    fantasy dvd

Bret, Austin and the Rock all need the Flair DVD treatment.

    WWE DVD's

Buy Flair and Benoit, and hold out and get the Bret DVD later. Why? Because who wouldn't want Survivor Series 96 and Wrestlemania 13 and the Canadian Stampeede 10-man in DVD quality?

So you'd like to hate Brooke Hogan

That is the most amazing thing of my entire life. I can't believe Hogan actually knows a wrestling move. That's going in my sig.

    100 Reasons..

    71. Ed Leslie main eventing the biggest PPV of the year due to Hulk hogan 72. The Doomsday cage match at Umcemsored 96, possibly the worst match EVER. 73. The NWO punking out the 4 horsemen, instead of the other way around. 74. Vince Russo raping Kayfabe. 75. Their absolute total and utter misuse and raping of Bret Hart's legacy.
  6. spense. (blasted subtitle getting cut-off) Velocity: John Heidenrech (w/Paul Heyman) vs. Shannon Moore. Johnny Stambolli (w/Nunzio) vs. Danny Basham (w/Doug Basham) (3) Hardcore Holly vs. Akio (4) Rob Van Dam vs. Rene Dupree Smackdown: Spike Dudley vs. Chavo Guerrero Jr. vs. Jamie Noble (No. 1 contender for the WWE Cruiserweigh Title) Bubba Ray Dudley (w/D-Von Dudley) vs. Kidman (w/Paul London) JBL vs. Mike Kruel Torrie vs. Sable vs. Dawn Marie vs. Miss Jackie John Cena vs. Luther Reigns
  7. I can just see Duggan in NYC clubbing someone with a 2X4 for not tipping him enough.

that segment almost beat the overrun? *gouges out eyes*
  9. no, two reasons: 1) Part of the fun is that you know they're going to go an hour, so more people would tune in(or tune out, depending on how much they want to see wrestling). 2) another large part of the Iron man match, as evidenced in brock angle, is the strategic use of falls. one could take a DQ to get two quick pins, among numerous other scenarios and ways the scoring system can be used. There are also advantages to them jsut going the hour without the advertising, but I personally find the Ironman format better.
  10. Yeah, that's what I said I thought the finish would likely be earlier, but in your comparison thing you screwed up a little. Eugene wouldn't attack Benoit (Rock) because that would lead to HHH getting DQed and cause Benoit to win and retain, not HHH. That'd be pretty lame to recycle a finisah from a previous Ironman match, I can totally see them doing that, though. the only real problem I have with this is that the Ironman match is supossed to be, like HIAC, the ultimate blowoff. A good example of this is the Rock/Triple H Ironman. Watch the "one hour" promo video fro that match, it's brilliant stuff. The build to Rock/Triple H was also done well. The problem with this match is that Triple H had more been feuding with friend Shawn Michaels than Benoit. There's no deepset hatred here. Triple H hasn't been constanly trying to take Benoit out ever since WM 20, it just doesn't deserve an Ironman match right now. I'm not going to complain that much thouygh, seeing as I'll see it live and uncut.
  11. 10 BECOMES NINE July 19, 2004 Last Thursday night, over 25 of the world's most beautiful women competed for just 10 spots in the finals of the $250,000 RAW Diva Search. RAW Superstars Triple H, Randy Orton, Chris Jericho and Edge made the decision. Tonight, you make the decision. Watch RAW, as all 10 girls strut their stuff for you, the fans. Then you decide which girl you like the best. Details on voting will be made available on RAW. WWE.com has just learned of a huge Vengeance rematch that will take place on this week's RAW. The new Intercontinental Champion, Edge, will defend his gold against former champion, and Evolution member, Randy Orton. Will the belt go back around Orton's waist? Find out tonight on RAW. On Monday Night RAW last week, Eugene thought he had captured the World Heavyweight Championship. Then, during his post-match celebration, he thought his new "friends" Evolution were coming down to celebrate with him. Little did he know that the faction was coming to tear him apart. Led by Triple H, Evolution decimated Eugene, leaving him a bloody mess. What will happen next in the Eugene/Evolution saga? Tune in to RAW to find out (9/8 CT on Spike TV). . Prediciton: the diva search segments bomb in the quarter hour ratings breakdown. Not much of a preview for tonight. More Triple H and Eugene...and not much else to go on. I'm assuming we'll see Rhyno chasing La Rez some more, and if we're lucky perhaps the re-packaged Helms will debut. NOTE: Post has been edited to reflect updated Preview announcing Edge vs. orton

The "what WWE are doing well" thread

Yes. I agree Also, they're making a Bret Hart DVD. It's about time.
  13. I've never personally seen either, but I'd reccomend checking out hart/Flair as I've talked to a lot a people about it and no one has rated it below ****, with a couple even going as high as ****3/4 If Vince and Co. were really witty, they'd of ocurse have it sponsored by Iron city beer
  14. I enjoyed both. Both better than Brock/Angle, anyway. Although even that match was a decent ***. There hasn't been a BAD Iroman match yet. At least in my opinion, anyway. and yes, a DQ finish would likely kill the crowd.
  15. Well, I tihnk that's a tad bit overbooking, and I don't like that, personally. If they're going to do this properly, I tihnk it should be done clean. Also, if I decide to record this, anyone know where I can host it? The full uncut version, I mean.
  16. The only problem I can see with tihs is, how is it going to end? They've done the tie, the screwjob last second fall, and the clean last second fall attempt. So what does that leave for this one? Triple H taps at the last second? Eugene interferes and pulls the SWERVE~! turns heel, and costs Benoit the title? I mean, considering the 3 endings they've used already, I'm out of ideas. Fresh ones, anyway.
  17. As I said in the Raw thread, I'll be at next week's Raw. We all know that a motivated Triple H and Benoit can go, so if this doesn't hit at least ****, I'm going to be disappointed. I'm going to think about taking a handheld to get the full uncut hour, also. As far as Pittsburgh being one of the wrose crowds, I wouldn't say so. Of course, I haven't been to a live event since pre-brand split. I was at KOTR 98 though, and it was one of the loudest reactions I've ever seen when Foley fell off the cell. and JN_News, if you're not aware of the Hart/Hart Ironman I'm guessing you're not aware of the Flair/Bret one either?
  18. An Angle/Benoit Ironman would have been better. ah well. *is still content to see this Ironman live*
  19. Is Jericho being billed as from NY something new? Or am I just THAT olivious to the ring announcer?
  20. I mean I like the match, it was a soild ***, but considering that Borck and ANgle are capable of the upper **** range, in that sense it was disappointing. But for what it was, yes, an enjoyable match.
  21. If by enjoyed, you mean ***, then no.
  22. *remembers Brock/Angle* It isn't going to be all that memorable...especially thanks to commercial breaks. I missed Tajiri--glad to see him back. I meant live. I'll be attending Raw. Or maybe you got what I meant...I'm assuming they don't pause during commericals.
  23. So, anyone know how tight security is? I might try to sneak in a camcorder to get the full 60 minutes....
  24. Wow, I get to see an Ironman match next week. This is sweet.
  25. Just a quick note, they updated the preview and announced an Edge/Orton rematch. I don't like this at all, and it's a major issue with single brand PPVs, I think. We've now had MULTIPLE instances of them having a PPV match, only to give it away on free TV later. Isn't this a major disincentive for me to plunk down my $35?
