Well, given the setup of the Red Sox pitching (Pedro and Lowe, and pray for snow) this obviously helps their chances. Hopefully this also gives the teams a chance to cool off after yesterday's discraceful performance.

And to further that one a bit, the Yankees received an extra day off in the middle of the division series. Honestly though, I don't think the off days matter for anything except pitching matchups. And the Yankees have four starters of similar quality, so they can pitch whoever without it making a big difference.

Tomorrow's game is important for the Cubs. If they can win the series without going to Wood/Prior, than they can set up those two for games 1 & 2 of the World Series.

I imagine so. Los Angeles is a big market, the Dodgers have a large fanbase, and the stadium is considered high quality. In addition, the Dodgers will clear Brian Jordan and Andy Ashby's contracts, an easy $15 million.

I think the Dodgers might grab him. They're a high payroll team who DESPERATELY need any kind of decent hitting infielder.
