I'd totally agree, especially when you look not only at the new LCD Soundsystem, but the new one from !!! (I've got to get that one) and groups like Hot Chip and The Rapture (who's Fragments Of... Album is one of 2006's most underrated) Sound of Silver and Myth Takes by !!! are early album of the year contenders for me. After the disappointment of Neon Bible, they are really refreshing. Plus, they are fun, which is what a lot of indie rock had been lacking lately, IMO.

I'm also realy liking Something Great, as well as North American Scum. One of the reasons I like this more than his debut is because it feels more cohesive, and less like a "Spot the influences" album that the debut felt like.

I downloaded it yesterday via torrent, and even I like it. Granted, his previous albums didn't do it for me, but this one seems like he's finally gotten it right. I'm quite impressed, and it's definately a future purchase for me.

-Well, spring break is going on right now. So far, things have been just ok, and some of it has sucked. For one thing, my aunt Mary recently has an aneurysm. Fortunately, she's doing betther, but it still scares me. I always got along with her, and though I'm usually not one to pick favorites, shes definately up there. Also, today was a boring day. How boring? Well, I actually started to watch The Tyra Banks show for some reason. She was talking to a lesbian couple who won't be accepted by one of the girls mother. I was actually rooting for the couple, until I realized that I was watching the fucking Tyra Banks show, and I stopped and started reading horror instead to make sure that I wan't transforming into some kind of pussy. I do hope the mom accepts her daughter though. -I saw 300 yesterday, and loved it. Granted, it may be the most homoerotic movie of the year (even Brokeback Mountain didn't have this much gay imagery), but it's still great. The trailers were ok. The Spiderman 3 was great (Fuck yeah Venom), but The Reaping (the new Dark Castle movie starring Hillary Swank) looks like shit. That reminds me, one of the Biblical Plagues is frogs, yet how is that bad? How are frogs deadly? Ok, so some are poisonous, but still, their frogs. Maybe God was on an off day when it comes to that plague. -Oh yeah, I went to a mall last Saturday. It sucked, because nothing was there. The only place that sold DVD's and music and books has been replaced by a Christian bookstore. I did go to Best Buy however, and got Al Green's Call Me, which is one of the best soul albums ever recorded. Seriously, if you don't already own it, buy it. You won't regret it. -Finally, I'm going to start a list of the 50 worst albums ever recorded. I'm going to ask for help from others, so suggestions from posters would be great.

I've ripped on hippies in the past, but I really think that they are much better than the "anarchists." I wanted to start a thread about the riots caused by anarchists in Copenhagen, but I didn't because I knew Bacon would somehow try to defend them while ignoring the most basic things in the situation (like the fact that they had 2 fucking weeks to move out, but refused to.) He really makes this place nearly unbearable.

You are 24 and still acting like a teenager who complains about the evils in the world because mom and dad make you do chores. What hardships do you have to endure? You don't live in a third world Country. Hell, if you care so much about those in other countries, at least get off your ass, quit complaining on the internet about the issues, and actually do something. As obnoxious as Che Guvera shirt wearing hippies are, I at least have respect that they actually get up and do something besides sitting on their computer chairs telling people about why they think the U.S. is a horrible imperialist nation like you do Bacon. Eh, the only reason to look forward to the HHOE 2 is the fact that the trailer for 28 Weeks Later comes with it. Also, the first trailer for Rob Zombie's (sigh) remake of Halloween is going to be attatched to Grindhouse.

That reminds me, I should start a "worst albums ever recorded" thread, or a countdown of the 50 worst albums on my blog.
