Never played Mutant League Football, but I remember playing Mutant League Hockey and nearly every game ended in a forfeit since me and my brother made it a priority to kill each other's players. Hell, I even remember the friggin' Mutant League cartoon. I remember renting Ultraman just so I could use my Game Genie on it. The game sucked huge though, if I'm remembering correctly.

I have a mental snooze button. Sometimes, not even the alarm clock is going to wake me from my deep sleep. I've had the occasion where I actually get out of bed minutes before my alarm goes off, but that's very rare.

Three hours of frustration and I finally got it. Took me a while to realize I misread a line that made me place the Dane and the Swede in the wrong positions, thus leading to the frustration.

Bust a Groove was simple because the only command that had to be on beat was every fourth quarter beat. You could simply mash the arrow commands and wait for the fourth beat. The attack/counterattack beats threw in a little bit of complexity, but it was awfully simple for a rhythm game. I never played it, but I heard in Bust a Groove 2 you had to be on beat for every button press. I also heard the music wasn't nearly as catchy as the first soundtrack.

Goddammit, why can't any of the pricks that deserve to be beaten hit me for no justifiable reason so I can dish out the self defense? Ripper, if video of that shit ever falls into your hands, you must distribute it on the net for all of us to see.

A traverse air hockey puck I can understand (I've been beaned by one, and yes, it hurts like fuck) but how do you manage the trajectory and velocity to have a foosball break through a screen?

^ I'm so disappointed the security robot turned out to be something resembling an ATM and not that bad-ass ED-209-esque mofo that the other Japanese guy made.

I didn't realize they were going to put me under during the operation so the "100...99..." then lights out was fun to experience. I was pretty fucked up for about 12 hours and barely ate aside from a few packs of pudding and a tablet of Vicodin, but after that I was alright. Flushing out the dry sockets was a bit of a pain though.

It'll be awesome when the day comes where I finally buy my first house only to get kicked out a month or so later and given back less compensation than what I already paid so the city can have another Krispy Kreme.

I've been craving for a good BBQ brisket with just the right amount of sauce for weeks now.

I declare my hate and/or jealously towards both AndrewTS and Renegade completely justified upon reading this thread.

Ever heard of bootlegs? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yes, but my experience with modding systems has been bad.

It was all about the taekwondo guy and using his special jump kick repeatedly. Didn't that game spawn off an equally shitty beat-em-up?

I traded in 2 games I paid $15 for (Victorious Boxers (PS2) and Armored Core (PS)) for $21 worth of store credit and got myself a Dreamcast complete with a controller and VMU. Emulation a Go Go.

Are you talking about the dreaded "hole punched into the UPC so you can't sell it back to a retailer" or a legitimate hole in the actual plastic DVD case, SO3?

I demand a Brawl-for-All between JBL and Smothers to satisfy my morbid curiosity of who's better at going into business for themselves when the chips are down, winner faces Bob Holly.

There's a burger at Red Robin that they top with a sunny side up egg, but I forgot what it's called. Blatantly unhealthy, but I liked it. At In-N-Out, it's always about the Double-Double, Animal Style with no pickles or tomatoes for me. At Carl's Jr., I get the Western Bacon Cheeseburger or, if I can afford it, the Six Dollar Burger version. I recently discovered a small shop in town that serves a really decent 1/4 pounder with self-serve toppings and produce. Much better tasting than the McD's variety.

General Chaos was friggin great when you had two players going at it. Damn, I'm going to have to find a ROM of it now since you brought it up.

Suikoden II. I'm just not willing to shell out the big bucks for it.

I second everything Special K just said. I still have the MP3 of Natural Playboy on my comp.

It doesn't help that there's a contingent of manga and anime fans out there that are completely fucking mental and take it personally when someone criticizes whatever they like. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> You can say that with just about anything interest though. But, yeah, there is that group that just can't take the joke while watching Perfect Hair Forever. There's a reason I don't frequent the [adult swim] board anymore. Well actually it's because practically everybody there is either a) there in an attempt to get a bump on TV, b) a troll, or c) stupid. Possibly all of the above, I don't know.

I got a kick out of the flurry sequences. The excessive use of Matrix effects were a bit distracting though. And pretty much anything using music from Iron Chef gets a thumbs up from me.

It's a nice, informative piece. I don't understand why the article wouldn't go over very well with some people. Just the facts, really. If I had the artistic weapons the Japanese have, I could churn out some impressive stuff and I have sub-par drawing talent. Gosho Aoyama of Detective Conan fame also mentions his assistants at the end of each graphic novel in the same manner that Rikdo does. He even lets each of them have a 4-panel comic strip.

Tanaka and Awesome killing each other. I got what I really wanted to see and that's Tanaka no-sell the chairshots Second place goes to the Sandman entrance, complete with authentic "Enter Sandman" theme. I would've laughed my ass off if they had Dreamer get his ass kicked by the Dudleys while Sandman got his prematch buzz. I'm also disappointed in the lack of "Walk" for RVD's entrance. Couldn't they have lined a few more pockets so we could get the whole crowd to do the thumbs to self at the chorus?

I'm slightly apathetic to actual horse racing, but I enjoy horse racing games. I even play Derby Owner's Club in the arcade on occasion. Same goes for football; Don't really watch it, but I play the games.
