Yes, it's from The Wrestling Classic. On The Wrestling Classic Home Video there is an introduction from Vince welcoming the fans to the event and saying that this is the first in a series of Wrestlevision events. Meltzer mentioned that Vince had the idea to do monthly ppv's back in Nov. '85. But when The Wrestling Classic didn't do too well, he abandoned the idea.

I've heard Jeff Probst say that there are only two rules on Survivor: 1.) You can't physically attack one of the other players. 2.) You can't conspire to split the money. By getting engaged before the winner was announced weren't Rob and Amber in a sense conspiring to split the money since they were both going to end up with the money no matter who won?

They were tag team champions in late 91 so they never left. If you're asking why did they leave after they lost the belts to Money Inc and then returned at WrestleMania VIII, I don't think they were officially ever off the roster. The WWF had started steroid testing and one of the LOD (I think it was Hawk) failed and got suspended for six weeks.

Here's some news. Lost's hiatus has been cut by two weeks and the show will return on March 30. Here's a TV Guide style preview of the upcoming episodes. 1.19: Deux Ex Machina (Locke II) Airdate: March 30, 2005 Locke begins to suffer physical difficulties as he and Boone try to find a way into the hatch; Jack is reluctant to offer assistance when Sawyer begins to experience excruciating headaches. In this episode we learn how Locke was paralyzed, interrelating with the events around the hatch. 1.20: Do No Harm (Jack III) Airdate: April 6, 2005 Claire goes into labor while a helpless Charlie goes into panic mode. Meanwhile Locke is missing, Jack tends to a wounded survivor and Sayid presents Shannon with a romantic surprise. 1.21: The Greater Good (Sayid II) Airdate: April 20, 2005 This episode was called "Sides", but they've changed it. 1.22: Born to Run (Kate III) Airdate: April 27, 2005 That leaves us with 1.23: ??? Airdate: May 4, 2005 (???) 1.24: ??? Airdate: May 11, 2005 (???) The Hollywood Reporter says that these last two episodes will be a two part saeson finale. 1.24 will be 90 minutes with the last half hour being commercial free.

I always hated the Baby Dinosaur from Dinosaurs.

WM 2000, they throw away the HHH-Rock match they had been building toward because the McMahons wanted to be able to say "remember the year we main evented Wrestlemania", bring Mick Foley out of retirement after only a month so he can job to HHH again, and the big finish is the almighty HHH coming out on top again and Vince turning heel for the tenth time. Backlash 2000 a couple of weeks later was everything Wrestlemania should have been.

The movie was okay, but I was really dissapointed. I wasn't expecting it to be as good as Get Shorty, but I was hoping it would at least match the tone. I think the biggest mistake was not bringing back Scott Frank as screenwriter and Barry Sonnenfeld as director.

This is a press release from last September:
-
Satalite News revealed that they won't be riffing the entire episode, just appearing in some segments.

Satellite News has the news:

This is from Roger Ebert's Movie Answer Man Column: I'm assuming that means the fight was ruled a no contest.

These are two articles from the AP and USA Today that I thought everyone might enjoy.
-
USA Today's TV Critic acted like he had seen the first episode and said that Rob and Amber's "celebrity" led to strangers being more willing to help them out than the other teams. Man, I hope they get eliminated quickly.

I love Pulp Fiction, but I'd consider Satuday Night Fever or Grease to be Travolta's signature movie. Jean Reno - Leon: The Professional

I know he never got pinned on televison until the Ludvig Borga match. There's a match on a CV vs Ric Flair that ends in a double countout and the announcers say that since he didn't get pinned, the streak continues.

If he's wearing paint, it's Muta. If he's not, it's Mutoh

It's going to be the first time I've ever watched CSI. Gotta admit, I've always admired how William Peterson and Marg Helgenberg have never been afraid to talk about how much the spinoffs piss them off.

Hey, Fox already moved the Wed. American Idol back an hour to get out of Lost's way. I'd like to see if Lost could take Survivor. The real reason for the layoffs is because if they just ran new episodes, they would run out before May.

I think there's another Ron Pearlman who's the head of a cosmetics company and used to be married to Ellen Barkin.

The Writer's Guild Awards were last night, and the winners were... Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind and Sideways

They announced the nomminees for the Directors Guild Awards (The Hollywood Union for Directors). They've been giving this out for 56 years and the winner has gone on to win Best Director at the Oscars 50 times. The nomminees are: Clint Eastwood - Milloin Dollar Baby Marc Forster - Finding Neverland Taylor Hackford - Ray Alexader Payne - Sideways Martin Scorsese - The Aviator Usually it's safe bet that four of the five will get best director Oscar nods. I'm certain about Eastwood, Scorsese, and Payne. I'm not sure about the other two. Their best shot is for one to get a best picture nod and have the director go along for the ride. I think Finding Neverland has a better shot at that than Ray.

For those interested, here are some TV Guide-style previews of the next two episodes. Jin & Sun II 1.17 ...In Translation airdate: Feb-23-2005 When the raft the survivors have been building mysteriously burns down, Michael is convinced that Jin is responsible for the sabotage, which only further escalates their rivalry. Meanwhile, Sun stuns her fellow survivors with a surprising revelation, and Boone gives Sayid a warning about Shannon. Hurley 1.18 Numbers airdate: Mar-2-2005 When Hurley becomes obsessed with the French woman and heads into the jungle to find her, Jack, Sayid and Charlie have no choice but to follow. Meanwhile, Locke asks Claire to help build a mysterious item. Hurley has a flashback of a huge life-altering experience before coming on the plane, the number-one thing Americans dream about, but that it ended up being the worst thing that could have happened because the experience was cursed. It hurt everyone he loved--and that curse is tied to the island. Plus, Boone and Locke continue their work on the hatch. After this Lost goes into reruns for another 6 weeks and this might feel like the longest hiatus yet. Locke II 1.19 Deux Ex Machina airdate: Apr-13-2005 Jack III 1.20 Do No Harm airdate: Apr-20-2005 Sayid II 1.21 Sides airdate: Apr-27-2005 1.22: Kate III 1.23: ? 1.24: ?

I think at the taping the match went an hour and they just cut it down. I not sure what the legit time was, maybe they announced it as 30 or 45 minute time limit to the fans in the arena.

If Lost goes on for several more seasons. Does anyone else wonder how they'll deal with the timeline of the show not corrisponding to how fast the kid that plays Walt is growing? I mean if it's the 3rd season and they've been on the island for 6 months, but the kid is obviously two years older, taller, and has a different voice. Are they just going to say that the island is accelerating puberty? Not a big deal, but the comment about Hurley's weight got me thinking.

I remember Mick Foley talked about how the ECW fans acted like they hated the WWF in '95 and '96 for being a cartoon. But if the Undertaker ever showed up at ECW Arena, the fans would have marked out like it was the greatest day of their lives.
