Anyway I think I'm going to do something crazy and actually go back on topic. I think they should have Rikishi make one more appearance with Scotty. Have Scotty turn and do a number on Kish. There you go Scott Taylor is now a heel and has a little bit of instant heat. Simple.

I like the idea of Shane bringing in Bischoff. But I think the best way to do that would've been to have Bischoff then turn on Shane, cementing Bischoff and WCW's status as heels. Then you've got WCW as a real outsider with no McMahon's involved.

I don't think they're the best ever but I really enjoyed the Positively Kanyon stuf. I remember he was leaving the arena in his car then stopped and got out, Diamond Cut a person walking by, and then drove away again.

That's because it's backyard wrestling.

I'd still like to see Hurricane traded to Smackdown and feud with (The Blue) Nova. Comic book hero vs comic book villain.

WWE Velocity 3rd July 2004 Commentary: Josh Matthews & Bill DeMott Billy Kidman vs Paul London The battle of the Shooting Star Press? Nice little competitive match. London seemed to have the match won when he hit a moonsault while Kidman was standing, but Kidman rolled through the pin and used the tights to get and advantage. Kidman had stolen a win, and London wasn't happy. Winner: Billy Kidman A video playing recapping the RVD/Heyman/Undertaker/U.S title situation. Funaki interviewed Billy Kidman about why he cheated to win. Kidman replied that all that is important is if you win, not how you win. Paul London then entered the fray and said that he wanted a rematch next week, or is Kidman scared because he had to cheat to beat London. Kidman accepted and said he would beat London next week, but couldn't guarantee he wouldn't cheat again. Shannon Moore vs Sakoda Sakoda wasn't with Akio. Probably due to what happened on Smackdown (go read it now folks). Anyway Moore picked up the win when he hit the Mooregasm. Winner: Shannon Moore Another video played this time concentrating on the JBL/Angle/Eddie segment from Smackdown. 15-foot steel cage, WWE title, Smackdown, next week. Billy Gunn (w/Hardcore Holly) vs Danny Basham (w/Doug Basham) As you may have guessed this was a MOTY contender. Maybe for worst match of the year. But saying that it wasn't that bad. Sure it wasn't the Dynamite Kid vs Tiger Mask but nor was it Pat Patterson vs Gerry Brisco evening gown match. Billy Gunn's still quite over. Why? Nonetheless Billy Gunn won with a Fameasser. Can you guess what happened after the match? That's right, a four-man brawl. I'm guessing there's going to be a tag match quite soon. Winner: Billy Gunn

Am I hot-shotting titles in my fed?
The C Man replied to Rob E Dangerously's topic in General Wrestling
Yes. -
I'm asuming you weren't going for the 'realistic' approach then? I don't really know what this is or where it's from but I'm going to treat it like it was a 'realistic' angle. Raven doesn't play well with others. Especially when they are supposedly his equal. It only works with Raven if his stable-mates are his bitches. And with JJ involved that aint gonna happen. Jerry Lynn isn't 'big' title material. He's good in the ring but that's about it. I can't stand Funk anymore. I appreciate what he has done in the business but I just can't watch a 50-odd year-old man get beaten up anymore. It aint right. There's only one company Foley would wrestle for. Even then he would only wrestle the odd one-shot match.

Someone mentioned Positively Kanyon. BANG! Someone should definately start a topic solely about Positively Kanyon. Hell Kanyon was better at Page than Page was. Anyone remember the Judy Bagwell on a forklift match?

Didn't understand a word. Someone hook me up with a translation.

WWE Smackdown! 1st July 2004 Commentary: Michael Cole & Tazz The show kicked off with the fireworks and pyro, with Cole and Tazz welcoming us to the show. Rather than going to the ring for a match we went to the office of General Manager Kurt Angle, with his 'muscle' Luthar Reigns. Angle told Luther to go fetch Eddie Guerrero but Luthar replied that he wasn't here yet, he was having transport trouble. Angle said that Eddie better make it to the arena before the end of the show, or else. Angle then told Luthar to "go do that other thing" instead. Just as Luthar was leaving Booker T entered Angle's office. Booker was pissed that RVD and Rene Dupree were booked in a no.1 contender's match and he wasn't. Angle told Booker to stop crying about it and go do something about it - "Did I cry when I broke my neck? No, I went and won an Olympic gold medal". Booker was still pissed and left the office muttering something under his breath. Rey Mysterio vs Akio (w/Sakoda) Cole stressed that this was a non-title match. As if we didn't know that already, what exactly has Akio done in the WWE of note? But he did get in some decent offence, hitting Rey with some stinging kicks. Sakoda decided to stick his nose in and attempted to aid his partner, but it backfired and Sakoda nailed Akio. Rey capitalised and hit the West Coast Pop to pick up the win. Akio wasn't happy after the match and headed to the back on his own. Is this the end of Kyo Dai? Does anyone care? Winner: Rey Mysterio While Kyo Dai had their little tiff outside the ring Rey was still celebrating inside it. He was about to leave when a strange video began playing. It said that we should all enjoy the happiness while we have it, because soon it'll be all over. "A plague is coming...soon". We went to the back again and joined Charlie Haas in his locker room. Suddenly GM Angle was wheeled in by Luthar. Angle was angry; angry at everything, but mainly at Charlie Haas. Haas had disappointed Angle. All Haas used to care about was wrestling and making a name for himself in this business, but now he's a joke, a wrestling clown. And Angle said he was going to do something about it, so tonight Haas would be going one-on-one with Mordecai. And it was next. Charlie Haas (w/Miss Jackie) vs Mordecai Haas had to get serious this week as he took on the strange Mordecai. Mordecai displayed his aggression and power but in the end Haas' wrestling skills triumphed. After getting a nearfall Mordecai lost his concentration momentarily and Haas rolled him up for the quick-fire three-count. Winner: Charlie Haas Up next Mr ECW himself Paul Heyman came to the ring with the tag champs The Dudley Boyz. Heyman spent most of the interview putting the Duds over, saying that they were untouchable in tag division and were MONSTERS~!. In fact rather than just talk about it they were going to show it. All three men then headed to the back and got a camera to follow them. They entered a locker room, which had Shannon Moore and Spike Dudley in it. The Dudleys then proceeded to demolish both Moore and Spike, putting Moore through a table. While all that was happening Heyman was still shouting at the camera, putting them over. He finished his tirade with the three commandments: "thou shalt not steal, thou shalt not kill, and thou shalt not f*** with the Dudleys". John Cena vs Johnny Stamboli (w/Nunzio) Cena decided to do a little pre-match rap. Can you guess what he rapped about? Yes, that's right, he talked about Stamboli and Nunzio being gay. Yawn, wake me up when Cena gets interesting. The FBI are getting decent face pops, maybe they should be turned. The usual Cena match. If you've seen one then you've seen them all. He finished The Bull off with the F-U. Winner: John Cena Next Mordecai was in his locker room which was dark and had lots of candles around it. He was kneeling down and seemingly praying. He apologised, saying that he had failed, and begged for forgiveness. He said that he was no better than all the sinners, apologised, and then begged for forgiveness. Well, that was strange. I didn't realise a loss to Charlie Haas could do that to you. We then saw RVD in his locker room warming up, doing some stretching. In came Paul Heyman and the Dudleys. They told RVD that it was time, time for RVD to join them, time to "come home". RVD said no thanks and that he was quite happy by himself, he didn't need Heyman or the Dudleys. Heyman said that was fine but let RVD know that they had his back in his match. RVD said he didn't need or want them to interfere. Heyman assured RVD that neither him nor the Dudleys would interfere, but RVD would have backup. Whether he liked it or not. Heyman and the Dudleys then left, leaving RVD with a puzzled look on his face. U.S title no.1 contender Rene Dupree (w/Fifi) vs Rob Van Dam It looked as though Rene had the match won courtesy of a shot with a concealed chain, but the referee had been knocked down previously. As Rene went to check on the ref the lights went out and those crazy bongs started sounding. The Undertaker then appeared and slowly walked to the ring. He got in the ring as Dupree looked scared. Taker bypassed Rene and picked up RVD by the throat, in chokeslam position. But he suddenly changed his mind and chokeslammed Dupree instead. RVD climbed the ropes and nailed another Five Star Frog Splash. He made the cover, and the ref slowly counted the one-two-three. Winner: Rob Van Dam RVD is the number one contender to the U.S title. But what business did Taker have in the match? That was answered when Paul Heyman appeared at the entranceway, urn in hand. Taker - who was in the aisle - then dropped to one knee and saluted the urn. I guess Taker's a heel now, or maybe a tweener. After we came break from a commercial John Bradshaw Layfield was in the ring looking solemn. He looked quite upset. The general idea of what he was saying was that he had failed at Judgment Day, he had failed at the Great American Bash, and he had failed his country by not getting the title off of "that illegal immigrant". That then prompted GM Angle to come out - with Luther of course. Angle said that not only had JBL failed his country but he had failed Angle. But since America is the land of opportunity, and Angle has three I's - not two I's - he would grant JBL one more chance - his last chance - in this very ring, next week on Smackdown. And it would be inside a 15-foot steel cage. With that Angle left. . JBL complained that the match was "barbaric" but assured Angle that he would get the title off of Eddie and said that next week Eddie wouldn't be able to escape from the cage, "like he escaped from his own country into JBL's". Strangely that got a big pop. Even JBL seemed confused. But all was revealed when the camera angle changed. Eddie was standing behind JBL, title in hand. JBL turned, and Eddie clocked him with the belt, sending him down to the canvas. Cole: "Eddie prevailed tonight but will he come out on top next week when he meets John Bradshaw Layfield one-on-one for the WWE championship. And it's inside a 15-foot steel cage. Tune in to find out."

I'm not really liking the whole Edge thing. The Ric Flair-style ladies man gimmick sounds great to me but Edge can't go from hitting four women to hitting Kane with a chair. It just isn't right. It's a decent enough concept with only one little flaw. I think the best way to do that type of angle would be to have Wrestler X bust his ass for the title, have him really work for the title. Eventually he does it and wins the title. But gradually, over time, the title corrupts him. He now has money, power, and women hanging off his arm. In a strange twist of fate the title, the thing he really worked for and earned, has been his downfall. Sort of like the 'one ring' in the Lord of the Rings. Personally I wouldn't have put Christian in Evolution. He's cocky, arrogant and has Trish but doesn't fit the cool, stylish, ladies-men image. I think he's too similar to Randy Orton to click in the stable. I would've waited until Edge turned and then inducted him into Evolution. His new gimmick fits the bill perfectly. Or maybe you're going to do that and have E & C reunite somewhat.

WWE Vengeance extra matches money pool
The C Man replied to Placebo Effect's topic in The WWE Folder
As for Canadian Stampede I have a 1st Generation copy of the PPV brodcast (1st showing if it matters) and a capture card, broadband, etc. I'd be happy to encode and share it if someone has a good suggestion for where and what format. I don't have any good suggestions but please, please, please upload it. That's probably my favourite WWF/E card ever. Oh and did I mention: please upload it. -
Kidman should stop bitching and be very thankfull that he is even employed by the WWE, never mind winning any titles. **cough** TORRIE **cough**

Whose name has the letters 'o' and 's' in it, which if you put together make Os, which sound a lot like Oz, who was rather unsuccessfully played by Kevin Nash
-
So what exactly have you done again? Maybe I was blinded by the crap. Who knows? But what I did make out was that you left out Steve Austin - one of the most marketable and influencial wrestlers ever - and replaced him with Shane Douglas - a man who (if everyone's honest) never really sold anything in his entire career. And that therefore means you also left out Austin/Bret from WM13, one of the best Wrestlemania matches ever. Then you made Bossman beat Goldberg. **YAWN** Unless it concerns the Big Show's bastard daddy then nothing Bossman is worthwhile. I know it was just a simple little post that wasn't to be taken too seriously but I didn't really see the point of it. Sorry.

I'll hook you up with an update for EWR if you want. Firstly, you said that it was going to be 'realistic'. But mass firings are not very WWE-like or realistic. That's the main problem, it isn't realistic. I know this is fantasy and everything but you did say it was going to be 'realistic', so that's what I expected. And one more thing. Don't, and I repeat DO NOT, just copy and paste the matches directly from EWR. That is the ultimae sin among anyone who has ever used EWR for their fantasy bookings/diaries. I'm not asking for anything detailed just a simple summary of the match. Your 'My Opinion' bit isn't actually your opinion. The WWE won't be signing Styles for the foreseeable future. He turned down a development a while ago, he has a thick accent which the WWE don't like, and his style is the polar opposite of the WWE way of wrestling. I think I'll stop before I seem too negative. Sorry if it seems very negative but it's just my honest opinion having written diaries/fantasy booked before.

Who shares his christian name with Jimmy 'Akio' Yang

Thanks for reminding me about the 10-man. That's from the Canadian Stampede PPV, one of the WWF/E's best ever. My god the heat in that match was incredible. Then you had Sasuke vs Taka in the undercard. **drools**

Anything concerning Dynamite is awesome. I don't have anything else to do except says thanks.

I'd go for someone as the impartial authority. Heyman would be good but would be wasted in the role, he's far too good a heel. Long would be decent but may be a bit too comedic to get major angles over e.g. with the big title. Foley would be good because he can do almost everything - comedy, serious & impartial. Double A may have been out of the limelight too long for the casual fan to care at first. But he could definately get over given time. He's got the mic skills, the slightly menacing look which means he can't be intimidated by the heels, but may not be high-profile enough to take over given the previous GM's. Personally I think it would be better going with a name from the past therefore introducing somebody new into the mix rather than going with someone who has already filled the role.

Has anyone ever seen him actually wrestle? I don't mean that poor excuse for wrestling he attempted to do on Thursday night's. I mean actually wrestle. For all we know he could be a good 'wrestler'. But that's the problem, he wasn't told to wrestle. He was told to look mean and invincible, to be a monster. So rather than send him back to OVW why not give him a chance. Hell, this is the brand that has Bradshaw as champion. P.S - the Seven gimmick > the Mordecai gimmick

Well if it does mean a Kidman/London title shot then the WWE has done it all wrong (again). Firstly Kidman & London should've got involved in a little mini-feud, play up the fact that they can't co-exist. Then have the Dudleys squash them in an angle, not a match. Both London & Kidman go after the Duds alone but get squashed again. They then realise that the only way they can win is if they put their rivalry aside and team up. Meanwhile the Dudleys are built up as tag-team monsters, unbeatable in tag matches. When Kidman & London challenge the Duds for the belts go for the whole 'they can't co-exist so what chance have they got of beating the Dudleys' angle. Then have them pull out the huge upset win and go on to put their differences aside and become a well-oiled tag machine.

With the WWE giving JBL the big (or should that be little?) title not only have they crowned the worst champ since Kevin Nash but they've screwed up a potentially great storyline. Evil GM throws everything at Eddie, but Eddie overcomes the obstacles. In a final act of desperation Angle unleashes the Big Show - the man who 'ended his career'. Eddie somehow manages to keep his title. Angle then pulls a SWERVE~! and attacks Eddie himself, leading to Angle ending Eddie's title reign at Wrestlemania. But Show and Angle would have to be kept apart then when they eventually cross paths - no matter if they're both heels - it'll get a good pop. Nice one WWE, you've just killed a great Wrestlemania match, with a great story to back it up.
