Title match on PPV is if there's 5 other guys in it. WWE hasn't shown the slightest interest in ever pushing Jericho again(if you can really call WWE's first attempt...or lack of one, a push). The Main Events will probably be... Raw: Triple H vs Shelton Benjamin(I can see Shelton joining Evolution and turning on Triple H in time for next year's Mania...I can't see "creative" coming up with much else) or Triple H vs Shelton vs HBK. SmackDown: John Cena vs The Undertaker Triple H, HBK and Taker will not be giving up their spots anytime soon.

Just how big time is the WWE/Wrestlemania
Jericho2000Mark replied to Steve J. Rogers's topic in General Wrestling
I heard Raven is making more money on the indies than he ever did in WWE, and if TNA is still considered an indy, DDP is making more there than he did in WWE, as well. -
WWE dropped the ball on every major angle from mid-late 2000...that was the beginning of the creative decline for the company.
-
I think you mean USA. I remember watching Raven's last appearance on ECW on TNN when Cyrus came out and announced that "the Network" had cancelled the show and all the fans started chanting "U-S-A! U-S-A!" It was so sad because I knew there was no chance in hell that was happening. I remember FX mentioned A LOT right before they closed their doors. I'm sure rumors of USA were spreading, too -- but I seem to remember FX getting near-constant mentions. And, much as I hate to break it to Heyman, even with tons of publicity --- ECW wouldn't have ever hit a 2.0 -=Mike And ECW had 10 times the fanbase TNA has...

Translation: Hogan wanted to win, but Vince didn't agree. Last I heard Hassan was going to get involved with Austin and Piper, so chances are this is Hogan working his own angle, and bears no relation to current plans. I think this has more to do with Austin not wanting to work with Hogan, than it does Hogan wanting to go over. I doubt Hogan would have such a problem putting over Austin, he had no problem putting over guys during his last two runs in the fed. Besides, didn't Austin turn down a match with Hogan for X8? Which is why Rock got the program...

I'm surprised no one has brought up the RKO.

In Junior High I argued at great length with an idiot who claimed The Ultimate Warrior died when he military pressed Yokozuna and a vain in his arm popped, killing him instantly... -
Matches that made wrestlers stars
Jericho2000Mark replied to slabinskia's topic in General Wrestling
"If anything, The Rock put Angle over more when he won the title from Angle and on the next RAW then the first time Angle beat Rocky for the title." I agree, Rock made Angle look like a credible threat for the first time at NWO...too bad it was at the last 30 minutes of Angle's title reign. Didn't Angle kick out of like 3 rock bottoms in that match? Here's one that hasn't been mentioned... When Mitsuharu Misawa beat Jumbo Tsuruta for the first time. -
Not to mention Taker's hand was "broken" and Taker made him look weak a month earlier by completely dominating him in their first match.

Top 50 WWWF/WWF/WWE headliners
Jericho2000Mark replied to Hunter's Torn Quad's topic in General Wrestling
Brock drew better than Orton. Headlined more major shows than Orton. Was a Main Eventer longer than Orton. There is no logical reason to say he shouldn't be ahead of Orton on that list. Brock was drawing better than what Triple H or JBL are drawing now. -
I don't remember him holding the U.S Title at all. The only times I remember him headlining was when he was in a War Games match or Flair's partner. Never as a singles though.

Top 50 WWWF/WWF/WWE headliners
Jericho2000Mark replied to Hunter's Torn Quad's topic in General Wrestling
Why the fuck is Lesnar grouped with Orton??! SmackDown revolved around Lesnar for a year and a half, he co-headlined WrestleMania, headlined almost every PPV from mid 2002-mid 2003, drew huge with The Rock at Summerslam and even from a longevity standpoint, has been a Main Eventer in WWE longer than Orton has. Big Show has main evented more shows and drawn more money than Orton. -
He probobly would have been kept as a high mid-carder, and eventually been fed to Hogan or Warrior. Was Anderson ever a High-Midcarder?

I feel the complete opposite, I think Kash is more charismatic and better on the mic, but RVD is a superior worker...Kash tends to get pretty sloppy at times. Kash's match with AJ Styles on Impact last week blows anything RVD's done out of the water since 2001. It blew away RVD-Guerrero? RVD-Christian?
-
Isn't Hogan from Florida?

Wasn't the rating for the match a dissapointment?
-
There's more to being a pro-wrestler than technical ability, if that's what you meant. In wrestling, shouldn't looking believable(as in tough), be more important than looking hot?
-
You guys sound like the 14 year old girls who defend Randy Orton and Jeff Hardy...who gives a shit if she's hot, the only thing that should matter is how much ability she has.

Wasn't Lanny already under contract anyway(I heard it was ridiculously high)?
