I'm limiting my scope to baseball.

Ah Colby Lewis. Well, you have to remember he won't necessarily repeat those numbers. I think Colby is a good candidate for a rebound actually.
-
For whom?
-
My closer plays for Tampa Bay too!! Honestly, the 5th starter's spot is going to be a bitch, because we're really scraping the bottom of the talent pool. There's only 5 pitchers more that have rotation spots than we require in this league. I lucked out with Grant Balfour.

Reyes has to prove himself yet. He's only got 274 major league at bats.
-
Would you take LeCroy for Phelps?
-
Give me a bit to mull that trade offer, whoever Serenity is.
-
Our league uses waiver rules, so you have about two days to claim un-drafted players.
-
Figured I'd get bunches of middle relief due to autodraft. I need a better shortstop.
-
How are they going to get an All-star second baseman by the break. They need trade bait, and they have nothing of value in the system. Those people are idiots. Nothing has changed. Its simple. The Yankees are counting on staying healthy in order to win the division. As are the Red Sox. If either team falters and has a rash of injuries, the Blue Jays could steal a playoff spot. The Orioles will make it in the event of a miracle. The Devil Rays should improve, but have no realistic chance.

I hadn't heard about a stroke, but this is pre-stroke obviously. The sim actually only uses to variables for referees. How often they call fouls, and how quickly they stop a fight.
-
The A-Rod acquisition is overblown. You have to remember that they lost Alfonso Soriano AND Aaron Boone. Rodriguez doesn't make up for that.
-
Thanks for keeping me updated guys. I really appreciate it.

See first post. Title Bout Championship Boxing.

Damn. I really don't need LeCroy when I have Pudge. And I'm just asking to jump on the Yankees' injury brigade.

I'm not kidding you at all. Clutch hitting comes from a matter of luck, basically. The more at bats you collect in a sample, the more a player's situational stats tend to resemble his real stats. Look at Reggie Sanders. Luckily, Yahoo has situational stats all the way back to 1987, so we can measure his entire career. Total, he has an .835 career OPS. With RISP and 2 out, its .870. Down the list, they all fall in the 800 level. Derek Jeter, clutch god, does his best hitting with the bases empty, although his situational stats tend to match his career stats. I've yet to see a truly "clutch" measuring tool, and I don't think one exists. If a player truly is clutch, he should perform at a high level all the time. When a player has tremendous numbers in a single category, its usually due to a small sample of at bats. Nothing more.

Some owners worse than Marge Schott (in my lifetime)...... Wayne Huzeinga Bud Selig Jeffrey Loria

Bull. Babe Ruth used a corked bat at some point. Lets yank him from the record book. Gaylord Perry doctored baseballs. Gone. Players have been exploiting the rules since the beginning of the game.
-
I can live with that so far.

For the love of god can somebody please tell me how to get this Java shit installed on my damned computer?
-
Grrrrr.

I'm trying in vain to get this stuff off Sun's webpage, which is doubtlessly bogged down from thousands of others doing the same thing. Needless to say I am extremely pissed with Yahoo at this point.
-
Fuck. I have to track down and download obsolete software? WHo designed this crap?
-
Fucking work. Got out a half hour late, so I'm scrambling to get my stuff together in time.

I assume you'll unblock that after you've entered the teams, right?
