Your 3 new Inductees into the WON Hall of Fame...
MDH257 replied to Dangerous A's topic in General Wrestling
I thought Steph's worst enemies were reason, logic, and what's best for business. -
AICN's Hercules reported the following: Here's season 2 so far 2.1 - Man of Science, Man of Faith (Jack IV) 2.2 - Adrift (flashback will center on one of the raft crew: either Sawyer, Michael or Jin.) 2.3 - Orientation (Locke III) 2.4 - Hurley II

I think Bigelow was the highest name guy they were willing to have job to LT. In exchange, Bigelow was promised a bigger push when he turned face. But I think teaming with Deasel at KOTR was as big as it got.

HHH being inducted now is like if Bischoff had been inducted back in '98. -

They basically went with the real story. They announced on tv that Shawn had walked out on the company and the tag titles were being held up. A tournament would be held and the winners would face Austin & the partner of his choice to decide the new champions.

Well, Flo certainly disproved the "quitters never win" theory. Season 4 starts tonight.

Donino Harvey, the real woman this movie is based on, died in June. It sounds like her real life was a lot more interesting than this movie ever had any intention of portraying. The studio coudn't decide when to release the movie. It was first scheduled for August, then moved to October. Days after she died, they announced it was back to August. This drew criticism because some said the studio was trying to get some extra publicity from her death. Last I heard, they changed their mind again and it's coming out in November. New Lines excuse was that Keira has another movie (Jane Austin costume drama Pride & Prejudice) that is also constantly getting moved around on the schedule and they don't want the movies released around the same time.

4 episodes, 5 hours. Invasion Iowa Episode Guide I think Spike gave up on it. It was supposed to air weekly like Joe Schmo, but Spike told them to edit it down and instead of 8-10 hours, they showed 5 hours and aired it all in one week.

The reason Savage hasn't come back yet is because anytime WWE shows interests, he asks for way too much money and won't come down on his price.

King Tonga was Haku. The Tonga Kid was Tama, Haku's partner in The Islanders.

It's supposed to be the counterpoint to what he did. Just as what he did wasn't realistic in the sense that no one would go to McDonald's and eat that much crap three times a day every day. No one would bother checking the McD's nutritonal value info sheet to see what was healhty because anyone that concerned about what they eat wouldn't be going to McDonalds anyway.

I would imagine their salads are healthy. As long as you don't add dressing. Actually, one of his ground rules was that he would only supersize when the person taking his order asked him if he wanted to (i.e. "Would you like to supersize that?"). I was suprised because at the end of the movie it says that he was only asked 9 times (out of an presumed 90 meals at McDonalds). I would have figured it would have been a lot more.

Season 2 ended last night. Boy am I glad Tara & Wil didn't win. Season 3 starts tonight if anyone cares.

I'm not a big fan when they take fullscreen and make them widescreen. However, if this means they are going to film the new episodes in widescreen, then this makes me happy. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> All episodes of LOST in season 1 were in widescreen. Infact all US Drama's broadcast last year were in widescreen. The show was never filmed in the 4:3 aspect ratio. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> In fact J.J. Abrams asked ABC to air the show in widescreen to everyone (like ER, West Wing, The Sopranos). But ABC insisted on airing it fullframe on non HD stations.

Shamrock wanted one last MMA run as he was pushing 40 and felt he needed to do it then. Meltzer said Ken figured he give his MMA comback 2 years or so, then go back to WWF/E. But, he's still at it.

AICN's Hercules has gotten a hold of a copy of the first season DVD set. Some details may change (I'm hoping for one inparticular) but here's the breakdown: I was actually hoping that Claire and Sayid's airport flashbacks would be incorporated back into "Exodus".

Tom Snyder seemed to be grooming Jon Stewart to replace him (Stewart guest hosted for Snyder and was the only person to do so). When Snyder stepped down CBS had a chance to have Jon Stewart and choose Craig Kilborn instead. When Jon was announced as Kilborn's replacement he even mentioned the irony of his replacing Kilborn after Craig got the job Jon was seemingly being prepared for.

I'm guessing there's a lot of hate for Team Guido out there. Since no one else here seems to be watching the reruns, I haven't been able to get a read on how anyone else felt. What I'm saying is that I just felt that leaving Team Guido in Alaska kind made things feel incomplete at the end since not everyone was there at the finish line in N.Y. and farewell wave to the camera. Not to say I was rooting for them. I'm just guessing they were unpopular since they were so cocky, everything seemed to be going there way for a while, and the stunt they pulled at the airport. Though I think it's funny that a lot of people would hate them for that, but would've thought it was great if Rob & Amber had done it. I couldn't believe how lucky they were when they got saved by Nancy & Emily's time penalty (especially because I thought Emily was hot and wanted her to stay in the race). I was dumbfounded as to why Nancy & Emily didn't just go take the bus.

Season One ended last night. For a team that was playting as well as Team Guido, it's almost unimaginalbe how they could make the mistake of sitting on their fast forward lead like they did. Seeing what happens when a team gets so far behind made realize that it's a good thing they arrang it so a wait at an airport or an business to open can even the taems up again. Things seemed incomplete for everyone to be at the finish line in NY, while Team Guido was left in Alaska and never got to cross the finish line. Season 2 starts tonight if anyone cares. BTW here's something I found about season 8.

Guess who was on Iron Chef America? BILL MURRAY! Last night they reran the new episode from Sunday and Bill Murray was in the audience. The show was Kat Cora vs. Cary Simon, Theme Incrediant: Hamburger meat. They showed Bill in the audience several times, they went up and asked him what he thought of the matchup and he started impersonating how they dub the judges on the original: "This is going to be tough for Cary Simon. Iron Chef Cora has the strength of an Emperor's daughter and the soul of a pixie, but... I think he'll pull it out." They're reruning it on Saturday at 7, 11, and 3a.m. e.s.t.

There's actually a commentary on the Speed DVD by Graham Yost (the writer) and Mark Gordon (the producer) that's a wonderful example of both as they talk about the movie, but also have fun laughing at some of the more implausible parts.

Ebert did a commentary for the second movie on a Criterion double feature: A Story of Floating Weeds (1934) / Floating Weeds (1959) - Criterion Collection
