Well, it was between this guy and Ankiel. I had no clue which I was going to pick, but VX made it pretty simple for me. John Maine, SP I've managed to build a nice set of starters I think, compared to the garbage I had last year. I kept no pitchers, and so far my starters are looking like the following... Rich Harden, Felix Hernandez, Javier Vazquez, Josh Johnson, and John Maine. Some decent risks, but aside from Harden, everyone is pretty safe and should be able to eat up quality innings. Also, I tried the heavy upside young guy pitcher route last year, didn't work. This year I'm going for vets that know what the hell they're doing for my core staff.

Probably not. Cust is solid as hell. Howie Kendrick, 2B Can we maybe get a full healthy season to see what this man can REALLY do? God I hope so.

The dunk contest isn't done. It was utter shit a few years ago, but its slowly starting to come back. It's just starving for some actual star power. Next year should have it. If James really does throw his hat in the mix we should get some actual talent as opposed to the typical jobber nba guys like Gerald Green and JR Smith. Each year we do see a lot of rehashed dunks, but I did see a few original dunks this year that were fine. The Rudy Fernandez dunk that took him 87 attempts because he had an idiot like Pau passing him the ball was really good looking. The Dwight Howard 12 foot rim dunk was nice. It could have been better if he would have raised it another foot and a half so that it would look ridiculously high. If he had to strain to dunk something at like 13 1/2 feet, that would have been amazing. His foul line dunk to end the contest was weak compared to his first 2 dunks. If would have done the foul line with a raised basket, he would have won the contest easily.

Dwight Howard should not have gotten a 50 on that first dunk. It was a 46, at best.

If this altercation would happen in my town, I'd have Brody's back. That Derek kid would get his ass beat. Plain and simple. From the pure clubbing hammock's that Brody would unleash, I couldn't possibly see Derek surviving any sort of squabble, sanctioned or not. County police would definitely get called. That would explain things. I had a pretty great hitting team last year before I blew it up with trades to rebuild, again. My pitching was utterly terrible though. It was my team's ultimate downfall. I definitely made sure so far this year I have some semblance of a pitching staff.

It's not overly complicated. Do a bit of research, find a guy you want, check to see if he's available, and then draft. That's it. Simple stuff. It takes 20 minutes to mark who is available and who isn't on rankings page. There are plenty of free sources online that are tolerable to use. Things can be found via search engines. If your finances are so tight that 6.99 for a magazine is utterly going to ruin you, you really need to cancel your internet service as well to save money. The league is almost over organized, if anything. Outside of telling you who to pick, I don't know what else I could do for you. The only thing that didn't get put into the first three posts this year were positions and our stat categories. I'll go add them to the league rules now. The blame was not placed initially on you. It was just general disgust/detest by the entire league for you selecting 2 guys that weren't available, then instantly leaving the board and not checking back for days to make sure they were legal. You were overly late for your second round pick. Showed up after your third rounder was already pending as well due to the time limit, and then picked 2 guys already drafted. Then vanished for 4 days. Had Johan Santana not been one of those players it might not have seemed so absurd. No way is Santana, if he was available, lasting that far, let alone past the top 5 picks. If you were so confused from the get go, you should have stated earlier that you were confused about what to do, not 10 days and 4 rounds into the drafting process that you couldn't handle it. Yep, post 2 has all the keepers alphabetical by first name. The keepers are also dispersed throughout post 1 according to the round that they are being associated with. Post 3 has each mangers keeper list, along with the league rules. Take your time, no rush. It'll take you a little while to sift through and determine who is available and who isn't. Welcome to the league! Once Al makes his selections, the draft will resume as normal with JHawk on the clock with his 4th/5th round pick.
