Your right about that.....it was a heel friendly crowd. I don't think there is anything wrong with that. Again your right...Now for the record I have no love loss for either HHH or HBK...as a member of the crowd at about 30:00 mark I found myself doing something I NEVER thought I would do.... I was chearing for HHH. By the 40:00 mark I was praying for the cage to collapse in on itself (partially for there lack of actually using the fuckin thing) instantly crippling both participants. I still stand by the statement it is not the crowds fault your PPV blew.

It would appear as if they changed there mind on that one. If it where the case they had the perfect set up for it in the tag match at Badd Blood. They are probably saving it for a later date, so they can insert HHH into the title picture. Personally I don't really want to see Edge in the title picture.

That my friend would be fucking hilarious

A roided up has been vs. a roided up never-was??? I SMELL BUYRATE!!!!!

I'm going to play devils advocate and say Eugene over HHH. I defintely don't think it will be a clean win either way, and I definately agree with the fact they will give Eugene a post match beatdown that J.R. will make it seem look like HHH is giving Eugene the wrath of god. Possibly a save by Eugene's newest friends (ala shelton, beniot, jericho, regal ect.) further setting up the storyline and possibly foreshadowing fueds for early fall i.e. possible Jericho/HHH, or whatever they are setting up. You are right about one thing though, my crystal ball does see HHH asking Eugene to lay down i.e. FINGERPOKE OF DOOM Eugene will not get a title shot no matter what happens

Umm....yeah. Such a shocker! Even though it was announced on Nitro three hours earlier! Yeah, but when that spoiler came out on Wednesday morning, the general consensus was "Holy shit!" Yup....your right....I stand corrected Micheal Cole was right on one thing. The least likely champion , but perhaps the most deserving.

Dont get angry King....I am intrigued that you would pick such a "low profiled match" as the most entertaining. If I have seen the match I honestly dont remember. Was just wondering why you think it gets the ALL time label. As for my opinion....with as many matches I have seen in my life.....I have no idea.

Randy actually worked the crowd in what was probably the best promo to date. And I know for a fact the crowd WAS hot for the entire match no matter how it came off on PPV. My entire section from the bottom seats all the way up to the balcony was screaming our heads off for the entire match. The reason was Orton invoked us to do so....as well as an overall great match with fluent good wrestling. Orton and Shelton both played there role perfect. Orton was pretty much over with the people in that arena and it showed with all the signs that supported him, not to mention the orton chant before the show even started. Orton did what any GREAT heel would do. Turned a "heel" friendly crowd ( I noticed the crowd seemed to like the heels more) against him. After he one the match Orton and Shelton got a standing Ovation for putting on a hell of a match from start to finish.Same with Euegene Coach. They entertained the crowd. Which unfortunately is more I could say about half the other people on the card. ....and if you had to sit with that clique-love in that they called a hell in the cell for 45 fucking minutes at home, imagine what we went through sitting in the corwd.

Agreed Mad Dog......From an earlier disscusion you and I were apart of Yeah maybe the crowd wasn't the best ever BUT what crowd has been as of late. Yeah if you pay to go to MSG you would probably go hardcore, and yes I agree, the audience down here doesn't compare to that "Great STATE up north" called Canada eh? The point of the show is to entertain you. It is the job of the Employees of the WWE to invoke all the emotions that get those reactions. They are suppose to make me WANT to boo them, WANT to cheer them, want me to call them every name in the book. As a "Smark" I understand what they are doing in that ring, and I respect every one of them performers for that. However I am willing to let myself suspend reality and journey into Kayfabe, as if i was reading a novel or watching a movie. As a member of the audience, I did not feel INCLINED to react to the product. As somebody who payed $55 dollars to sit in that arena, I am not REQUIRED to scream constantly at the top of my lungs to BETTER the WWE product for those of you at home. If you feel that way then I will gladly let YOU purchase my ticket to the next WWE televised event in my area, and I will gladly work my best to make your WWE home veiwing experience the best it can be. Or perhaps you can write to Mr. Vince McMahon and have him insert a pre-canned crowd into your pay-per-view ala Laugh Track's on sitcoms. Last night I did cheer as I outlined in my above post. Yes you are right the crowd was lazy which I outlined in my previous post. There where times I was ashamed that the crowd couldnt have put as maybe I felt they should have. But then I realize, it isn't there job now is it. We may not have been the greatest crowd I will conciede. We probably don't even make top 50 crowds of all time. Don't blame the fans, or the venue or anybody else. Put the blame where the blame falls. The WWE...

What about the rumored "Conan" remake?
-
Link using four different personas just doesn't work in current times. I know you have to re-work your gimmick, but being four different charecters is unprecident. It reminds me of the Three Faces of Foley era, which novelty wore out quickly Does anybody know if Link has ever broken the age old Kayfabe and actually talked. I know back when he had his show he was quite a smartass, but I don't think he has every cut a promo in the ring And for the record King of Hearts, as I'm SURE you know.....Spawn was the king of the Soul Caliber Gauntlet

why do you think THAT was the most entertaining match of all time???

Hey all.. Got the chance to be in the arena for what turned out to be one of the most lackluster main events I’ve seen in a while. Heres what I noticed from inside the arena. I’ll skip the matches that nothing really happened in the Arena La Rez vs. Beniot/Edge Don't give us Ohio folk that much credit. After everyone made their entrance in the La Rez/Beniot, edge match, the fucking genius’s us Ohio folk are started chanting USA, USA, USA. I immediately screamed at the top of my lungs "THERE ALL FUCKING CANADIAN!"(I know Conway is American but I was trying to prove a point) Which quite to my surprised abruptly stopped the chant. It started again later and not even I could stop it, so I just started chanting for Conway so when somebody said something to me I could tell them what a fucking moron they where. Chris Jericho vs. Tyson The Tool Tomko During the Jericho/Tommy Tonka Truck Tomko match, the crowd was all about the king of bling bling. The crowd was pretty steady through the whole match. Half way through Mr. McMahon walked out from where J.R. and the king were sitting and made his way up to the production area. (Which resulted in a standing ovation for Vinny Mac) Shelton Benjamin vs. Randy Orton Ohio may not be exactly evolution country, but the most of the arena gave a standing ovation for Orton. The killer promo he delivered just before his match gave him some killer heat going into the match minus his whole slip on the ropes, and on the way to the ring somebody screamed at him that his "daddy was Roddy Pipers bitch”. Had it not been for the promo I seriously believe Shelton would not have got the pop he did. The crowd was pretty much behind Shelton during the match. However after the match everyone was standing and cheering for Orton. Promo reminded me the IC champ Rock. Kids going places Eugene Dismore vs. Jonathon Coachman Surprise, Surprise. Everyone pretty much marked out for Eugene/Coach. My friends and me did a coach chant and got some pretty fucking dirty looks. For being the comedy match, it pretty much did its job in entertaining the crowd. Eugene probably had the biggest pop of the night just by showing up. My Buddy Chris Beniot vs. Kane World Heavyweight Championship As far as the world title match went everyone was pretty much hyped for the first 30 seconds. After watching Beniot trying to carry Kane's no-selling ass, crowd surprisingly turned on the match all together. Here's some things various people did to pass the time. -Urinate -Play with there cameras, cell phones - Chant to following Boring Bring back Eugene -Collect Fuzz balls from there belly buttons - Wax the philosophical differences between cellophane and aluminum foil When the high spots in the match happened the crowd was so excited to see something happen they went nuts. I think I was the only one that freaked out for the sharpshooter attempts. When Beniot hit the three-plex crowd went balls crazy. The flying head-BUTT was cool. Crowd popped for the choke slam as well. I think most of us were looking for the run-in from Hardy, or some explanation on why Kane got the shot minus, “it was his turn”. Overall I think most people where happy that the match was over, but nothing could prepare us for the clusterfuck that was about to take place. Hunter Hearst Hemsley v.s. Michael Hickkenbottom Hell In Cell: Crowd went wild when the cell started to lower itself. Crowd went nuts when The Games music hit. Standing Ovation, which surprised the hell out of me. HBK got a surprisingly good response. After there entrances, this whole match went down hill. From the near two minute stair down people where hot over the fact that they didn’t do anything. (Although as they where doing all I could think about was how J.R. must be over in the corner talking about how five fucking years have all came down to this moment) the first half hour of the match blew and the crowd was pretty much pissed off about it. People where pissed that they pretty much use everything EXCEPT for the cell. Crowd favorite chant was “Use the cell” and “Bring back Foley” They could have easily made this match a ladder match and it would have been much better. I’m not saying it was a bad match, but in my opinion the hell in the cell is reserved for the shock value bumps. (Or maybe it was just the notion that either of these cats could get injured and I wouldn’t have to look at their stupid fucking faces in the main event for a while) Crowd was pretty much behind Shawn Michaels. Although when Hunter went for the steel step shot the crowd rallied behind The Cerebral Assassin. Shawn was looking around like “What the fuck? I’m suffering for your sins”. People where pretty much pissed that they sat through 45-minute match without the cell being utilized properly. Probably the worst HITC ever (I’m trying to remember if Hunter/Nash was that bad, but I blocked it from my memory) Anyways not really sure how it came out on television, but I must say I was quite disappointed in the out come (then again I did pay a lot of money for that ticket) Overall I was ashamed to be apart of that dead ass lazy crowd. We could have made the matches a little better but everyone was a bunch lazy fucks Including the wrestlers. I can’t say I blame the crowd for turning on the double main events. Would those of you who where at the show agree with that assesment?

Umm....yeah. Such a shocker! Even though it was announced on Nitro three hours earlier! now granted, just the thought of Mick getting the strap on him was unthinkable to most at first, I'm sure many felt that the Mankind had evolved into so much more than just a fued for taker. I wouldn't really say surpised because it was fitting for the time. Not to mention the now infamous Monday night war fuck up on Bischoff's part Jericho becoming the first undisputed definately! Not that I think he didn't have what it takes to go over the other two ( because he did and STILL does IMO) but I honestly dont think anyone expected Jericho to get the honor.

Here is today’s Finisher Now somebody correct me if i'm wrong, but don’t these two hate each other? If my memory serves me right didn't Hogan do a shoot on Kidman or something of that sort, and effectively have Kidman jobbed out in the later WCW years? I quite watching wcw by that time so I could be wrong. Discuss

I think an RVD heel turn would be good for the show, which is exactly why I don't think it will happen. The good that would come of it, is it would pit him in the world title contention( something that I don't think wwe really wants to do *cough* bullshit politics *cough*) I think they will keep him on the upper card as a face at this point. Creative has been on a roll with doing everything wrong on smackdown, what makes you think they will stop now. Since Febuary I've been looking for an HBK heel switch. I've been burned on that one so many times since then, my friends are starting to make fun of me at this point. Tonight's the night. If it doesnt happen tonight then you wont see me even mentioning it again. Also not that anyone cares, but look for Maven to return as a heel(possibly with a defunct faction of evolution) This is exactly what Maven needs considering he is void of any personality at all. Making him a heel would be the obvious way to at least give him a chance to become an actual full fledge wrestler.

Big Name Rappers To Appear At WWE Pay-Per View?
redbaron29 replied to EdwardKnoxII's topic in The WWE Folder
Is it just me, or is this idea just a little bit outdated. Last time I checked we have been forced to sit through Football players-turned-wrestlers, wrestlers-turned football players, basketball players turned wrestlers(aka crossdresser turned wrestler), former baseball stars turned gobbledegooker, Late night talk show host wrestlers, annoying actors turned wrestling champion, and Rappers turned wrestlers. If I recall most, if not all these lovely ploys to bring in more "mainstream" media for the most part failed in the long run, not to mentioned pretty much sucked(except the fact the Pete Rose didnt actually fight...just sorta jobbed out for kane. At least he knew his role.) for all those who sat through them. Maybe I'm wrong...maybe this is just what Smackdown needs. but if I have to sit through another Master P birthday party, IM GONNA HAVE TO CHOKE SOME BITCHES AT TITAN TOWER!!!!!! -
I hope Bret never gives Vince the satisfaction. I'm going to see Bret tonight too, and if Iget the chance to talk to him, I will tell him too.

Foley wrote the whole angle, and was all about putting Orton over made last time I checked.
-
I do understand the concept- It would basically be survivor series meets King of the Ring, and has an illegitimate child that vaguely resembles the J-Cup. I don’t think it would ever happen. But it would be an interesting concept. And it would give Smackdown! the creditability it needs to get over as a show (If they would only let them win). It would also think it would do what Vince is trying to force all along, and that is for you to choose your own favorite brand. I also think it would never work due to the political pandering that goes on. As far as keeping angles fresh, you would probably be better off just firing all the writers and starting new.

Every Monday night man.

Ok third generation, my bad The whole point of the rant is its better to haveRandy Orton "legend killer" than Randy Orton "Gobbledygooker"
-
........ummm.......o.....k.
-
The Legend Killer gimmick is the most fresh gimmick i've seen in pro wrestling in the past two years. Also, I don't think too many of the "up and commers" could have made it look as good Orton does. However I do agree that you need to mix his programs to not only be legends, but also the fresh competitors like shelton, and edge. Also I gotta give credit, I would say after watching all the OVW alumni "evolve" (no pun intended) this year, I say Orton is the best out of all of them. But if we are talking about giving him another gimmick, here are some that might be good for him... Have him team with Al Snow. He could put one of those green bay hats on, and you can call them head chee....oh, i guess that was done already. Maybe you can harrassed and sacrificed by the undertaker, only to bring back Cowboy Bob and have him align with Mick Foley to help him get his son back, go into a fued with UT, find out the Taker is working for a higher power....and the higher power is.....COWBOY BOB! Yes it was me alllll along!! HAHAHAHA..... Whats that you say?....oh yeah...I guess they did do that a few years ago.. Hey how bout this... you could make him a second generation superstar...Who wants to get out of the shadow of his father....so instead of being known as the son of a legend... have all his daddy's friends talk about changing his diapers....and have him kick all there asses....umm....yeah....you could call him a....."old timer beater"....no that dont sound right killing all these legends legends...legend..."Legend Killer" Some things should just be left as they are I guess
