Maybe Kentucky can get thier first win in about 20 years against this shitty Tennessee team. Who am I kidding? They'll find some way to fuck it up.

I didn't see the UK game last night (my class schedule is really messing with my ability to watch UK during the week). Judging from the stats, poor shooting was their problem. They amazingly managed to out rebound Iowa, which means Kentucky is doing something right or Iowa is really, really bad at rebounding. I don't want to be your typical, fanatical Kentucky fan, but this loss does not make me feel good about the season. I'll save my solid prediction of doom and gloom until after I see the outcome of tonight's game.

Let me preface this by saying I did not see the games, only the scores. I want to know what the hell Florida is doing beating Wake Forest and Syracuse. Did they just get lucky? I didn't expect Florida to do shit this year.

I thought this week's show was pretty good. I could have done without the Mark Henfyy squash and the Elijah Burke squash, but other than that, solid show. James vs. Hall kept my interest more than most women's matches do. Punk vs. Albright was very good. I'm interested in where they are going with those tow and Doane. I wondered if they were going to pay tribute to Eddie Guerrero. They made no mention of him at the top of the show. I did notice that Burke had an EG armband. Punk used the Three Amigos on Albright. He also had Eddie written on his tape. Albright had EG on his wristband. They did close the show with a 10 bell salute. I really think they should have done that at the top of the show, but whatever. Kind of weird to go out on that.

I liked the Punk segment a lot. On a side note, is there an actual TV Title belt? I don't think I saw one last night. You are correct insaying there wasn't nearly as much hatred between Jeter and Cappotelli as their last match. The selling was kind of spotty, but I really enjoyed the final few minutes of the match. So what now for Cappotelli? Is the Jeter feud blown off? This is only the third show I've watched in a long time, so I don't really know who would be next in line.

Sims was the star of the Georgetown game. I'm hoping he looks that good all year. I wasn't using those stats to show that even under Pitino, UK didn't crack 70 a few times. I meant that as you are correct. Tubby ball isn't geared towards high scoring. Doing the opposite of Tubby ball with Tubby Smith as head coach has me a little worried this year.
-
I was gonna say something to refute that, but then I looked up the stats. In Pitino's last year, they didn't break seventy 4 times. Last year they didn't break seventy 12 times. Yeah, maybe the faster pace might make for higher scoring games. I can see this strategy backfiring in terms of turnovers, which is not a good thing.

I read the spoilers for tonight's show and for the first time ever, I'm excited about seeing an OVW show. This should be a great one.
-
Who has he pissed off?

UK plays NAIA powerhouse and my alma mater Georgetown College tonight in an exhibition game. If it wasn't for school, I would be at Rupp tonight. Of course, this is only exciting for central Kentucky (mainly Georgeotwn grads).

I've not seen a full episode of OVW in over a year and this show was light years better than what I remembered. Cappotelli/Jeter was just an all out fight. I loved that spot where Cappotelli teased that he was going to forgive Jeter. Good stuff there. This was the first time I've ever seen CM Punk. After his match I became a CM Punk fan. I really like his "I don't respect anybody" gimmick. I might start trying to catch OVW more often.

I can watch that match over and over and it never gets old. Sting vs. Nikita Koloff from Clash 15 - This was the first Clash I watched and I remember Sting getting the shit beat out of him and coming up with a fluke win. It kept Nikita looking like a total badass while sending the fans home happy with a Sting win.

A friend of mine took the LSAT Saturday and told me that it isn't any easier the second time around.
-
I'm pretty sure he did the fire breathing thing at Clash 28 in August 1994.

Justice hit pretty much everything. There is a world of difference between the chapters at big schools versus the ones at small schools. I would strongly suggest not joining one at a larger school. And chapters do vary by school and you will likely be stereotyped both on and off campus. We actually fit our stereotype on campus of being assholes who like to drink beer. I was a Pike at Georgetown and people who are in my MBA program were a little surprised because I don't fit the stereotype of a date rapist (UK) or a tool (U of L).

I took time off between undergrad and grad school. I graduated in May of 2003 and started my first semester of an MBA program this fall. I just had to take the GMAT for that. Let me say that the GMAT pales in comparison to the LSAT. That fucking thing is a bitch. And getting drunk before you call to get your test score doesn't help. It really makes things worse.

Right now it is the Star Wars Theme. Once basketball season rolls around, I'll change it to the UK Fight Song.

That sounds like Rachel Yamagata.
-
Weird Al seems to have bad choices as openers. I saw him last summer and he had some comic who's major bits were making a hook out of his index finger and pretending to be a pirate and doing an impression of somebody on a roller coaster.
-
Rachel Yamagata opening for Ryan Adams was terrible. Every song was prefaced with something to the effect of "This song is about a guy that I gave my heart to and he treated me like shit." Every song. For the better part of an hour. She was one of the worst opening acts I've ever seen.

Roddick was bounced last night. After he was broken in the first set, serving for the set , at 5-3, I knew he was done for. Tim Henman was upset, too. It is hard for me to pick anybody but Federer to win it. Agassi is my sentimental favorite and I'm hoping his back will hold up for one last run. Anybody else watching?
-
Agassi is playing out of his mind and Federer is playing like he's human. This should be tremendous.
-
I made it home in time to catch the match, but I wrote off Agassi after dropping the first set and going down 4-1 in the second. I wish I would have stayed up and watched (though it would have made me worthless at work today). I want Agassi to win this one. He needs to go out like Pete did.
-
Federer dropped a set last night, proving that he is human. I still think he's taking the title, though. I would also love to see Agassi win one last Grand Slam before he retires, but Blake has been playing out of his mind. I've got to give the edge to Blake tonight.
-
I have to miss Agassi/Blake due to class. The winner of that match is going to the finals. Federer has not been playing to the levels we've seen, but I still that the tournament is a formality.
