Even in Rupp I'm not sure it would make a difference. It sure didn't help against Kansas. This year the SEC is weak and I really don't have an explanation as to why. There are usually more than two teams from the SEC in the Top 25.

Correction... UNC HAS eaten them alive. I've already said it once in this thread. Kentucky will win out and get an undeserving 1 seed because a high ranked team will meet another high ranked team (like last night) and UK will benefit because one of the teams has to lose. And sorry to let you down, cabbage boy, but I used all my Lousville badmouthing last night. I don't know if you listen to Terry Meiners, but I like to do his "Beasman" character for my girlfriend because it pisses her off. She doesn't seem to get that the character is making fun of both teams.

The answer to my question is six spots. UK and Alabama are still the only SEC teams in the Top 25. I'm a Kentucky fan and I will, for the most part, blindly praise the team, but there is no way in hell they are the fifth best team in the country. They are definitely not better than Wake Forest. This looks to be a repeat of last season where Kentucky just plays consistently enough through the end of the season through a (sadly) average conference while the other top teams pick up a loss or two and UK somehow ends up with a 1 seed. They are in no way the fifth best team.

Favorite TV shows that lasted a season or less

Undergrads, Undeclared and 3-South. I've managed to find all the episodes of Undeclared, including one unaired episode. I wish I could have that luck with 3-South. I've got the first 6 episodes all in RealVideo format, but that's it. Everytime I find a torrent of it, it has been dead. -
Shit, I forgot about that. You're probably right, then. So how far will a 30-point loss drop Alabama? I would expect a big fall after that.
-
Maybe the Tide's 31-point loss to Florida will bring their fans back down to earth. That was just ugly. I'd like to think Florida will crack the Top 25 this week.

KOTR 1995 and 1999. I don't remember anything being that great about IYH: It's Time. I ordered that one thinking Bret was going to regain the title. Boy was I disappointed. The In Your House in Feb. 1996 was pretty bad, too, if I recall.

Palicos was not gooned. That kind of shit happens. Chuck Hayes received a broken nose a few games back but I don't think he was gooned. Hands flailing about will sometimes result in a finger to the eye. And so the refs made a bad call on Sparks, but the right call was made on Hayes's "block"? One of my best friends is from Alabama, but he's an Auburn fan and as it stands he's just hoping for wins. I've not heard anything from Bama fans. Any SEC fan saying their team will go further than the third round has high expectations. The whole conference is just weak. Flukes are possible, but don't be expecting anything big.

No Ibis? Boooo! Jamie may be a suitable replacement, though. Actually this one looks pretty interesting with the mixed up teams. This past challenge was pretty dull.
-
Yeah, they pissed away a 16-point halftime lead. While on the subject of disappointing conferences, the SEC is down this year. There are typically more than two teams in the Top 25 from the SEC. The conference just doesn't seem that impressive this year.

I'd like to see a PPV come to Kentucky. The last one we had was Judgement Day 2000. If I remember correctly, there was a PPV scheduled for Louisville a year or two ago, but due to some Athletic Commission rule on revenues, it was pulled.
-
Chuck Hayes broke his nose last night. I've not heard if he'll miss any games because of it. I'll suspect they'll fix him up, put a face mask on him and send him on his way. It is my understanding that he's played in every game since he came to UK, so I'd hate for him to miss one his senior year. No kidding.

Kentucky decided to bring their A Game today and whip LSU at Rupp. I wish they would play like that all the time. I don't know what their deal is. Kudos to the Rupp crowd for chanting "Go home, Packer" at the end of the game. I don't know why CBS lets that asshole commentate Kentucky games.

Louisville was getting by on reputation alone for about the last 10 years of Denny Crum's tenure. Cincinnati has been the only real power in that conference since the early 90s. True, but I would like to think they could have won more than two conference tournament titles since 1995, especially in the last four years.

I'm pulling for street smarts, despite my intentions to start a MBA program this year. I think we'll see a few level heads, but I expect the show to have mostly overly stereotypical members of both types. It just makes for good TV that way. The obvious choice to be his apprentice is somebody from the book smarts side because, as you said, Trump has a hard on for education. If the final two come down to books vs. streets, I think he'll pick books even if the street smart candidate performed better. He just seems that petty.

Actually the Philly kids have taken their job pretty seriously without bitching a lot. The SD cast bitched all the time and showed up late a lot. Miami didn't amount to squat. B2NY bitched all the time, save for Mike because "he ruled the pit at the Taproot show". Boston went well, what with Montana serving the kids wine on their field trip. Didn't Chicago have to get two different jobs because some of them couldn't swim? I think Seattle did pretty well with their radio show. I don't really remember Hawaii, NO or Paris. So judging from what I remember, this is the most responsible cast since Seattle, not that it really means anything.

Geez Kentucky looked bad last night. Only 16 points in the first half and they barely beat Ole Miss. After watching that, I'm not that confident that they will win the conference tournament. They are very young and nobody has really stepped up as a leader. Louisville looked good last night, but they were playing the St. Mary's School for the Blind and Limbless so that was expected. Next year should be fun when they have to play good teams in conference play. I can't believe Louisville doesn't have more conference titles than they do. Mike Davis might have a job for one more season after the Hoosiers beat Michigan. Michigan was undefeated in the Big 10 until last night. If they want to keep him on, so be it, as it's only their reputation and history they are shitting on.

Everybody is predicting Roger Federer to defend his Aussie title and I must agree. Nobody is playing better tennis than him. He makes the game look so easy it is sickening. He should have a pretty easy road to the finals. There is a potential quarterfinal match of Federer vs. Agassi, which should be great. I'd like to think Agassi can keep his string of greatness at the Aussie going (his record is an unbelievable 44-4), but this is Federer's to lose. Plus Agassi has a bum hip going into the tournament. I'm predicting Federer vs. Roddick in the final with Federer taking it in straight sets. There is just no stopping him.

Tina and Mark. Arissa was a leader and the guys decided they wanted the girls to have her inabilities for the final mission, so Mark decided to sacrifice himself and the guys threw the mission. Watching them scheme and wink at the camera was pretty funny. I don't know who is going to win it. Logic says guys, but the preview gives me the impression that the girls will be right behind them. I'll stand by logic and say guys win.

That one looks bad, but it isn't the worst card Louisville has ever seen. I was at this one and I the one thing I remember most was meeting Kerry Von Erich before the show started. The card itself was pretty much shit. WWF @ Louisville, KY - Louisville Gardens - May 9, 1991 Texas Tornado fought the Warlord to a double count-out Earthquake defeated Jake Roberts via disqualification The Berzerker defeated Tugboat Sgt. Slaughter defeated Jim Duggan Paul Roma & Hercules defeated the Bushwhackers when Roma pinned Butch IRS defeated Jimmy Snuka The Big Bossman pinned the Mountie

I've got Simpsons Clue, but I've not played it in over a year. Other than that, I'll play any version of Trivial Pursuit, with standard version and Pop Culture DVD being my favorites.

I'd like to say North Carolina vs. Georgia Tech is going to be a good game, but the way UNC has been handling their opponents makes me think it isn't going to be close.

She might have to get a job, but Rachel and Veronica never will. I think this makes challenge number 8 for Veronica.
