You can say Lebron gets every call, but Ben Wallace body checked him and it went uncalled after he pulled Z to the court a moment earlier and they called a foul on Z. The previous trip I thought there was a questionable call by the officials to send Anderson Varajeo to the bench. Lebron might get a lot of calls, but the refs did not decide this game. The highlight was after the game D Jones getting smacked in the eye by Varajeo slapping someone five after they won the game. These playoffs have been great. When was the last time so many games have come down to it like this?!

I think the Bulls would be fools to trade Ben Gordon. I think he has Arenas like potential and trading that for a grumpy shoot first point guard like Francis or Marbury and a draft pick (no matter how high it ends up being it is still an unkown commodity) seems foolish.

Don't blame me I voted for "Vanilla Midgets".

ESPN.com reporting now that Houston is leaning towards Mario Williams and have made Williams a better offer than they made Bush. Also, Houston and Bush have not had contact in over 24 hours. Interesting to see if this is leverage or not. Houston as a town was rabid for Vince Young. Will be interesting to see what happens if they pass on Young as well Bush.

I cannot give an opinion of Invisibles but I will take a stab at Y. Right now Y is probably my favorite book right now. Do not bother with the monthly because the way the story is structured you will get no satisfaction. They are getting ready to release the 7th trade in the next couple of months. Mild spoilers to follow..... What makes the book so good is it does a good job of capturing the chaos of a world where all of the sudden every man dies (except for one) at the same time. The world does not get thrown into the stone ages but there are huge setbacks that have to be dealt with. Yorick (the last man) ends up on a "mission" with a goverenment agent and a doctor to try and travel across country to get to her lab and hopefully find out why this has happened. Along the way they run into Amazons, towns where all the women used to be in prison, Israeli Secret Service and religious zealots just to name a few. He stays under a mask most of the time so not many people know what he is. Of course every now and then women find out. Some want to have sex, some want to kill him. Yorick has a girlfriend in Australia. International travel is very difficult so he is struggling with trying to remain faithful and having all of these women throw themselves at him. This is a really broad overview of the comic, I am by no means doing it justice. The first trade is $13.00 and well worth your money.

I did not like the Richardson/Thomas trade (especially after the Rose trade). Q needs someone to feed him the ball, and right now I do not think NY has that. With the glut of shooters I think a garbage man would be a big help right now. He did get rid of Tim Thomas though...

The cap problems are just made worse because Thomas is not capable of making a good trade and seems to be willing to give away most of his draft picks in those trades. When you are not drafting, and cannot make good trades no cap money is a big deal.

Adding Francis is not going to help the Knicks get to the playoffs. The team needs to be blown up and start over again. As the team is constructed now that will take years. Trading the expiring contract of Antonio Davis for Jalen Rose was stupid. Trading the expiring contract of Penny Hardaway as well as a young player with potential (be it Ariza, Frye or Robinson) for another malcontent shoot first point guard is stupid as well. Yes, getting rid of Crawford will help but not enough to justify this deal. Also, keep in mind that whatever salary they are adding will be doubled because the Knicks are far over the luxury tax limit. With Babcock out as GM in Toronto Thomas is the worst GM in the league. Worse that Elgin Baylor. I really like the Darko to Orlando deal for Detroit. They ship off Darko (who was just a terrible pick when you look at what they passed for him) and Arroyo who is not happy (and is probably running out of chances around the league) and get a draft pick that will probably be in the low teens as we as the cap flexibility to shore up their starting rotation for years to come.

Did they leave the Bill Alfonso angle in the Taipei Death Match? If they did that is worth the price of the DVD right there.

I felt that the commentary in Warrior v. Hogan was fantastic at conveying the big match atmosphere as well. Some of Ventura's best color ever IMO. Warrior hits the splash and Ventura starts yelling almost in disbelief: "It's over! It's over! It's over if he can turn him over!" There were so many variables that make this match impossible to duplicate in today's climate (Austin v. Rock at X7 was probably the closest in recent history but that was even a far cry). First of all faces hardly faced one another in 1990. It is not a common occurrence now, but it was almost unheard of back then. Second, Warrior had not had a high profile loss (I am not counting CO or DQ) in a year. Hogan had been even longer. It is almost impossible to replicate that now in an era where jobbers are only used on the internet. Also, little things like the fireworks going off after the match were even a big deal then. Now, if Sean Waltman shows up at the Royal Rumble you can bet he will have enough pyro to singe everyone's eyebrows in the building.

ESPN.com is reporting that the Packers will name Mike McCarthy (49ers Offensive Coordinator) their new head coach.

What about Wally Szczerbiak for Artest? Garnett and Artest could be a scary combo. I know Artest said he would like to play for New York but that is not happening unless Larry feels like he owes Isaiah a favor from the '92 Dream Team snub and takes Q or Jamal Crawford for Artest. I could see Cleveland but only if the Cavs give up Larry Hughes.

I agree with what was said earlier. I think Cena was hurt because he was basically a midcarder until Batista left. If I remember correctly he debuted opening segment and had one backstage segment with Bischoff in the first hour. It did not help he was Chris Jericho's first "Main Event" program in some time. Just before that program there was conversation here that Jericho could never be taken as a ME threat by fans again. His feud with Cena stretched over 2 PPVs with Cena being portrayed as a heavy underdog through much of it. "These are impossible odds how can Cena possibly survive?! Damn that Jericho." Jericho should have been ran over by Cena (especially with Jericho leaving right after). The Jericho program also hurt Cena becuase he was being run in circles on the mic. I do not remember that Jericho's promos were particularly great during this time, but I do remember that Cena's were so bad that you were either rolling you eyes or changing the channel. Also, at the time SD! seemed alot more "gimmicky" than Raw. Triple H and Batista were coming out in suits for their interviews and here comes Cena. With his gimmicky belt, gimmicky wristbands, gimmicky hat, gimmicky shirt, gimmicky hand signs, gimmicky name for fans and his CD. Cena seemed to come from another generation and came off as bush league to me. Edit - Do not forget that Cena's boos could have been edited off of SD!
