It's drained over the years. I was a huge WWF fan from 91-96. then I got the internet in march of that year, found out about the nWo, the Bash at the beach PPV, and the entire "third man" angle. I watched WCW and the WWF consistently from then untill 99(the Hart Foundation and the Bret/Austin feud are some of the best angles ever in my mind). I stopped watching WCW in 99. I stopped watching WWF in late 2000. I heard about Vince buying WCW, gave the invasion a chance and saw it was going to bomb, and stopped wathcing. I picked up again after Jericho won the title, because he had been one of my favorites. I stopped after WM XVIII. I watched sporadically after that, WMXIX, the Brock-Angle Iron Man. Nothing ever really truly captivated me to suck me back in again. I got excited about WMXX, however. and recently I've seen the Triple Threat, Shawm/HHH from the rumble and 12/29 raw, and Benoit/Sasuke from the 94 J-cup finals, all for the first time. It's watching matches like that that reminded me of how truly awesome this sport can be, I guess, so I'm interested again(only in Raw though, I haven't watched Smackdown since the Brock-Angle Ironman) So we'll see how this time goes. WWE is doing a good job of keeping my interest so far, so I don't know how long I'll stick around this time.

Put on great wrestling and build the angles around it, and not the other way around. I don't care what Vince thinks, or how "sports entertainment" he wants to make things. It's still WRESTLING. Even the casual fan knows it, and would follow it. I don't think it's jsut us that have an interest in the great matches. We just like the great wrestling more than other fans do. Get rid of all the pathetic workers, the ones that put on 1/4*-*1/2 matches. they're worthless. Either that or put them all on Heat or Velocity. Smackdown doesn't get better until the wrestling gets better, that's my personal opinion on the matter, anyway. I don't mind the JBL gimmick, but he can't WRESTLE. I don't pay $35 for a man who can't wrestle, or to see a 50 something year old man with the cruiserweight title. I just don't. Someone needs to tell Vince this. Actually, I bet they have, and he won't listen.

that was quite amusing. and I agree with the montreal screwjob. Vince needs to stop fedding his own ego, or whatever re-creating it does for him. It's even worse when they do it and they're not actually in montreal. It worked brilliantly at the 98 Survivor Series with Rock/Foley(the last truly shocking turn I saw in WWE) but jeez, let it die already. To add my own, it was brought up by someone in another thread, but they need to stop using the same tag formula for EVERY tag match. Face in peril/hot tag ALL the time has gotten incredibly stale.

Brasdshaw is one of the people that does not deserve to be on the roster. He doesn't deserve to be in the main event, and he can't work the midcard. My defenition of a mid-carder is someone who consistently puts on **-**12 matches. Bradshaw can't even do that.

Well, the Lita thing would have to be resolved tonight, and if not, soon. They can't have Kane in two feuds(hardy/benoit) at the same time. Personally, I'd love a huge 10 man with Benjeman/Hardy/Benoit/Edge/HBK vs Evolution/Kane. I'd assume they'd want to promote that for a while, though.

Well, regardless if you like or dislike the look, how was his presence/style of wrestling in general? In other words, is it possible for him to actually seem like a credible threat to Taker when they start fueding?

Should they? No. Will they? probably not. Everyone misses Owen, but we all know he's dead and gone. Better to let the pain fade with time than to constantly remind us, in my opinion.

No. At least not on a constant basis. String would be best used in a one-time Wrestlemania match for a nostalgia pop. Don't let him repel out of the ceiling however, it would remind too many people of Owen Hart.(at least I would think so) Speaking of which, the 5 year anniversary of his death is next week.

This is a valid point in a way. I wouldn't cal lit lazy, but WWE doesn't have an offseason. Real television writers get the summer off. I'm not saying there should be an offseason, that would probably hurt business, and have mopre neagtives than positives, but I thnik it would be tough to be motivated 52 weeks a year, that plus coming up with fresh new ideas week in and week out. It has to be tough no matter how good you are. Maybe what they need is a one-time vacation. Say a month or so. Make it after Summerslam until the beginning of October so you can still build for Survivor Series. Matybe that would help the company get itself together and give it time to figure out who it was going to use and how.

they need new writers. The only way I can see this happeningis if ratings/profits go down to a point where Vince is willing to make such a change. I'm not advocating a boycott WWE movment, but they are still a company. The easiest way to harm a company is to hurt their bottom line, then they're forced to change.
