The Go! team have a new album coming out. Also, good to see B. Brian Brunzell has returned.

    Welcome back, Leena.

She had a big nose, and big knockers. She never showed them, and people who actually thought she would are suckers.

Rob Zombie to direct next Halloween movie

Yes, it's in there unfortunately. We did get some nice trailers though. The Mist looks good, Hitman seems watchable, and 30 Days of Night looks great. Yep, that pretty much sums up my feelings exactly. Serioulsy Rob, what the fuck? Also, one of the reasons I wish Grindhouse did better is because I wanted a Werewolf Women of the SS movie to be made after I saw it. Too bad really, as that would have been a riot. At least The Haunted World of El Superbeasto is supposed to be a comedy, and as I already said, I'd love to see Rob do a campy horror/comedy instead of something like the Halloween remake.

Rob Zombie to direct next Halloween movie

The more I think about it, the "Halloween" remake becomes less 50/50 and more "man, what a disaster." It's better thanparts 3, 5, 6, and Resurrection, but I now think it's pretty damn bad. I ended up giving it 3/10 on the IMDB. Oh well.

Maybe it's just me, but I would have done it all as a prequal of sorts, with most of it being Michael in incarceration. Meanwhile, Loomis continues to try to understand Michael, only to eventually discover that there really is nothing to understand. Yeah, there can be violence and such, but still, I'd just keep it simple, and end it all with Michael's escape. That's what I would have done.

Rob Zombie to direct next Halloween movie

Well, in better news, it seems like Dimension will be releasing a movie Rob's been working on called "The Haunted World of El Superbeasto." All I know is that it's an animated movie (done by Spongebob creator Stephen Hillenberg) about a luchador who battles various evil villains. This actually sounds like the kind of movie Rob might be good at, since I always saw him doing a campy horror/comedy.

Rob Zombie to direct next Halloween movie

Yes, they use it. I don't know, the movie is just the biggest disappointment of the year for me. It's pretty much just a wasted opportunity, with several "give me a break" moments. Here's the thing: when you try to humanize Michael, and you give him more of a backstory, he just isn't scary anymore. He isn't the boogeyman-like force of evil anymore. He just becomes another serial killer. That's not what Michael Myers is. Also, other than Michael's mom (who really didn't need to be a stripper) and at times Laurie, you don't care about anyone in this. You don't care what happens to Laurie's friends, her adopted parents, and eventually, even Michael himself.

    Return to the mall

Sunday was interesting, as I returned to the mall. Was it a fun experience? Unlike last time, I saw no Juggalos. I even found t-shirts I wanted (all horror movie related). The guy working at the store though, hoo-boy. He was a loud talker. I mean a really loud talker. I was practically worried he was going to skin me alive, the way he went on about horror movies and whatnot, practically seeming like he was about to come out of his skin. In short, he scared the shit out of me. Oh, and the guy he was working with him looked like a chick. Also, the music they played in there sucked. I thought of going into the Hot Topic for a laugh, but changed my mind. I already went to one store for shirts (called Cosmic or some bullshit) so I didn't want to suffer. I did go to the bookstore there (Waldens, which sure as hell ain't Borders) and got John Skipp's book "The Long Last Call." It's a good, quick read, with interesting characters, as well as a great introduction by Brian Keene. All this out of the way, it would be nice if the people working at the mall knew where certain places were. Come on, they work there at the mall, and they don't know where the mall's book store is? Also, why do bookstores all the sudden have to be flooded with Anime merchandise? I go there to get a horror or sci-fi novel, or a magazine, not to have Inuyasha (no, not CronoT's attempt at being a master of disguise) look at me. I then went to FYE, then left. In case the music industry is wondering "why aren't people buying CD's like they used to?", it probably has to do with the fact that CD's cost $19.99. I'm not paying that much for a Neurosis CD, no matter how much I like the band. That's too fucking expensive. So yeah, that's my return to the mall in a nutshell.

Rob Zombie to direct next Halloween movie

    Just saw it. Well, I can't say I hated it, but I didn't really like it either. Here's my thoughts. Oh yeah, spoiler alert BTW. THE GOOD - - - - - - - - - THE BAD - - - - - - - - - So yeah, I'm 50/50 on it.

Rob Zombie to direct next Halloween movie

That's mostly because the other two studios (Universal and Warner Bros.) thought HOTC was too graphic for most audiences, or something like that, which is funny, because compared to say, Hostel II or Devil's Rejects, it's almost tame. Granted, this was before the horror movies became major box office. Anyways, Rob's been asked to do two more movies for the Weinsteins after this one. Again, I'm going to a preview screening tonight, so I'll let you guys know what I think of it tomorrow.

Kid 606 is pretty aweosme, especially Kill Sound Before Sound Kills You and The Soccergirl EP. He's also supposed to have anew album out this year. If we're talking MBM, get Subliminal Sandwich, especially the 2-disc version. It's excellent. Also, I recommend Venetian Snares.

I like Exit Planet Dust, Dig Your Own Hole, and Surrender, while Come with Us has it's moments. Underworld is much better though. Dubnobasswithmyheadman is one of my favorite albums of the 90's. Also, Meat beat Manifesto is great (he's supposed to have a new album out this year), and I love Fluke's Risotto album. The only Crystal Method album I like is Vegas, though Tweekend has it's moments (and Name of the Game has such an awesome video.)

Speaking of good dance/techno albums, Cross by Justice is pretty good. I'll have to check out the new Junior Senior album sometime. I'm sure it's better than the shitty new Chemical Brothers album.

Well, the music video style editing in HOTC didn't help, nor did the cutaway moments.

Rob Zombie to direct next Halloween movie

Well, I think Robs a real love/hate director. HOTC was a huge mess (as it's been mentioned), though Devil's Rejects was a major improvement. Halloween will be a make or break to be sure. I'm seeing it tomorrow at midnight, BTW.

This is why I don't like Religion

You despise me because I am religious. You are the kind of person who is prejudice just because of someones beliefs. The same reason you hate religion is because you think it twists our minds away from free thought, because it starts wars and is unaccepting of other people. Yet you are the one in a million extremist who would go to war to prevent the wide spread acceptance of a specific religion. Hypocritical if you ask me. Stop speaking about things you don't understand. And you don't know the bible better then everyone else, you're too conceited to express your oppinions. I wouldn't doubt that you just plain hate religion because other people aren't worshiping you. For fucks sake...
