Thoth, you're going to have to hook me up with the PW manga. I knew it existed, but haven't gotten around to finding a scanlation. Gotten a little ways through the 4th case (Just saved for the first time during the trial) and I've only had two gripes thus far. One, the turnabout music isn't nearly as epic as the original in my opinion. Two, boo at having no bonus case like the first installment.

One of the shitty aspects of that game was managing your love life with that egocentric bitch you had for a girlfriend. Anyway, from what I've been reading, I'm assuming it's going to be more like a fast-action day-trading sort of presentation rather that a day-to-day investing game like Wall Street Kid was. I'm going to give it a chance if since I like the concept. I thought Konami, not Capcom made this. In fact, Hideo Kojima is behind this one. Did some further digging. It's going to be released under the Capcom banner apparently. I haven't bothered researching beyond that though.

Kabu Trader Shun: "Phoenix Wright: Ace Stock Market Investor". Never thought I'd say it but STOCK MARKET BATTLE, ANIME STYLE! Link Capcom: Giving us entertaining games based on professions we otherwise wouldn't give two shits about.

Women died from over consumption of water

The End fired of 10 people over the stunt which was the entire Morning Rave crew and a few others involved. Sac County Sheriff's Department said their not going to look into the death as it seemed voluntary. I wonder how much the lawsuit (which is pretty much obvious at this point) is going to fuck over Entercom, the company that owns the radio company and a few others here in Sac. -
I've found my niche on the board lurking the Video Game folder and the Anime/Manga thread in the TV folder. My only direct involvement with the SWF since my last run has been winning the fantasy football league and that really doesn't count. Marking from me would consist of coins, dice, darts, and/or dartboard. Critical thinking be damned.

That's some epic boxart there. Not sure if they're intentional but the water stain aging effect is a nice touch.

I just realized how much time I had invested in Legend of the Mystic Ninja. Goemon was the shit, yo. For the record, I hate that guy's wife and your mom a little more than I did previous to this post. I rented that game back in the day and my brother and I wouldn't worry about scoring as much as trying to get the almighty forfeit victory.

Has anybody else tried out the Universal Fighting System CCG? It's like Magic: The Gathering with a fighting game theme. I've been playing it for a few weeks now. The battle system is pretty complex and it's been a nice change-up since I haven't been able to get back into M:TG ever since I quit around the time 7th Edition came around.

How to convert your Showbiz Pizza into a Chuck E. Cheese
Ced replied to spman's topic in Food Folder
That's some real depressing music during the dismantling process. Last time I went, the two-story Chuck E. Cheese near my old neighborhood in San Jose was a bit run down but still had a decent arcade. The one they just built near my house is completely devoid 0f everything except redemption games. -
Damn, I thought that was Hogan for a second.

To play on the touchdowns only format of sudden death, keep the current format, but let the kicking team decide whether or not sudden death can be decided on FGs. Teams can keep their opponent's premier kicker from being a factor, but they risk screwing their own team over when all they need is a chipshot on 4th and long. It'd be a nice little twist at the very least.

King Kong Lariat...that sell is insane. How do you make that kind of spin in the air without dumping yourself on the head? Somehow it's still more plausible than the Canadian Destroyer. I'm waiting for submission via strikes to make a mainstream run as a pro-wrestling finish.

For the record, I went and edited my list to change my best bet. Then I re-checked the rules and changed it back to my original seeing as nobody died.

The trailer passes the "Looks Pretty" test. Now all I need to know is how the fight mechanics are.

Saw the late night showing and I'm really impressed at the way they wrapped up the series. Like everybody has said, they went back to letting the story take center stage and the action was basically a nice bonus. All the little references and jabs were great. It was slightly preachy with the underlying message, but the message was a good one so it's forgivable.

Picked up the entire run of the Midori Days anime for $20 (Hooray Fry's!). It's 13 or 14 episodes long and an average formulaic romance-comedy anime (except for the love interest being the guy's right hand), but I'm not complaining for the price I paid. In the process of getting the first few eps of Death Note for a change of pace.

Aerobiz/Aerobiz Supersonic (SNES) Romance of the Three Kingdoms XIII and X (PS2) Gallop Racer 2004 and 2006 (PS2) Derby Owner's Club (Arcade) Victorious Boxers 1 & 2 (PS2) Cooking Mama (DS) Those and DDR...I really love the niche games...

I finally got around to beating Disgaea 2 proper (damn college/work schedule...) so I got this on my to-do list now. The combat style is new to me having never gone through FF XI but I think I'm getting the hang of it.

The cover of Rage Against the Machines' "Killing in the Name" is by far hands down the shittiest cover in GH2 I've heard thus far. The vocals and the guitar solo are drizzling shits in my opinion.

I picked up Elite Beat Agents after work today. Took me about an hour and a half to get through it on Normal mode. The first thing I did was get a Perfect combo on "Walkie Talkie Man"... for a B rating. First song that killed me was "Canned Heat" since the beats were far different that what I was expecting. "Let's Dance" and "The Anthem" took a few takes since I'm not familiar with either song. "Without a Fight" and "Jumpin' Jack Flash" also took awhile for the same reasons plus "Jumpin' Jack Flash" gets insane near the end. For the record, "You're the Inspiration" tops Ouendan's "Over the Distance" for heartwarming theme song in my opinion. And I really love "Over the Distance" too. I'm going to see what kills me on Hard mode now. Despite the Americanization, they at least kept the same screwy humor in the stage stories and the soundtrack is pretty good as well. Screw the haters. It's the same exact game repackaged for a different market. If you played and loved Ouendan, get over the Japanophilia and pick up EBA. Edit: "Material Girl" on Hard was the first song I died on. The tricky little "crossover" pattern in the first part of the song killed me a few times until I finally saw the pattern.
