I think its going to be closer than most will imagine(Eagles will probably be about a 7-10 point favorite in the opening line,if its over 10 take the Rams.) But I have a feeling that a weaker NFC is why they rested the starters, they should be able to get the kinks worked out in the first half and be roaring to go. Besides if anyone could feel antsy about playing starters in meaningless games, it's Philly(Westbrook last year, Owens this year.)
If you've read Bill Simmons' "Rules To Gambling On The NFL Playoffs", just remember the rule about coaching matchups. Andy Reid vs. Mike Martz: I'll take Reid, you can have Martz....who's feeling confident out of both of us? Factor in the home-field advantage and the fact that the Rams won't be playing a team that just screws up every opportunity they get(Seattle), and I think it'll be a convincing win.
From what I've been hearing in the papers here in the Philly area is that the Eagles are just a little bit annoyed at the Rams beating their chests about winning that Monday night game when it basically was a give-away game, they're probably ready to start the playoffs now.
