It could be the sequel to Bend It Like Beckham.

Ok, lets get this out of the way Every team has sucked at some point, including your team. Now lets cease this silly name calling, because we all know it just runs in a circle. How about predictions for tonight's game?

I figure Malone is a safe pick for forward. There were a few better guards on the table, but I figure a guard or two will still be around in round 3.
-
With our second round pick, the Pocono Poison select PF Karl Malone, of the Los Angeles Lakers.
-
Based on thirdhand information, yes he is.

espnnews just ran it on the scroll. I don't follow hockey much, but anytime an athlete dies its indeed very sad. Condolences to the usual suspects.

Generally the 5th and 6th Umps are there to judge fair foul calls down the lines, and any other plays in the outfield that require their judgement.

Nice little bit of sarcasm. Its worth noting that Maris hit 30 of his 31 home runs on the road. I'd also note that the home run explosion started BEFORE the Black Sox scandal. Ruth would've hit 40 home runs in 1919 if he didn't play in Fenway Park that year. The real catalyst for the "lively" ball was the Ray Chapman beanball.

The A's remind me of the Phillies and Royals teams of the late 70s. Both teams won their divisions for three straight years, but kept getting beat in the championship series every damned time. If there's a silver lining, its that both teams finally broke through in 1980.

That's because Shaq has missed games due to injury.

http://espn.go.com/boxing/news/2003/1004/1630682.html Not only did Holyfield lose, but he lost to a guy who really isn't in the realm of legitimate heavyweight contenders. Holyfield doesn't have the skills to compete anymore, and he really should hang up the gloves.

Oakland @ Boston 1pm ESPN Tim Hudson vs. John Burkett A's lead series 2-1 First off, why do the channels mix up game times like this. The Sox and A's play late, then early? In any case, the Sox are in their toughest challenge of the postseason. Much has been made of the Tejada play, but the A's had plenty of chances to win, and they've got 2 games left. If they don't win, they'll have much more to blame. NY Yankees @ Minnesota 4pm ESPN David Wells vs. Johan Santana Yankees lead series 2-1 Not much to say about this one. Santana is the ace of the Twins staff. Wells is Wells. Chicago Cubs @ Atlanta 8pm fox Kerry Wood vs. Mike Hampton Series tied 2-2 This is what baseball is all about. One game for it all, and let the best team win. The Cubs have the better pitcher. The Braves have the better hitting, and home field advantage. I'm just going to sit back and enjoy this one.

Well, I've got 13 players ranked in anticipation for my next pick.
-
Yao Ming was a gamble compared to some of the other players on the table, Ben Wallace for example. I'm curious to see where Vince Carter lands in this draft.

Allen Iverson is a SG, not a PG
-
With our first pick, the Pocono Poison select SG Allen Iverson, of the Philadelphia 76ers.
-
Bored- The A's had several innings where they could have won it. They still have two games left. If they don't win the series, they'll have much more to blame than that call.
-
As an independant observer, I am loving this postseason.
-
That's not a stab at Ortiz by the way. Its a comment on those who parade clutch hitting as some inate skill.
-
So what happened to David Ortiz' clutch hitting ability? Oh yeah I forgot. There's not such thing.
-
I'm going try and keep this moving slightly. Should MrJ make his pick after I leave for the evening, I'm going to go ahead and name Allen Iverson my first pick. If Iverson is unavailable, then my pick is Shawn Marion. This way I won't hold up anything.
-
The announcers seemed VERY concerned about Smoltz's health.
-
I already switched over to the A's/Sox on ESPN2.
-
In addition, percentage is weighted too heavily towards centers.
-
I think its pretty obvious where Iverson is heading, and I think its pretty clear who these scoring changes hurt.
