What is the greatest martial arts fight in cinema history?
Ced replied to Lil' Bitch's topic in Television & Film
The final battle in Drunken Master II/Legend of Drunken Master always has a special part in my heart. And here's another person agreeing that the fight scenes in Ong Bak are absolute must-sees for the movie fight aficionado. The backlfip into a low flat-back dropkick is insane-looking -
I've got mixed feelings on this. The concept is great and I love it, but my confidence in EA producing a good game out of the gates is really shaky, especially with the focus being the graphics. Note to EA: For the last time, game mechanics, dammit. Anyway I'll have to keep an eye on this.

I'm reading this as if the marshal shot to disable rather than shoot to kill. Has anybody watched this close enough to know if this is right? Either way, it's tragic the man died, but the marshals did their job under the circumstances they were given.

Vote for a new Batista shirt design on WWE.com
Ced replied to haws bah gawd's topic in The WWE Folder
You could pretend that Batista Bomb is some sort of indy band no one's ever heard of except you... ...nevermind, for a second I was thinking they wouldn't put the scratch logo on the back. -
This being my first venture into the Animal Crossing series, I'm liking it so far. It's a fun little time-killer with all the various things you can do. I'm waiting for the shovel to become available in Tom Nook's store so I can plant the fruits I got from my friends. Name: Ced Town: Dai-Oh Friend Code: 4338-5249-5629 Good luck finding me until I get a WiFi connection set up at home.

Rights to Acclaim Games up for auction due to bankruptcy
Ced replied to MarvinisaLunatic's topic in Video Games
$5,000 for just one of the Olsen Twins game. What the hell? -
I liked Way of the Samurai 2 and owned it for a good month or two before selling it. What's better about the original? I don't know what's the bigger thread killer: lolicon Yuffie to start the thread or Jigglypuff for sheer randomness. EDIT: Actually...it's the thread title.

I've found the top-rope spear to be one of the most effective normal moves in the game. Just make sure you're opponent is facing you and pop him/her with it. As long as you get the knock-down animation, you'll immediately pop back up and you can recover a bit of stamina before making your way up to the top and getting ready to rinse and repeat. Since it's a top-rope move you can build up a special in no time. My maxed-out CAW has it and, along with the Shining Wizard as a finish, he can KO almost everyone he comes across in Slobber Knocker mode with just those two moves. And if that doesn't do it, the almighty sleeper with body scissors afterwards will make them tap most of the time.

The JR Saga is winning this by a sizable margin at the moment. I don't really understand what the rationale is with Warrior's political rant being the distant second right now. I really wish they would have put a small blurb of what merits each of the nominees has to be the Gooker Award winner, especially since I have no idea what the Angle-Bestiality incident was about.

OK, should I even bother with Nintendo's USB WiFi accessory or should I just get a router?

Well, I was a few seconds away from throwing away my controller at the screen after the Ladder Match with Eugene against Edge and Christian. I just couldn't keep both guys down long enough for me to grab the belts. The hanging off the belt animation just seemed to go on to the point that one of them would pop uip and pull me down. After going twenty minutes I just let them beat on Eugene and get the belts themselves. Frustrating.

Wrestler of the Year: Kurt Angle. Consistently pulled out respectable-to-good matches throughout the year. Feud of the Year: HHH-Batista. No real blowaway feuds this year. Match of the Year: HBK-Shelton Benjamin, Goldrush match from Monday Night Raw. Best High Flyer: Shelton Benjamin Best Brawler: JBL Best Tag Team: MNM Most Underrated: Shelton Benjamin Most Overrated: Carlito Best Promos: Eddie Guerrero Best PPV: ECW ONS Worst PPV: Taboo Tuesday Most Disgusting Promotional Tactic: The Hassan-Taker Masked Assailants angle. Very questionable angle and having the London Bombings shortly after it was taped didn't help matters much. It stirred so much shit up that it essentially cost a man his job. I might have to change my vote once the fallout from the Orton-Taker Eddie's Lowrider angle comes down.

The blowoff of the Eddie Guerrero-Undertaker story arc and what's currently going on in the WWE...that's just tragic coincidence.

Haven't got it yet. The thought of playing multiplayer online is tempting, but having to be in a McDonald's to play isn't.
-
Why is it that the WiFi places for DS online play are all McDonald's in my area?

Only four? Get ready to start betting on some impromptu fistfights.

I played my friend copy and it's really fun. Playing Konami's Guitar Freaks for ages now, I can beat most of the normal songs and some of the hard songs with little trouble. But, man, that fifth button kicks my ass, especially trying to hit the fifth button and immediately going to a chord involving the first button.

Does this mean we'll be getting DOA: The Movie: The Game? Robin 'Liu Kang' Shou vs Kevin Nash would rock the f'n house. Seriously not feeling it after watching the trailer.

These better be the size of a Homie figurine to justify the shoddy detail work.

Much less Matrix-Time action made me appreciate this fight more than the Ken-Raiden battle. Though I have to take away points for the nonsensical finish. ...and he's gotta put MK over SF in the next one.

Just saw the news on Observer and immediately called Dangerous A and darthtiki on the news. I know I can justify his untimely passing, but I'm just stunned that a man I have been watching wrestle since the mid-90's is gone. Thank you for entertaining me, Eddie Guerrero.

I just imported a copy of Osu! Tatakae! Ouendan! for the Nintendo DS. As a fan of rhythm games, I enjoy it alot. A bit on the short side, but having L'arc en Ciel's Ready Steady Go as a finale is friggin' awesome. I'm going to be shocked if this gets a domestic release with little alteration.
