Why do you hate ... who you hate?

NCAA: Louisville - That's just how things are. It got even worse when Ricky P. decided to come back to the bluegrass and coach for Little Brother. Duke - 1992. Tennessee - I don't really hate them, I just hate fucking "Rocky Top". Eddie Sutton's team, currently OK State - "Kentucky's Shame" NHL: Detroit - Rivals. It isn't so much hate as it is dislike now, but I still don't mind seeing them lose. MLB: New York Yankees - I hate the players, their owner and their fans.

    Why ya like...

University of Kentucky - I grew up in a family that bleeds blue and that tradition was passed on to me. Colorado Avalanche - Back when I started paying attention to hockey highlights on Sportscenter, I saw that Patrick Roy was the greatest goalie ever so I became a fan. That might be a weak reason, but I was only 15 or 16, so what do you want from me? Nashville Predators - When Nashville got a team, I adopted them as my home team since Nashville is (or was, I'm not sure now) the closest city with an NHL team to me. Louisville Bats - They are the hometown minor leage baseball team and thus I cheer for them. Georgetown Tigers - That is where I went to college, so I cheer for them.

    Road Rules...

Just keep using the same RR people? They pretty much do that anyway. Problem solved, I guess.

    Road Rules...

I've not really watched Road Rules since Islands. I don't know who most of the Road Rulers who show up on the challenges are. But without Road Rules, what will MTV do with out new Challenge contestants?

    A New College Hoops Thread.....

They are 19-3 against Kansas, winning the last three meetings. Big night for top 10 upsets. Pitt and UConn got beat and West Virginia got the shit kicked out of them by Villanova. Kentucky also struggled in beating South Carolina. And Louisville is struggling against Houston right now. In SEC news, Florida's Matt Walsh is going ot be out at least a month with an ankle injury. Losing their leading scorer is going to hurt. Plus SEC fans won't have anybody to heckle when the Gators come to town.

    Real World/Road Rules Challenge

There is a Real World thread somewhere. I assume it died becuase this cast is the most boring bunch since London. Yet for some reason I still watch. As for the Challenge, I think Mole is on the money with his picks for the final three. I still think there is still a slight chance that Coral will snake her way into the final though. Too bad Brad will probably get the boot just because he's a new guy. He's one of my favorites on the guy's team.

    LSU replaces Saban with...

From what I understand, Bobby Petrino didn't decide to stay at Louisville. He was informed he wasen't getting the job and then he released a statement saying he was withdrawing his name from consideration. Most people in Louisville seem to think that his statement was a weak attempt to patch up things with Tom Jurich (AD) and Card fans. After last year's double-secret meeting with Auburn and then talking with LSU despite signing a contract extention and saying he wanted to raise his kids in Louisville, I can understand where the city is less that trusting of Bobby P.

    A White Christmas

I had a white Christmas, which I believe was the first one there has been in about 10 years.

Bullshit tainted win? Palacios didn't get gooned. He got poked in the eye during a rebound attempt. It could have happened to anybody. And what is wrong with relying on Patrick Sparks? I don't think both teams suck dick. Kentucky is typically a late season team. I believe they will have another conference title and a one or two seed come March. I don't know what they'll do in the tournament, but Sweet 16 is probably just out of reach. Louisville should be great. Garcia and Dean are one of the best teams in the country. Barring another CUSA meltdown, they should win the conference. But again, Sweet 16 is probably out of reach.

    Which soda is better?

I went to school in Central Kentucky until 2003 and never had an Ale-8. I finally had one this October. It wasn't bad. Oh, and I voted for Sprite.

I quickly lost the buzz I had during the final three minutes. I was all over the damn floor. I hope my neighbors aren't pissed at me for A) being so loud and B) cheering against their home team. That was a great game. You had the dream sequence finish right there: down by one to your biggest rival on the road. Sparks draws the foul to go to the line for three as time expires. He then makes all three, which makes Louisville have to hit a basket to tie. Game over. It was beautiful. The season is far from over, though, as Kansas comes to Rupp just after the first of the year. That will be a great game. Right now I'm just going to sit and enjoy knocking Louisville back down to Little Brother status.

Those who were calling this year's team a Final Four team were most likely excited by the highly touted freshmen class. Will the be a Final Four team in one to two years? That is much more probable than this year. Hayes may be a leader, but he isn't a senior to build a team around like Erik Daniels and Gerald Fitch were. Azubuike needs to find consistency, as does Sparks. The highly touted freshman class needs to realize that just because they are highly touted doesn't mean opponents are just going to lay down for them. Otis George is slated to return tomorrow, which is definately a boost for the Cards. Plus they will have the best player on the court in Francisco Garcia. I think the big equalizer will be Shagari Alleyne. He is averaging three blocks per game. He is going to make the difference inside. Kentucky's key to success is not having their usual slow start. They also cannot allow Louisville dictate the pace. Those two reasons are why UNC beat UK. They also need to realize that this is Louisville's March Madness. The game means a more to Louisville because they are perceived, no matter what they do, as number two in the state. UK needs to be just as hungry to win.

This Indiscriminate time period in College Hoops

Saturday is the big day for the state of Kentucky. It is the biggest rival game in college basketball: Kentucky vs. Louisville. Usually leading up to the big game, both sides are talking shit. That isn't the case this year. None of my friends or co-workers have been trashing UK and me and the one friend I have in Louisville that isn't a Card fan have kept quiet. Kentucky is nervous because they are young, have lost the last two games, and will be the visiting team. Louisville is nervous because they won't have a few of their players, leaving them short on the bench. This won't be a blowout game for either team. Adding fuel to the fire this year is UK's marketing firm just got a 10-year deal with the state's biggest radio station that gives them priority broadcast when UK and U of L games conflict. It is going to be ugly Saturday and I can't wait.

    OVW

I watch when I can/when I remember. Elijah Burke won the OVW title this past week from Chad Toland. He seems to be pretty popular at the Davis Arena. I did three reviews of OVW TV from this summer. Go here, here, and here for them.

    The O.C.

My girlfriend called it last week after watching the previews. I said that it was too obvious and that I would like to think the writers can come up with something better than that. I guess I was wrong. Next week does look good, though.

Three Film studios snub Sonys Blu-Ray

Disney Backs Blu-Ray Format for Its Movies Now the battle will be interesting. Three studios versus Disney with FOX still on the sidelines. Disney might be big enough to win this for Blu-Ray. Every parent is going to be buying their kid Disney movies. Plus they've got all their different distribution houses and that makes for a big library.

    Real World/Road Rules Challenge

Yes...she's hot. Plus, she just did Playboy. ****NOT WORK SAFE..or something like that**** http://forum.exp0sed.com/viewtopic.php?t=516&start=75 Don't believe you have to sign up to that forum to view (you may have to though, not sure) But even though she just looks...weird as hell, because PLayboy airbrushes chicks to death...she still looks hot in those. Plus..she's nude, so that's a plus. Those pictures look nothing like what she looks like on the shows. I wasn't even sure it was her to begin with until I went to Playboy's website.

    Real World/Road Rules Challenge

Let's dig this one out of the mothballs. The girls team seems less shady with Rachel gone. That was a good move on the new girls part. Granted it pissed off Coral and Veronica, but in the last few shows they have not been the bitches they usually are. Katie got sent home, but that looked like it was partly Ibis's fault. Only one person from their alliance was suppose to be a leader at a time. When Ibis volunteered, it screwed that plan. The guys have this all but in the bag. Steven going on last night about the girls being losers and Sophia getting pissed was pretty funny. He didn't say anything that wasen't true. And while this Challenge has been pretty boring, it is still more interesting than Real World Philly.

Breaking News: Urban Meyer accepts Florida job

Petrino isn't going anywhere. He's sitting pretty for a big money bowl game next year in the Big East. Who is going to compete with them? Plus Jurich pretty much has a green light to throw all the money he wants at Petrino. He's staying put.

This Indiscriminate time period in College Hoops

After UK won their last four meetings, I figured the Tar Heels were due a win. I suspect UK will struggle against any top 10 team. They are too young right now. However, depending on how fast they grow and mature, they will be Final Four quality next year easily. Don't expect Louisville to "beat them down". I'm predicting the closest UK/UofL game in years.

    Apprentice 2

That one was too easy. Ivana had nothing to stand on once Trump starting asking their PM win-loss records. All three of them seemed to know it was coming, too, as they all just were sitting and waiting. Barring any major screw-up, Kelley pretty much has this in the bag. The two girls are useless and while Kevin has been successful as PM, he has more minor screw ups than Kelley.

    Apprentice 2

I definately would have hit that.
  25. How did they handle this on TV? I was going through Graham's site and it looked liked some stuff was taped for air after they lost the belts. Did the footage just get trashed or did the title switch not get mentioned for a while?
