Eh let the Knicks win this thing, it's not like Isiah is going to craft a winner there so they'll need the little victories...

Bet ya Barkley's voice is shot tonight like it is all the time during All-Star Weekend.

I've heard Thad Matta from Ohio State may be a possibility if the NCAA puts heavy sanctions on the OSU basketball program from their violations under Jim O'Brien, which would probably scare away next year's top ranked class, including Greg Oden.

I wonder who Indiana will go after as their next coach. Tons of people are saying it's going to be Steve Alford, but I'm not sure that he's that good of a coach considering how up and down Iowa has been since he started coaching there, though they would definitely would rebound recruiting in the state of Indiana if he came to coach there.

Storied Franchises in Total Disarray

Philadelphia 76ers: Fire Billy King. This may sound a bit controversial, but trade Allen Iverson as well. The team is going to be where they are currently until he retires or leaves via free agency because of how they have to craft the team around him(partly because of Billy King as well.) They won't be able to compete with teams such as Detroit and Miami in the East, so they might as well blow it up and start over. -
Mike Davis has reportedly resigned from Indiana but will finish out the season.

UConn falls to Nova tonight 69-64. I wonder how the top 5 will look next week, and where Nova will end up at.
-
Huge game tomorrow night with UConn @ Nova. If Nova wins, then they'll really be a favorite for Indy in April.

Art Shell will be coaching the Raiders again: http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=2326498

I got back $430, along with my Stafford loan refund which is about $1100.

Dama, I read the first article by you that I saw in the link, the one about Kevin Bookout winning at OSU, it was pretty good. That was a really good hook you had in the first line in that article.

Finishing my bachelor's in history and going to law school next year. Have been accepted at Widener, West Virginia, and Michigan State already and waiting on Villanova, Syracuse, Pittsburgh, Rutgers, Penn State, Florida State, and St. John's.

If this UNC team was a year older, they beat Duke tonight. I think UConn is going to win the championship, this Duke team hasn't impressed me in the past month, while UConn has been running roughshod. If UConn wins comfortably at Nova on Monday, I then will be really sure that UConn will take it all.
-
Hey Vitale, when you're done blowing JJ Redick, why don't you just go to center court and bend over for him? And UNC is only down 3 to Duke right now, 61-58.
-
Holy shit, Nova looks AWFUL right now against St. Joe's. They don't have Nardi, they can't buy a shot right now, and they're down 9.

"For who? For what?" Sorry, just had to add that...

The Palestra in Philadelphia, especially during Big 5 games.

Whoever said that the Seahawks read the Donovan McNabb Book Of Clock Management is dead on. And it seems quite apparent from who Andy Reid learned how to do crappy playcalling from, none other than his mentor Holmgren....
-
UConn goes to Bloomington and wins by 8, while Duke struggles at home against a mediocre Florida State team and just barely wins.

McNabb was on Sportscenter last night with most of the Countdown crew minus Berman, of course Jackson was more giddy than a schoolgirl when he was on... -
It's those Chunky Soup commercials...I can't stand them either. And one more thing, thank God Owens is likely going to Denver or Kansas City, because the Eagles don't play them again until 2009, when Owens is likely retired or on another team. ESPN would be likely to hype McNabb vs. Owens on the level of Shaq vs. Kobe times 3 million.

Christ I'm an Eagles fan and I'm even tired of hearing about this crap. Of course I was tired of hearing about it in October as well...

Nova beat U of L tonight 79-73. They've got Marquette later this week at the Pavillion before next week's games, the Holy War against Saint Joseph's at the Palestra, then the UConn game at the Wachovia Center. If I'm Nova, I actually worry more about the Holy War rather than UConn because Nova will be ready for the UConn game, #1 ranked team in a nationally televised game. The Holy War will pretty much be St. Joe's Super Bowl (believe me, Saint Joseph's people fucking HATE Villanova) and Nova could possibly get caught looking ahead towards the UConn game.

Nova just pulled one out against Notre Dame thanks to Allan Ray's tip-in off a Randy Foye miss with one second left. Hopefully they've got this less-than-stellar stretch out of them with louisville and UConn coming up. I really wish they had a healthy Curtis Sumpter this year to give them some extra size to deal with teams like UConn though. One a sidenote, I'm trying to find tickets for Nova-UConn at the Wachovia Center on February 13th, which is gonna be a great game.
