What was your favorite moment from

Surprisingly no one's mentioned 'Fuck John Cena'.

    The ECW ONS Thread

I actually thought they would go with Tanaka/Balls and, if he was even going to be on the show, Awesome attempting to kill Spike.
  3. The C Man

    The ECW ONS Thread

Even if he can only go for five minutes and has to wrestle one-legged please let him win the ECW title. IMPROMPTU MATCH~! Ok so it may make Rhyno look like a pussy for not being able to beat an injured guy but fuck it, I say it's worth it. By the time the next ECW show rolls around RVD will be fit and healthy.

    The ECW ONS Thread

Didn't RVD say in his interview that the ECW guys were going to do what Heyman's says anyway, no matter what Vince, Dunn, etc. wants.

    Turning WCW around in 2000.

WCW really needed The Radicalz, obviously moreso Benoit and Eddie, but especially Benoit. A Goldberg/Benoit feud would've worked, face vs face, or Benoit heel with Bret Hart possibly as his manager. You've got the Bret/Goldberg/career-ending stuff to play with, plus you could eventually have Benoit feel that Bret is just using him, trying to 'live through him' so to speak. Damn, so many possibilities. I'm gonna go live this out in EWR. Jarrett; Steiner; Sid; Flair; Sting; they all could have been positioned against Benoit. Goldberg/Awesome would've worked I think. You've got the similar size and builds; definately play up Awesome's speed, agility and hardcore background; plus Awesome had a high-power friend in Hogan. If a DDP/Kanyon feud led to Positively Kanyon then I would've been all for it. Kanyon was better at Page than Page was (or is). Judy Bagwell on a Pole anyone? Booker, Eddie, and to a lesser extent Storm (pro-Canada gimmick) would've been slowly built up on the undercard. Sean O'Haire had to be removed from the NBT, with or without Jindrak/Palumbo as a partner. He was far too good for the rest of them and needed to be built up in addition to the names mentioned above. Maybe have him and Jindrak/Palumbo kicked out, O'Haire eventually turned on and Jindrak/Palumbo returning to the NBT, O'Haire then taking out the rest of the NBT to get to Jindrak/Palumbo, and then taking them out as well. After taking out a full stable on his own maybe give him a U.S title reign, then the big push as a heel with Flair as his manager. No Goldberg heel turn, no Arquette, and no New Blood/Millionaries Club, especially with the young guys as the HEELS???. Plus imagine the possibilities had WCW stayed in business after ECW folded.

    The Biggest Angle Ever

I think that Lawler was just used to show that it had been going on backstage for years. After reading it it doesn't seem to me that Lawler was anything more than a plot device.

    The Biggest Angle Ever

Awesome, totally fucking awesome. There are so many ways the story could go, so many different layers and characters that can be logically added. Austin, Rock, Hogan, Foley, Lesnar, even Bret; they could all come back and be added easily. And they don't even have to wrestle (apart from Lesnar), just have them put over the new guard by saying that they couldn't get the job done so now it's up to the young wrestlers to end it once and for all. Despite the bickering and in-fighting I think finishing it could be tricky. To me it just seems like the ending requires the KO6 to retire.

    WWE promotions on ECW

Sorry but I don't think it's as bad as everyone else seems to think. If I was a wrestling fan and didn't know what it was all about it would intrigue me.

OAO Smackdown Thread for May 26, 2005

I call Angle going to RAW in the trade, joining Bischoff's anti-ECW group, going to One Night Stand, and being choked out to a monster reaction from Tazz.

    Taking Kurt Angle Seriously

What's wrong with the dork who's a killer in the ring? I've seen dorks kick some major ass in the 'real world'.

    HHH's Motivation

Good point. Six years, damn. Until you think about it you forget how long it's actually been. Where have all the years gone?

    HHH's Motivation

In some people's opinions Triple H was (and maybe still is) a great worker. I'm sure during his (extremely) long run at the top of the card that Triple H has also drew a lot of money. I'm not trying to justify Triple H being all over the shows or comparing him to Austin, I'm just trying to play Devil's Advocate here. Austin was the reason I got into wrestling in the first place.

    HHH's Motivation

Is this what the bitching was like when Austin was all over the shows back in the 'good old days'?
  14. The C Man

    Judgement Day

No it shouldn't. The title should be the focal point of a feud, and it wouldn't be if it was involved at this stage

    I don't think 911 is dead.

    I'd rather see a Chokeslam by 911.

    Brand Split

Everything is just so rushed. Austin could've been given the title on numerous occasions but they held off until he was white-hot; both HBK and Bret started as tag-team wrestlers then gradually worked their way up to the title; Rocky Miavia had a long route to becoming WWF champion The Rock; Foley started as the deranged mid-carder Mankind, took the fans through all of his different personalities and then finally won the title as a different incarnation of the Mankind persona. None of them were hot-shotted to the top, they were all allowed time to develop as well as being involved in high-profile feuds/angles. Fans could get to know them over a period of months, or even years.

    Pussy.

Damn, I thought everyone had forgotten about that.

    Greatest Rap Ever

Damn, I thought it was Kane/Edge and Benoit/Michaels. Shows how much attention I pay.

    Greatest Rap Ever

It'll make sense when Edge faces Kane and Lita turns, aligning with Edge.

    WWE worried about the backlash

It's a shoot. Matt, Lita, Edge, Edge's wife, Vince; they're all in on it. It's a nod to the Pillman 'I respect you, booker man' angle from WCW, and the first thing Bret Hart insisted on to appear at next year's Wrestlemania. Look for Paul Birchall to debut soon as a tribute to the British Bulldog.

    Can Venis' Career Be Saved?

Why don't they work the balding into a gimmick for him? Hear me out. First they need to create a Rick Rude/Ric Flair type character, a ladies man. I was thinking maybe Rob Conway. It would get him out of the stale La Rez, plus he could use his old 'Ironman' nickname as a sexual inneundo. Val would then become jealous because Conway represents everything that Val used to be. Maybe even have a few of the diva's refuse Val's advances but hook up with Conway to add to the jealousy.
