Let me put this 300+ win stuff into perspective. Pete Alexander won his 300th game in 1924, he was the last of the deadball era pitchers to reach 300. Lefty Grove won his 300th game in 1941, 17 years later. Warren Spahn won his 300th in 1961, Early Wynn in 1964. The next 300 game winner did not come until 1982. That is a span of over sixty years where just four pitchers reached the plateau. The 300 game winner is not something that disintegrated over time. Rather, it was the product of the 1960s and '70s, where pitchers racked up inflated inning and win totals much like the slugging numbers of today. Six pitchers won their 300th game in the 1980s. That was NOT the norm. The most 300th wins any decade has seen since is two, at least until Glavine becomes the third pitcher this decade to do it. In summary, it is not a downfall of today's game that no one seems likely to reach 300 wins.

I linked the Kerry/Flair cage match in the Youtube thread I believe, if you're anxious to see it. Edit: Found it. http://www.dailymotion.com/video/xtr9p_ric...on-erich-122582 -
House shows are pretty fun. Wrestlers have more time to work and they're more apt to interact with the crowd.

They needed some mystery to pop a rating, this is their best option right now. -
Nope, just Wilson Betemit. On a side note, what prompts a person to ask on a message board when they could check live box scores from four or five websites?
-
Looks like the real Cubs are back, just in time.
-
So the White Sox score 8 in the 2nd and the Yankees respond with eight runs in the bottom? God damn.
-
Mediocre. I can't quite explain why, but the movie wasn't terribly funny or memorable.
-
Well a bridge collapses while they have the funds to build a new stadium to replace the one built all the way back in 1982. You have to admit that doesn't look good.

That's Don Mossi, who pitched in the 1950s and '60s. Quite possibly the ugliest player in MLB history. -

I hate whodunit's because the story always meanders until it reaches some random conclusion designed not to make sense, but to surprise viewers. The big problem IMO is that there are no hot programs whatsoever running right now. -
"Officials believe structural collapse to blame for Minneapolis Bridge Disaster," says MSNBC. Well duh.

The record for three consecutive games by the way is 16, set by the 1977 Red Sox.

It was In Your House #4 with Davey Boy vs. Diesel in the main event, and the Dean Douglas/Clique IC title nonsense. Summerslam '94 won the poll. -

The Kerry/Flair match, that's Chris Von Erich in the ring afterwards, the short brother. Correct? -

The WCW Battle Royal is from Road Wild '99, Snow/Bossman is the match from Summerslam '99. The Monday Night Wars features the ECW invasion this week. JYD/Bulldog vs. Hart Foundation, JYD subbed for Dynamite Kid in the match due to Kid's back injury. JYD/Funk aired as part of the MSG show several months ago. -
My understanding is that the concern from scouts is that Melky will grow out of the ideal build for a center fielder, and his bat does not project for him to play well enough to play in a corner outfield slot. Chris Wheeler noted Chris Roberson stole his first career MLB base, which is false. Roberson stole three last year. Roberson is also a big wrestling fan.

Best I have on this one is a linescore, but it speaks for itself. June 15, 1925 CLE A 0 4 2 2 4 2 1 0 0 - 15 24 PHI A 0 1 1 0 0 1 1 13 x - 17 19 WP: Tom Glass LP: George Uhle HRs: Al Simmons, Joe Sewell, Glenn Myatt The victimized Cleveland pitchers were Jake Miller, By Speece, Carl Yowell and George Uhle. The game was one of two pitched by Glass that season. Had the save rule existed at the time, Rube Walberg would have earned one. Joe Sewell's home run was his only home run of the season.

The Rangers score 16 insurance runs.

Shane Victorino and Michael Bourn both land on the 15 day DL. Damn it.

A part of me says I hope not, since I haven't gotten to see him pitch yet. I can tell you he's been kind to fans, for what it's worth.

1/1/1983 would be the Flair/Kerry cage match show I would believe. We'll see. Two Kerry/Flair matches actually this month, as the shorties match should be the Texas Stadium title change. -
Will Startup and his karate delivery are on their way to the Padres along with Wil Ledezma for Royce Ring.

How exactly does that work? Nothing nefarious. The deadline is for reporting trades to the league, not the media.
