  1. Even without the Flair sendoff, this was a great show. The Flair sendoff has achieved "Never Delete" status on my DVR.
  2. I thought NBC was bring back all new shows this thursday. I looked ahead on my TV schedule and for thursday night we get an hour of Earl and 3 episodes of "The Office". Where's my new episodes of Scrubs dammit!
  3. A sports movie with James Van der Beek doesn't count.
  4. I see Brian Giles is batting leadoff for the Padres. Has he ever batted leadoff before?
  5. I totally agree. And I'm glad that this segment didn't turn into an angle. I wouldn't be too certain of that. Batista was giving Michaels the stinkeye when he came out.
  6. The WWE gave him a wonderful sendoff. If you weren't slightly choked up there, you must be dead inside.
  7. It really is the end of an era. I never thought I would see the day that Flair would actually retire.
  8. Yes! Steamboat!
  9. Thank goodness kayfabe is being tossed out the window right now.
  10. This is going to be hard for Flair. If JR doesn't get choked up I will be shocked.
  11. I liked the way they booked the finish to the match. Santino insults all the Divas, they get pissed and beat him down. Simple way to blow off the feud.
  12. I think I heard a small contingent of the crowd chant "Kill him Showster!"
  13. Could always be the start of a feud, if they play it right... Makes since to me. They need to start building matches for Backlash which is 3-4 weeks away.
  14. I like that the WWE is using old NWA footage to show Flair's greatest moments. Very classy.
  15. Nice little match right there.
  16. I'd mark for Vader coming out to mentioning that even he couldn't make Flair retire at Starcade 93 and that his career would go on for 15 more years.
  17. Cryme Time!?! What the heck is going on? Also, kudos to the WWE for remembering that Orton took out Hardy a couple months ago.
  18. Matt Hardy??
  19. Orton screws with the fans. I love it.
  20. I was drawn to Ric Flair when I first started watching wrestling in 1993 when I started using him on the old SNES Royal Rumble game. He could always entertain me no matter what was going on. Ric Flair, thanks for everything you did for the business. -What's your favorite Flair match? Geez, this is a tough one. I suppose it would be the Clash of the Champions 2/3 falls match with Steamboat. I have never seen a match tell a story like that one was able to. When people don't believe me when I say that Pro Wrestling is a form of theatre, I show them this match. A close second would be Funk/Flair "I Quit" -Is he overrated/underrated relative to his 80s and 90s peers? I would say no on the 80's and yes on the 90's. Even in the 90s he could still work a very decent match. -Do the 21 (16?) world title wins mean anything to you? What it proves to me is that the promoters still had faith in him to deliver. It shows that even though he was up there in age he could still be seen as reliable. -Did he hang on too long? As much as it pains me to say so I say yes.
  21. Glad to see that I wasn't the only person that liked seeing Hornswaggle get nailed on the outside by the trashcan.
  22. My top 5 in my opinion Major League Hoosiers Raging Bull Field of Dreams Glory Road Honorable mentions: 61*, 8 Men Out, and Ladybugs (Just kidding on Ladybugs).
  23. I was at the Supreme Court hearing and got to listen to the case for about 5 minutes. The Dellinger basically got owned, and Scallia basically mocked him during the hearing telling him to answer yes to one of the questions.
