Well, my sex drive is dead for the weekend, and that's just from reading this thread describing the horror.

Since we're talking about Rumiko Takahashi's work, if you haven't checked out Maison Ikkoku yet, pick that up. The art is obviously dated (we're talking mid-to-late 80's art), but it's the Rumiko Takahashi romance-comedy formula you know and love. Louie the Rune Soldier might interest you. It's about a sorceror that is fated to be a hero according to the visions of a priestess. Problem is, he'd rather drink, get into fistfights and hit on women. If you've seen Slayers and like that, give this a try too. The Battle Royale manga has some insanely fucked-up depictions of violence, even moreso than the film. You know what you're getting into if you pick it up though (there's a reason that thing's shrinkwrapped). Not my bread and butter, but if it interests you, by all means go for it. I could probably give my two cents on other manga titles if you asked me, but my mind is drawing a blank at the moment on specific titles to talk about.

OK, I need to do a survey after tonight. Is Asuka's b+1+3 high/mid auto-counter that damn cheap? I'm being accused of being cheap for pulling it out at least three times a match.

You'd think that with the facts that 1) The card slot reads "Insert Card Here", 2) the slot's way too big for a quarter and 3) The Tekken 5 machine is in a friggin college, the problem wouldn't come up at Sac State. Naturally, the Player 1 card slot was jammed with not one, not two, but THREE quarters when I went there yesterday. Beautiful. Miraculously enough, my local Golfland, notorious for visitors treating the machines like shit (especially DrumMania), hasn't had a single problem with their T5 yet.

It'll run the normal cycle of technology. First it'll be where only the most hardcore of the hardcore people will run out and buy it, but then technology will get better and the prices will trickle down to the point where we'll buy them by the bushel and think nothing of it. Whatever the next-gen media is, it better be backwards compatible with DVDs or people will be busting out the pitchforks and torches.

Any word about whether or not you can put Mokujin and the other time release characters on a card? I'm still trying to learn more of Asuka's moveset. I've relied heavily on her b+3,2 and 1,1,4 juggles way too much and probably pissed off the higher-tier players in the process.

I've got Tekken 5 access at my local Golfland and Sac State. I've picked up Asuka and love catching people with her b+2+4, especially those button-mashing Hwoarang players. I saw the Devil Jin and Jinpachi models when I fought them. Devil Jin looks quite awesome. Jinpachi's crazy eyes and stomach mouth didn't do much for me. And did Marduk have those sick-looking juggle throws in Tekken 4?

There's Mario, Luigi, Wario, Waluigi, Peach, Daisy, Bowser, Baby Bowser, Baby Mario, Baby Luigi, Yoshi, Toad, Koopa Troopa, Shy Guy, Donkey Kong, Birdie...That's 15 off the top of my head. Could easily fill in the rest of the positions with the Koopa Kids from Super Mario World or even Geno and Mallow from Super Mario RPG. Or they could easily cheat and give you one or two "names" on each team then fill in the rest of the positions with Koopa Troopas and Shy Guys.

I just got home and this was the first thing I saw. Damn it's just unreal to watch tempers absolutely melt down. I found humor in the guy that threw the drink at Ron Artest as he was lounging. His expression goes from "Yeah, how you like that, bitch?" to "Oh shit, Ron's gonna kill me" the moment Artest got in striking range. Obviously there will be stiff fines and suspensions, especially for Artest. Though I don't necessarily support what he did in reaction, Artest had every right to be angry at that fan. I'd never expect somebody I didn't know to take me throwing a drink at them lightly.

Create a Titantron: I hate having to go with the generic WWE entrance because all the other Titantrons feature another WWE wrestler. Rip an Entrance Theme: Especially with the shoddy choices for generic themes SmackDown gives me. Not even a feature but bring the King of Colosseum series to the States: I really want a competitor to the WWE series. Flip top be damned.

People actually read Game Informer? Wow... Thankfully I have friends at GameCrazy that will let me test games out as long as they have an open copy lying about. Takes alot of guesswork out of my purchases.

I'm thrilled that this trial is almost over and I don't even give much of a damn about the verdict. All the focus this trial has received has grated against my nerves for way too long. It went long enough to make weeks upon weeks of tabloid news, give some dismissed juror an ill-gotten fifteen minutes of fame, and spawn a friggin' made for TV movie starring Dean Cain. All for what? Some guy with a dead pregnant wife and a mistress. I hope they put "and never to have his name and likeness mentioned or displayed in the media again" next to "death", "life in prison" or whatever they decide to give him, because, dammit, I won't feel any sense of justice without that stipulation.

Still waiting to see if my local GameCrazy will put it out on rental. They put Gallop Racer 2004 out on the rental wall, so Rumble Roses has a chance in hell...plus they have the great "cut up your Blockbuster card for a free rental" deal that I've managed to abuse every month or two without anybody catching on.

I live about 10 minutes from Thunder Valley, an Indian casino. Nice atmosphere and a swank buffet that's extra cheap in the late night/early morning, a blessing for when I was an evening shift worker. The only major drawback is the lack of poker tables, at least the last time I visited it.

A-Train is the one I'll miss the most of the bunch. Sadly, the last image I have of him is slipping on that chair and dropping Chris Benoit on his head. Billy Gunn's career lost all of its salvage value after the Billy & Chuck angle and disasterous feud with Jamie Noble. Good riddance. I never cared for Test outside of his feud with Shane McMahon.
