I kinda think its stupid that they used to treat both belt holders as sort of the #1 contender to the Heavyweight/World Title and now the belts holders are more or less MidCard Champions. The IC title just because it has a lot more history and is on RAW. And I miss the TV Title with its time limit on matches and the subsuquent near pinfalls for the challenger only to be interupted by the time limit expiring.

I was stuck up in Johns Hopkins Hospital in the Childrens Center in Baltimore for my 2nd Open Heart Surgery in 1989 from November through early January. Spent Christmas in the hospital..fun times. Best two memories were my 2nd grade class sending up this huge ass Christmas Card that they all signed and getting to meet Cal Ripken (and get an autograph) and a few Baltimore Skipjacks minor league Hockey players and getting a bunch of stuff from them. I remember too that I used to watch Superstars on the weekends. I remember Demolition losing the tag belts..

No network is going to take the playoffs because it fucks up the new fall lineups either not being able to start new shows at all until november or having a big month and a half long gap between new eps. while everyone else is getting their new shows out and non baseball fans are watching those new shows instead..

Back to the original point of this thread (sort of) I encountered my first Red Box DVD rental center today at a Grocery store. $1 a night as long as you return the DVD back by 7pm the next night and there were probably about 40 movies to choose from (I dont know how many were in though). Payment with a credit card and movie selection via a touchscreen. Interestingly, I doubt it would be cheaper than Blockbuster..initially it sounds like it would be because I probably on average only get about 10 movies a month or so for $18, and as long as I returned the DVDs by the next night I could rent 18 for that same amount. But the grocery store location I found it at isn't on my normal route so it would be out of the way a bit to have to go to and from to rent and return the movies. I bet it would even out with gas factored in and then theres still the advantage of Blockbuster's 2 free game rentals (which I still have for being a member for 1 1/2 years now).

I only ever got to watch the ECW TV show that was on late night Saturdays, but it was cool because there would be a technical match and then there could be a flat out brawl with weapons and the like on the same show. I remember Styles shilling he ECW Hotline too...that was usually the a highlight. The production values stunk (even in so much as they would show fan cam footage which was even worse than their normal) but it didnt really matter. The fans were always involved in matches too which gave everything an added level of excitement. I remember clearly that ECW was sending out the luchadores at the same time WCW was, and the WCW fans sat there in silence for the most part whereas the ECW Fans would go nuts whenever one of them did anything remotely crazy.

Chris Ray gets save #18/18 and the Os win 4-2. Benson pitched 8 innings, retiring the last 15 batters he faced. The Mets sloppy play resulted in 3 errors.. I am stunned. Get out the brooms for tomorrow.

Os are winning 4-2, and from last night and so far tonight, it would be hard to believe the Os arent the team with the better record, as the Mets have been playing very sloppy. and Mora just got hbp.

Benson just took a 3-0 pitch from Pedro out for a solo HR to tie the game at 2. Nice..vs his old team and one of the premier pitchers in baseball. Last pitcher to hit a hr off Pedro was Doug Drabek in 1993.

I didnt read the thread before I just watched Smackdown, but I figured thered be a big JBL Love fest in here. It was a pretty ok show but JBL added a lot to it.

I got a seat right on the entranceway, 5 rows from the ring for the ECW show on August 14th. Should be fun I suppose.

All I know is like I said.. there must still be some sort of risk that I could have it. I know its probably like 1 in a 100 billion by now but still..if the Red Cross wouldnt take my blood for 9/11 or anytime else when they are constantly screaming "WE NEED YOUR BLOOD" like a bunch of Vampires run it, then there must be a risk.
