Its time for a VELOCITY (12-04-04) THREAD

Well, keep in mind that there are 3 types of buyers: Those that buy only the big 4(RR, WM, Survivor Series, Summer Slam) every signle year on name only. Those that buy every single PPV, and those that decide on a month to month basis which ones to buy. The big 4, especially Wrestlemania, are doing to do resaonably well-very well year in and year out. It's PPVs likes this, and Taboo Tuesday, that need to be scrapped.

Its time for a VELOCITY (12-04-04) THREAD

You may have to go back to 2000 for those types of expectations. Armageddon 2000 December 10, 2000 in Birmingham, AL Jefferson Civic Center drawing 14,920 ($572,990) Shown live on PPV (1.15) Scotty Too Hotty pinned D-Lo Brown. Dean Malenko, Perry Saturn, & Eddie Guerrero beat Lita, Matt & Jeff Hardy (8:06) in an "elimination" match. Malenko was the sole survivor. Jeff pinned Guerrero (2:57). Saturn pinned Jeff (3:41). Matt pinned Saturn (5:08). Malenko pinned Matt (5:34). Malenko forced Lita to submit (8:06). WWF European Champ William Regal pinned Hardcore Holly (4:59). Val Venis pinned Chyna (5:02). Chris Jericho beat Kane (17:16) in a "last man standing" match. Edge & Christian beat The Dudley Boys, Road Dogg & K-Kwik, and The Goodfather & Bull Buchanan (9:42) in a "fatal four way" match to win the WWF Tag Title when Christian pinned Buh Buh. Chris Benoit beat Billy Gunn (10:03) via submission to win the WWF I-C Title. WWF Women's Champ Ivory beat Trish Stratus and Molly Holly (2:12) in a "triangle" match when she pinned Stratus. WWF World Champ Kurt Angle beat The Rock, Steve Austin, Rikishi, Triple H, and The Undertaker (32:14) in a "hell in a cell" match when he pinned The Rock.

Why doesn't Bush curtail the spending?

They did. there was a $9.8 billion buyout of tobacco farmers.

Will HHH win the battle royale tonight

My likely scenario: Benoit wins the Battle Royal and the title. Next week, we get a possible **** Benoit/Jericho Main Event that draws mega heat. HHH wins the title back from benoit at the january PPV thereby 1) Finally getting at least one of all those jobs back from Benoit, and 2) setting up an Orton Rumble win for a HHH/Orton WM 21 main event
  9. WM 6 had 14 matches? Wow.

    Favorite Underused WWE Wrestler?

No. He's accurate. He did the Brand Split, so he has two world Champions. Rhyno is the WWF champion.

    OAO Raw is Radno Thread

Stay on topic Loss. This is about what you'll be doing instead next Monday. I'd pay $34.95 to see Loss book Raw for a month. Then again, seeing a smark run Raw period would be amusing.

    OAO Raw is Radno Thread

I'll mark out like a little girl if Jericho wins the title at some point in the next month.
  14. What was the last PPV with no title changes?

Question about the WM 2000 bonus disc

Vince Sr. died on May 27th 1984 at age 63, from cancer.
  16. Tht's why whenever I order a show I get as many friends together as possible for it. 3 people paying 11.65 is far more reasonable.
  17. Looks like Flair in an amagalmation of various Billy Gunn gimmicks. I was going to give DerangedHermit props for being the first poster to ever use a word that I had to look up in the dictionry..... Then I saw that he spelled it incorrectly. amalgamation*
  18. Survivor Series 1993: Four Doinks vs. Bigelow's Team What's better than one Doink? Four Doinks, of course. Check out this match where Men on a Mission and the Bushwackers dress up like Doink the Clown to take on Bam Bam Bigelow, the Headshrinkers and Bastion Booger. Survivor Series 1996: Rocky Maivia, The Stalker, Jake Roberts, Marc Mero vs. Triple H, Crush, Jerry Lawler, Goldust This match marked the beginning of one of the greatest careers in the history of sports-entertainment, as Rocky Maivia (known now as The Rock) made his WWE debut to take on the foursome headed by Triple H. Survivor Series 2002: Big Show vs. Brock Lesnar Paul Heyman plays a huge role in this WWE Championship match pitting monsters Big Show and Brock Lesnar against each other. Survivor Series 2002: Elimination Chamber The Elimination Chamber is widely known as the most unforgiving structure in the history of sports-entertainment. In this match, Triple H, Rob Van Dam, Chris Jericho, Kane, Booker T and Shawn Michaels risked permanent damage in an attempt to capture the World Heavyweight Championship. Survivor Series 1992: Razor Ramon & Ric Flair vs. Randy Savage & Mr. Perfect Don't miss this legendary tag team encounter, as four sports-entertainment legends compete in the same ring when former Intercontinental Champions Mr. Perfect and Randy "Macho Man" Savage team up to take on Razor Ramon and future Hall of Famer Ric Flair. Survivor Series 2003: Shane McMahon vs. Kane In 2003, Shane McMahon and Kane were engaged in one of the most bitter rivalries ever seen on RAW. It all came to a head at Survivor Series when they battled each other in a grueling and unique Ambulance Match. No Hart/Austin SS96?!

The One and Only WWE Firing Thread.

Well, Henry's contract is up in 2006 sometime, I think he's only got about another 15 months with the company.

    New WWE.com layout

    I like it.
  22. All of those wrestlers released, and yet WWE still has too many people under contract, in my opinion. I say get rid of some more. Although, this isn't close to when WCW had over 100 wrestlers under contract at once.

WWE Releases Billy GUnn and A-Train

A-Train had some underrated matches with Benoit. Test had that match with Shane. Billy Gunn's best days were with Road Dogg in DX and the NAO. That's about all the three of them were good for.

    War Games at Survivor Series?

Yes. You're correct. Keller, or whoever typed that up, is wrong.
