Rise and Fall of the World Bodybuilding Federation
MDH257 replied to EdwardKnoxII's topic in General Wrestling
From an On Field persepective, Vince's biggest mistake was not having a real preseason. I think they did one or two practice games, but the purpose of those was for the televison production to have a test run. The play had gotten better by week four or five, but it was too late. -

After Season's 6 & 7, all three final teams were on The Early Show the next morning. This time it was just the Linz family. I was hoping the Weavers would be on to see if somebody would call them out on their hypocracy. -
He left WWF in the Fall of 1990 in a contract dispute. He was scheduled to Main Event a House show run against the Ultimate Warrior, but couldn't due to an injury. WWF advertised him as wrestling at those shows anyway (even thought they knew he wasn't). Rude felt that since his name helped draw the house, he should get paid as if he was there. WWF disagreed. I'm guessing he went to WCW as soon as it was legally safe to.

All the Media Play stores here closed about 8 or 9 years ago and I still miss them.

Both are great. In Traffic there were more people you could identfiy as "good guys" while in Syriana everyone is pretty much corrupt. Right Now, I'd say Traffic is better. But, that's cause I think Syriana needs some more time to put it in perspective. BTW, does anyone have any ideas on why Clooney's character

I thought both Bulldogs were his brother & laws. I know for certain that Dynamite was never married to a Hart daughter. If the guy that was Brakkus for about 10 minutes in '98 WWF is/was a Hart in-law, that's news to me.

Actually, he wrote that the last he heard was that Benoit resigned with WWE and is asking if anyone is saying otherwise.

I think his name is B.J. Anis, he's Teddy Hart's father (who's real last name is also Anis). He may be the one who had another son who got sick and died suddenly (Bret mentioned him in his '96 WWF comeback promo).

Bob, what was the previous SNL Digital Film?

I remember wondering why they didn't wait a week because Jimmy Fallon played Miller, but the next week Dana Carvey was hosting and he does a great impression of DM.

I wouldn't use it for serious research, but I've found it useful in finding out basic info on certain things.

The programming guide on my cable box claims that tonight's episode ends 4 minutes past the hour. You might want to check if your taping the show.

What exactly does "The Hunting Party" give away?

Another update 2.9 - What Kate Did (Kate IV) airdate: 11/30/2005 apparently this is the last new show until January. 2.10 - The 23rd Psalm (Mr. Eko) airdate: 1/11/2006 This is being reported by Televison Without Pity as AICN's Hercules has for weeks been claiming that he's been forbidden by his sources to say who the flashback would be about. 2.11 - The Hunting Party (Jack V) 2.12 - Fire + Water (Charlie III)

Its been canceled. Production is shutting down after 13 episodes. I think Chyler Leigh is hot. But from what I saw of the show, it was too formulaic.

I don't mind the uberleg if it's a two hour episode, but I hate when they pull that cliffhanger bullshit. -
I remember Meltzer recaping Brian Adams' Nitro debut in the Observer. (It was during an in ring interview with Mean Gene) Gene introduced Brian Adams as WCW's latest signing. The crowd didn't care since they didn't know who he was (and if they had known, they'd of cared even less).

1.) Yes 2.) I generally see any movie that interests me.

I think showing the monologue about maps was supposed to illustrate "SNL's continuing journey"

I think using musical performances from the show to illustrate points was better in the last doc. At least then when they were only dealing with 5 years the music seemed to have some timely connection. Here it was a little weird to see them talking about '82 or '83 and then seeing performances that were clearly from '88 or '89. I thought the show was really good though. Hope it's longer on DVD.
