I miss the original blonde Molly and her pigtails. Amy Weber had far more going for her than just T&A. She had some personality and none of the wooden delivery a lot of the other women (and men!) suffer from. I don't miss him terribly but I thought Maven was a no-brainer choice for a solid midcard heel. His smug character might have worked well if he'd been booked strong enough for fans to really yell for somebody to kick his ass.

I had a horror movie type dream the other day involving a bunch of Batman baddies. Catwoman and The Joker were definately there but that's just about all I can recall.

I didn't know about any of that personal stuff, I guessed there had to be a little more to it considering what a hyped up player he was a couple of years ago. I also thought he was a year or two older as well. I came across anti-Semitism in Dutch football reading Simon Kuper's 'Ajax, The Dutch, The War' earlier this year so that part didn't totally shock me

No real surprises in Asia then. Saudi Arabia always seem to qualify. Why didn't a load of top sides go in for Van Der Vaart this summer? I've heard vague things about a dodgy op putting question marks over him but even if that's true I can't believe no better option than Hamburg came along to take a gamble when he's good enough to play for any top side in England, Spain or Italy. He's currently taking on Bayern Munich single handedly in Germany and is the best midfielder in Europe on current form. And he helped put England into the world cup on saturday.

World Cup Qualifiers - Think these are all right. Few surprises in Africa. Argentina Brazil Paraguay Ecuador USA Mexico Costa Rica Croatia Poland England Italy Ukraine Portugal Holland Ivory Coast Ghana Togo Angola Tunisia

It could be worse.....at least you don't own a Blood Brothers album.

Bloodsucking Freaks I've only been watching 10 minutes but already a woman has had her bottom spanked and head chopped off in a guilotine and another has her feet sawn off by a chainsaw carrying dwarf. Being a troma effort it's amateurish execution of things dilutes it a bit but it's still fucked up. Stumbling on this while flicking has been a real 'what the FUCK is this????' type moment. Bizzare stuff.

You'll find the definitive Whigs album list in the pinned top 5 thread. Well, at least my definitive list.

'Dead Of Winter' by Eels is pretty bleak but the two songs that end the album after it offer a ray of light at the end of the tunnel. Moonshiner. I like Uncle Tupelo's version the best.

That's weird. I nearly posted 'Something Else' in this thread the other day and was going to pick the exact same songs. I know it's not a truly great Beatles song by any stretch but I still like The Long and Winding Road.

What do you do when you get mad at a video game?
Anorak replied to Epic Reine's topic in Video Games
I yell and shout like a five year old normally. These days I get up and stretch my legs for a minute, go downstairs and get a drink for a minute or whatever. I once chucked one of my friend's pads across his living room. -
I've not played a demo yet, only read a preview in a magazine. Not having to see your keeper watch a soft shot dribble in the corner of the net will be nice. Even on level 6 it's too easy to beat players on PES 5 so that's a good change. The shooting is supposed to be a bit different as well.
-
I'll probably get that but i'm more exited about the new Pro Evolution game. A 15 year old played for us last night against Blackpool.

Saw a preview of this in a magazine and i'm definately going to see it. Not sure when it comes out in the UK but it's meant to be sooner rather than later this winter hopefully. I know the basic plot but i'll be avoiding spoilers here or anywhere else until I finally see it.

Ron Sexsmith & Don Kerr - Destination Unknown Shearwater - Winged Life Richard Hawley - Cole's Corner Devin Davies - Lonely People Of The World, Unite!

It's a decent album but a long way from their best.
-
I've liked about 3 Sum 41 songs. Does that qualify or do I have to buy an album?

Our defence couldn't stop Michael Ricketts. Well, he is an former international I suppose.
-
I do exactly the same sometimes. Like I said a while back in this thread the womens u-19 Euro's on Eurosport was quality! I'm not watching Chelsea either but there's plenty of others to choose from. Betis v Liverpool or Lyon v Real Madrid etc.

I can't see anybody stopping him anytime soon. He's got Hewitt's and Roddick's number and Safin is too injury-prone and unpredictable. Nadal will get even better but at the moment you would only fancy him on clay against Federer as he proved earlier in the year. Gasquet has the natural talent and game to be a rival but the Ginepri match showed he's not the athlete these other names are yet.

I traded in my season ticket to play myself this season (not half as many morning kick offs this year) but my backs playing up already. I bet there's 50 year olds still playing who need less recovery time than me. I'll see how it goes. It's easy to overdose on footy with SKY. Best idea is to skip the conference games and the likes of Bolton/Blackburn (games which have a 90% chance of being dull) and save up the anticipation for something worthwhile like the Champions League.
