So Heenan really didn't mean to give it away then? No, I am pretty sure he was just doing what his charicter was doing the whole show. Heenan loved Hogan because working w/ him meant more $$$. But his character has despised him for years and would NEVER trust a guy like Hogan. Plus, there was a sense of paranoia in kayfabe WCW. NO ONE was ruled out as being the 3rd man, so it's natural that Heenan would make that observation. That's correct. Hennan, in Kayfabe, hated Hogan for YEARS, and was just playing the heel announcer to Hogan's babyface character. I don't know if he knew Hogan was the 3rd man, but if he did he wasn't intentionally blowing it.

Rock's heel turn at Survivor Series 98(The last turn I never saw coming) Hogan being the third man at BATB 96, along with Hennan's classic line (But who's side is he on?!) Eric Bischoff shows up on Raw in 2002.

Actually, yeah I didn't read the thread. I was kind of in a rush. Sorry about that. And I wasn't really EXPECTING Edge to win, it's just that usually when you build a wrestler's character around the "OMG I MUST GET TITLE OR DIE" character, he usually, you know, gets it. Perhaps it was just the wrong time to introduce that particular aspect of him, and they should ahve waited until after WM? Or something? Basically, i'm more confused than anything. I don't undersatnd why they'd build a character around that, and have the blow off fizzle out like it did. fizzle in the sense of Edge not actually getting the title, I mean.

While the tag title change is cool, I liked the Tajiri/Rhyno team a lot better, personally. Nothing against Regal, of course. But let me get this straight, Edge's character is built up for a LONG time as going psycho after the world title, months even. So they blow it off on a taped Raw from Japan? am I the only one that sees problems with this?

I don't think it was clear at all. I don't even know if he was being pushed as strong as Hassan is today. The only guy of note he beat was Virgil. I think it came as a shock to many, especially since many were predicting Savage vs. Bret at Mania. Was Bret/Yoko the -plan all along, then? and If it was Bret/Savage then it was scrapped, why? Does that also explain why Savage and Yoko were the final 2? Edit: Those aren't specifically directed at Cawthon, anyone can answer if they know.
