I'll be there at this week's show, and I haven't seen Hogan since I was a kid when he came to a house show in Pittsburgh about 13 years ago, so I'm excited for this one. It won't top the last Raw that was here (Benoit/HHH Ironman) but I'll probably enjoy the show becasue I'll be there live, and I've got 2nd row. I also look for them to set up Angle/Eugene for SS this week.

I'm not sure which of these will air, and I'm going from memory so they're sketchy:

Wow. This is a very significant part in Wrestling history. WM13 was originally booked for Shawn Vs Bret in a rematch. Bret was booked to go over. Shawn refused to do this. So did he bother lay down and move the title over at least? No. literally days before a In Your House ppv, on a special thursday edition of raw...Shawn forfieted the title because he "lost his smile" (meaning didnt have the desire) Clearly it was a chickenshit move from Shawn to avoid doing the job. He got out of it and also claimed a knee injury as well which was pretty much fake. Because of this, they had to put the title on Bret and then put it on Sid the next night. completely changing the card for Mania and giving us the worst main event in Mania history. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> and also giving us one of the greastest matches and piece of sotrytelling that ever took place in a North American ring, so it was kind of like Shawn screwed Shawn with that one.

Kane is "arrested" and Edge is now fighting Hardy at SUmmerSLam. I doubt the two will have much interaction leading up to the PPV, unless this week is the blowoff.

Had it not been for Montreal/Bret leaving, we'd have gotten an Austin/Hart Wrestlemania rematch for the WWF title, and Boston would ahve gone nuclear.

WWF from KOTR 96-April98. Solely becasue I'd have wanted Hart/Austin for the title as a blowoff to the Hart FOundation/Austin feud.

I'll be buying this on day one. Does anyone ahve any idea of a release date? Match suggestions: (someone please tell me if any of these are already on other releases) VS. Ric Flair (first WWF title) Vs. British Bulldog (SummerSLam 92) vs. Brainbusters (I forget the date of tihs one) vs. Austin (WM13/SS96) Canadian Stampeede 10 man vs. Mr. Perfect KOTR 93 and/or SS91 vs. Owen WM 10 Vs. Micahels (either SS92, WM12, or SS97) VS. Benoit WCW mayhem/Owen Hart tribute match I'm at a loss for other WCW matches, as I stopped watching after I saw how he was being used so incorrectly. Were there any good ones?

So, who does Eugene face in the invitational? I'm assuming this eventually leads to a SummerSlam match with Angle. I think it's going to be a good week for my fantasy team this week. I sure hope this show is good, as I'll be there live next week.

Got that right, X is THE reason that I even bother coming into this folder.

Not to be offensive towards you, but perhaps one of the reasons that you feel unsatisfied is that you became a fan right around the "boom" period when the influx of casual fans was large due to the larger appeal of the product. It could jstu be that you've tired of wrestling becasue you weren't THAT interested in the first place. WWE has been stale since late 2001, with a few bright spots here and there. After I attenend the AUgust 8th Raw, I'll probably largely tune out the product as well.

As being part of two of the greatest singles matches in North AMerican history. (Wresltemania XIII and Survivor Series 96) and as part of of the great multi-person tag match ever (Canadian Stampede 10 man)

I know that WWE saves money by taping Smackdown. My question is, however, HOW does taping a show save money as opossed to airing one live?

At least We'll have the cruisereight Battle Royal form Slamboree 98 as one of the greatest segments ever.

there is no PPV in OCtober, there's two in November. Taboo Tuesday and Survivor Series. Not really important since you're going to SummerSlam anyway, but yeah. and if that Calendar is correct, that means that Raw gets Unforgiven adn Smackdown gets Taboo Tuesday, which means That there would be 10 Raws inbetween Unforgiven and Survivor Series. That's a long time.

Oddds are 3:1 that Shawn loses his smile halfway through the match.

That's the Jericho I miss. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> That entire segment, form the introductions until the end of the title match, is honestly one of the funniest/best segments I've ever seen.

scenario A: Cena drops the Title to jericho who jobs to HHH at Survivor Series, as the two haven't feuded since the buildup to WM 18. HHH beats a newly face turned Angle(or they could do heel/heel) at RR. Cena wins the RR, Cena beats HHH at WM XXII. Scenario B: Jericho loses to Cena who drops the title to HHH at SUrvivvor Series, beats Face/Heel Angle, Cena wins the Rumble, and then beats HHH to regain the title at WM 22. Scenario B seems more likely. they could also save Kurt/Hunter for Wretlemania, as the two last had a match in.what was it? 2000? They'd be fresh becsue they haven't feuded in so long. I doubt it though.

Mario Lemieux The only other player to scroe 200 points in a season, the man would have utterly destoryed all ofGgretkzy's scoring marks had it not been for various injuries and diseases which allowed him to play only one full season(back, ribs, cancer) He should be considered the greatest hockey player of all time, easily.
