If they do get Sapp it will have more to do with Ray Lewis than Jim Fassel. They said on ESPN that Lewis is recruiting Sapp already. Maybe Sapp will start saying that he will break the sack record again.

D'Lo gets fired, Rodney Mack gets hurt, Jazz gets hurt, Mark Henry gets hurt. Maybe there is a Teddy Long curse. Until the Mack gets back there really is nothing to do except managing Jazz (maybe a few Coach segments). Hopefully with this injury Henry will be able to lose some weight. He is not going to set the world on fire with workrate but at a lower weight he is decent.

At least they gave him a 2 or 3 month paid vacation before they cut him loose. I know he got a bad attitude and was too cocky, but I do not think his on screen character ever recovered after Hogan cried and left. (Same for Sean O'Haire and Piper.) They should have put him on television one more time and have Lesnar slap on the Brock Lock and then taken him out on a stretcher. It could have got the Brock Lock over as a career ending move and on Gowen it would have looked even more like a torture device then it already does.

The Bengals up to 74 from dead last the previous season. Thank you Marvin Lews, for lifting our franchise out of the sewer.

If anyone works for MLW I do not think it would really matter. They could probably be snapped up in a second. Tanaka, Credible, Crazy, Balls Mahoney, Corino, Mikey Whipwreck, and CW Anderson I think would all be realistic choices. I do not think that Shane Douglas offers enough anymore, as a worker or on th mic, to overcome the heat he has got. Why does Don Callis have so much heat? I have always heard that he has it, but I do not recall anyone coming up with a concrete reason as to why.

Never heard of this show before, what was it like? WWF events at Nightclubs and other weird locations. It was actually pretty cool until they changed it to just another arena show (but Brian Pillman on commentary was excellent).
-
I honestly think they could do this and it would work. They could run in old ECW areas (in the same arenas even) and they would only have to have TV tapings every 3 or 4 weeks. They would not need to have but a couple big names on the show, because it is not like they have big names on the their night shows now, and they would run the smaller arenas so it would be easier to sell out. They could even get Joey Styles as he has said he is willing to work for the WWE but only on a limited schedule. For the roster I would have Mick Foley or Shane McMahon be the commisioner/GM. Val Venis, Lance Storm, Rob Van Dam, Tommy Dreamer, Rodney Mack (when he is healthy), Stevie Richards, Spike Dudley, Jon Heidenreich (if they are not going to fire him they might as well use him in a hardcore setting where his limitations would be disguised somewhat), Nova, Nick Dinsmore, Kanyon, Hardcore Holly, Sean O'Haire, Zach Gowen (paying him might as well use him), Guido, Palumbo, and Stamboli would be guys they could use on the current roster. Realistically they could bring in guys like Steve Blackman (who says he wants to come back and would do well in the hardcore setting), Danny Doring, Roadkill, Jeff Hardy (they are already talking about bringing him back. Using him in this setting where he could work with props and not have to work as often would be beneficial for both parties.) among others. The biggest problem would be who was booking it. If Vince and crew have their hands all over this one it would be a mess and iIf Shane is booking then Test is Champ. In a perfect world a combo of Foley, Dreamer, and Heyman would probably work out pretty well.

Scott Putski was everything that was wrong with the CW division. He wrestled a total heavyweight style and the only time he ever did any kind of high flying move (plancha from the ring to the floor) he tore up his leg. The WWF's handling of the cruiser division was a huge mess. If they ever gave a class on booking on the fly and how not to do it this would be the study material. Half of the tournament field was composed of guys in for a few shots and Shotgun Saturday Night jobbers. Jerry Lynn was going to be in it but they forgot to tell him and after they had put him in the bracket he had already signed a deal with ECW. They had no desire to spend any kind of money to bring quality guys in. The few quality guys they did bring in were jobbed to heavyweights and killed their credibility. Taka was hot but after a boring feud with Brian Christopher he had no direction for a few months and then a pointless heel turn and the belt was inactive for almost 6 months.

Kane killed Scott Taylor and Brian Christopher ran in and pinned him. Do not bother going out of your way to get these matches. The only thing really good I remember was Taylor used a pretty cool top rope DDT to beat Eric Shelly. Does anybody know whatever happened to Eric Shelly? He was a last minute replacement for Jerry Lynn right?

I just looked all over Amazon and did not find it anywhere. I have been waiting for this for a while, but there is no way I will pay $100 for the DVD. I will hope that by some miracle I see it on Tuesday.

Why all the people rushing to Peyton Manning's defense? He is a good QB but where are the big game wins? He had not even won a playoff game before this year. He looked good in the two previous weeks but he looked awful today. He could have won today and gone a long way towards shedding the choker label.

Has Manning ever won a big game?

Shaq v. Brad Miller - This was when Miller played for the Bulls. Shaq has been getting mugged all game and he finally just loses it. He starts throwing these haymakers, if they would have landed it would have been like Rudy T and Kermit Washington all over again. Bulls players are running all over the place trying to avoid Shaq like he is Juggernaut. Finally Charles Oakley steps in and grabs Shaq and basically saves Brad Millers life. If I was a coach in the NBA there would always be a place on my team for Charles Oakley. Tim Belcher v. Chan Ho Park - I am a little fuzzy on the names so if someone else remembers better than me then by all means correct me. Park was playing for the Dodgers and I want to say that Belcher was playing for the Angels. During interleague Belcher gets hit by Park and charges the mound. Well Park is waiting and unleashes with roundhouse kicks at Belchers head. It looked straight out of a Fu movie. I do not remember if he connected well with any of them though. Belcher whined after the game about Park not fighting fair. EDIT: I am surprised no one has brought up Rudy T. and Kermit Washington. Kermit is at center court involved in some kind of scuffle Rudy T comes running down the court and Kermit unleashes arguably the most devastating punch in the history of sports. It ends Rudy T's playing career, and blackballs Kermit from the league. He still cannot get a job, and Rudy has helped him out. If I remember correctly Rudy almost lost his eye and suffered from headaches for a long period of time. The bruise/welt, or whatever it was on Rudy's face was huge.

4th and 26, I almost turned the TV off right there. At that point I was cursing myself for not going with Carolina.

I agree that Spurrier can have almost any college job he wants. I guarantee Nebraska has called him already. The way I look at it, this was like Spurrier's first year at Washington since he basically had to start over after last years Florida experiment. I do not know if an NFL team will take a chance on him as a head coach, but an O Coordinator job would be his without too much trouble.

Well, the Bengals blew that one. A good season but we blew too many games to be a playoff team. We should have won against Oakland, Pittsburgh (1st game), Buffalo, Arizona, and Cleveland today (we just got whooped by Denver, Baltimore, and St. Louis). Now the big question is when will Carson Palmer play?
-
The Bengals are playing this game just like they played the Arizona game. We are so close to being a good team, yet so far.
-
And Kitna makes a stupid, stupid, stupid mistake. The Bengals go to the half empty handed on the last drive. Kitna had his backup RB so wide open in the endzone he had no one around him for 5 - 7 yards. These refs have been making some awful calls too.

I do not know what was wrong with this picture: The movie was overrated.
-
I just watched it. The plane is brought down by the American Liberation Army (or some name similar).
-
I am surprised that no one has brought this beast up. Pictures cannot do it justice. They look 5 times worse when they are playing in them.
-
They should take a chance on Cael Sanderson. If he worked out I think he could go a long way towards elevating the CW division in the eyes of the Office and fans.

Bengals with the ball first in the second half. The third quarter has been our worst quarter all year. We need to buck that trend.
