Um, Bob... If your gonna make two refrences to how awesome the dress rehersal opening to the Julia Louis Dreyfus was, would you mind letting us in on what it was about?

Greatest WWF Matches of the 90's Tourney

Because I felt like it. It's been awhile since I've seen either match and I always liked Hell in the cell better. For some reason, there are a lot of classic rivalries where I seem to perfer a different match frm the majority. For example, I've always thought the Survivor Series match was better than WM 13, I like the Flair-Steamboat match from Chi Towm Rumble better than the Nashville match, and I thought the Bret-Owen Sumerslam Cage match was better than WM 10. This vote is ovviously gonna be a landslide, it's not like I'm the deciding vote. -

At the time HHH got injured, there weren't any plans for an Invasion. WWF was still working under the assumption that WCW would be its own separate entity. Part of the reason they hotshotted the Invasion angle was due to losing HHH for the year and messing up all their plans. He was supposed to turn face and challenge Austin through the summer. If I recall correctly, the reason he joined up with Austin the night after WM 17 is because he didn't want to turn face and feud with him.

They should have made the whole movie about George Reeves instead of the detective.

Concerning the deleted scenes: How do they shed light on why Jim wasn't at Pam's art show? I had figured he knew about it, but didn't go because it would just cause him unneeded problems with Karen. If he didn't know, then why would Pam tell Kelly about the show but not Jim? All the deleted scenes shed light on is that Karen still not comfortable about Pam and Jim's past history. All we saw was that Karen almost took the flyer down, but didn't. If Jim didn't go because Karen hid the news from him, that would mean Pam didn't tell him which (as I mentioned) dosen't make sense. Am I missing something?

I have to concur with the "overated" sentiment. The movie was decent, but definately dosen't live up to the "this movie/performance is gonna rock your world" kind of hype that its recieved.

He didn't direct Celtic Pride either.

I love Jesse's line. "I don't think that man's a legal official." "How can he not be an official, he just did the match?"

I think you just answered your own question. Wasn't this essentially what happened 2 years ago with Cena and Batista accidentally going over the top and screwing up the planned finish of the match? I don't remember hearing that. My recollection was that the restart was supposed last for a few minutes, but they were running so long on time that Batista just desrtoyed Cena and threw him out after about 30 seconds. I also recall the story going around that there was problems with the ending, but most reports I heard were of the "it only went 30 seconds" variety. I later read in a book (World Wrestling Insanity, I think, and I assume the author whose name I am forgetting was reading some sort of newsletter) that the double elimination was not supposed to happen, which is why Vince stormed out there in a huff and tore his quads. Meltzer recaped past Rumbles in this weeks Observer and said that Batista screwed up in 2005, lost his balance, and fell out when he wasn't supposed to. So spman had it right.

I'm betting they'll both be about an hour long. In between there's going to be fake trailers for more "Grindhouse" type movies.

There was a match on SNME where Demolition got disqualifed that led to the 2/3 falls match. Arn & Tully defended the titles against them at MSG and it was broadcast on MSG network, I think in Sept. '89.

Chi-Town Rumble '89. Flair and Steamboat are on the floor and Flair delivers a chop that sounds like a bulllet. Everyone in the front row, including Dave Meltzer, reacts like the chop hurt just to watch it and J.R. screams: "My God, you gotta be here to feel this!"

R.I.P. Another thing that sucks is that he was the only actor from Raymond that didn't win an Emmy for it.

I've always loved the Williams & Gordy theme from their '92 WCW run and Terry Funk's Once Upon a Time in the West music from '89.

According to IMDB, they asked him and he turned them down. Although IMDB is hardly a definitive source.

She hasn't exactly been too busy since she won that Oscar. She didn't win the Oscar for that, she's actually never won. I found it strange the media danced around saying it while covering the Mel Gibson incident, but NBC let Chevy Chase say it on Law & Order.

BTW, can somebody explain what "Civil War: I'm with ..." is all about?
