NFL fans ladies and gentlemen. Truly this is America's new pastime. -
Man, that WCW vid is serious dedication. The logos, the Nitro girls, the botched powerbomb? It's all there.

The ONE match I hadn't seen I got on the WCCW dvd a week later. Actually strike that. I hadn't seen Brock/Eddie before. -

And for the record, once HDTVs fall to the $120 or cheaper range, my old television breaks, and HDTV is offered at the exact same price as standard tv, then I'll watch a WWE show in HiDef. -

Emerson Witner = UTS? Ouch. Useless or not, way to bash a guy for sending you information. If you find it a waste of time, thank the emailer politely and just don't use it. -

I own '02 on VHS and 1997 was terrible, so 1990 is obviously preferable. Clash I and the St. Valentine's Day show are great choices. Don Muraco as the HOFer is awesome, he was a great worker in his day. Weddings as shorties though? Awful. -

WWE couldn't trademark "Steve Austin." It was a character in "The Six Million Dollar Man" first. -
Hey, I'm all for treating everyone equally, but there is no malice behind this crime whatsoever. It's just a tragic accident.

You make it a hobby, give it a go over several years and have companies that send you screeners, they add up. I think CJ's actually fairly selective compared to other reviewers, who have reviews in the thousands at this point. Honestly, I wish he did more. The guy's reviews are much better than anyone else's.

Just Gossage. I'd be surprised if any other player is elected.

If you open the door for Ortiz, you are going to have to open it up for Albert Belle, Edgar Martinez and several other players. Each player makes the Hall of Fame on their own merits, not because some vaguely similar players have similar numbers. In Belle's case, he had an abruptly short career and he is the polar opposite of Ortiz on the character issue. Martinez I unquestionably feel SHOULD be in the Hall of Fame when eligible, so no problem there. I'm not saying Ortiz is a Hall of Famer, just that he had a Hall of Fame caliber peak. So did Belle and Martinez. If Ortiz can produce for several more seasons, he's a solid candidate. Any player who consistently places top five in the MVP voting is a serious candidate.

Running tournaments is a staple of some promotions, and it was popular in WCW at the time. It was meant as a similar concept as King of the Ring, but of course WWF had that copyrighted. King of Cable comes from WCW using wrapped cables as their ring ropes. -

http://msn.foxsports.com/mlb/story/7611338 He's pretty much up the creek on this one.

I doubt it. Warrior was buried because he was an unprofessional shit. Savage always did his duty, and unless there is indeed some backstage shit, any disagreements have been solely about money. And if there is some unsaid baggage, I doubt they'll pick a dvd release to reveal it. No way.

I'd be remiss if I didn't mention the closing credits. Virgil Runnels and Alan Rogowski! -
He's got the Hall of Fame peak. Dave Parker though had a five year stretch where he was just as great, and he's not close to the Hall. And Parker led his team to a World Series title as well, and hit .342 in the 1979 postseason. If these are the best years of Ortiz's career, that's Hall of Fame quality. But he has to back it up for a few years yet. Let's see how Ortiz's prime stacks up. http://www.baseball-reference.com/pi/shareit/bDgf It's great, but it's not transcendent. You have a handful of guys like Dick Allen who had great peaks but fizzled. What stands out though is that Ortiz, unlike Allen or Albert Belle, is immensely likeable. Also, Ortiz is dominant in MVP voting. I think that's the #1 predictor of future Hall of Fame viability. The next couple years will be telling, as players of Ortiz's build generally do not age well.

Starrcade '92 is such an unusual show. Multiple guys wrestling three matches. The Battlebowl pairings seemed legitimately random. Jushin Liger and Erik Watts against Sting and Steve Williams? Sting/Vader was outstanding as usual. Chono/Muta was unusually horrid. -
Raines and Rice compared to the Hall of Fame LFers. http://www.baseball-reference.com/pi/shareit/tC7J Note Raines high up on the list. Rice shows highly, if you think of Heinie Manush as your ideal HOFer.
-
It occurs to me that David Ortiz, right now has a stronger HOF case than Jim Rice.
-
I haven't heard a peep from Gammons on the subject. The most idiotic voices I've heard thus far are Dibble and Kennedy. I'm sure Dan Shaunessy (sp?) has been vocal but at least he makes coherent arguments.

That folks is why they put out a DX dvd. It sells.

Chris Benoit Dead - Toxicology results released
EVIL~! alkeiper replied to Human Fly's topic in The WWE Folder
Too bad WWE hasn't erased Benoit from existence. Otherwise those comments might be valid. -
To change colors you hit circle on the appropriate piece and select the garment you want to color (usually it's on the bottom, top bar is skin color and middle is trunks). Hit square, and select 1. gradient sample. That should allow you to change a color easily. Not the best shot, but here is a George Steele CAW I managed. I'm surprised at some of the wrestlers I can pull off.
