That whole album is great from start to finish. I remember picking up Dear 23 for about £5 years and years ago for a Posies bargain of my own.

Yep. He had his name chanted by the fans more often than any other player this season. He'd attained that cult favour certain crap players 'who try really hard' get sometimes.

When he was briefly down here he ended up getting a smack off Trevor Benjamin so the story goes.

I call the tv remote 'the channel changer'. I caught that one from my mum and dad. On a musical note my dad often refers to the radio as the 'wireless'.

My favourite season review tape is 96/97. Enough drama and memorable moments for half a dozen seasons. There's a 101 great Leicester goals DVD out I think. Too easy to make a joke about that title really. Blackpool in the cup tonight. Good news is Walker's back. Unfortunately so is Gillespie.

We have Forest and Derby coming up at home soon. We're the side that lost at home to Rotherham so maybe there's hope for Forest yet. It is looking a bit bleak for them at the moment though.

I read this whole thread through from beginning to end the other month when I had nothing better to do. By the time i'd finished I wouldn't even have called it a waste of time.

Pleat? That must have been a joke. I wouldn't even wish that on Forest. Megson should keep you up.

    Sell me on Radiohead.

Even Beavis & Butthead turned that crap off. I only own The Bends and OK Computer and it's staying at just those two. Neither come close to Automatic For The People as far as my favourite 90's albums go though. Up has some great moments (Falls To Climb etc) but about 5 songs or so on there are just worthless.

It was funniest watching the reaction on SKY. They even flashed up Man Utd 0 Tottenham 1 when you expected the usual studio yelp to signal an annoying late winner for Utd. Port Vale are my second team, probably because they're just so nondescript and inoffensive. Always mange them on CM and stuggle to make them exiting. Getting Steve 'Nervous Norris' Guppy off them is about the best/most recent link with Leicester. Further abroad it would be Milan and the mighty RKC Waalwijik. PS. Is Football Manager 2005 worth getting?

    Losers you have encountered

Two people in my class at school believing Giant Gonzalez was 8ft tall and not 7ft 4in as I correctly argued. It got very heated.

    What keeps you tuning in?

I still enjoy the WWE as a piece of fluff where I can switch off my brain and pass a couple of hours. I Haven't bought a DVD, watched any one show more than two weeks running or seen a PPV other than Mania for well over a year but I still stick up for wrestling when other people bash it. I kind of say what Loss said earlier. A few years back Raw and Smackdown were two of the funniest shows on TV with Rock, Austin, Foley, E&C, Regal etc all playing off each other with genuine wit. Although that has largely evaporated there's still some funny moments the odd week.

The Clash were a crap pub rock band. I'd rather listen to the 5 or 6 good songs the Pistols did than anything by their supposed superiors.
  23. Metallica - Some Kind Of Monster 8/10 One of the funniest films of the year. I thought the band themselves came out of it looking pretty ok considering some comments i'd heard, not too many Spinal Tap moments. Very interesting and revealing insight into a private world and fans of the band will love it. It's entertaining and honest enough for non-fans to watch as well. The guy they get in 'to help ease band tensions' is a riot and cameos by Lars Ulrich's dad and Dave Mustaine are hilarious as well (people shout METALLICA! at me in the street!). Goodbye, Lenin! 8.5/10 Wanted to see this since it came out in 2003 and got excellent reviews. The story is perfectly suited to having a voiceover narration and the film is witty and engaging from the start. The wry sense of humour at play in scenes showing the emergence of capitalism are equally as well observed as the central family relations which form the heart of the film. Acting isn't always about delivering lines, sometimes a facial expression or body language can say as much if not more and the sick mother's performance adds a subtle strength to the film throughout. A film full of wit and warmth and a great ending to boot.

    Most Disturbing/Disgusting movie

'The New York Ripper' - A lot of older slasher films flirt with misogyny but films like this just take it to the extreme. I've got a soft spot for exploitation films but there's moments in this film that positively revel in sexual violence far too enthusiatically for any viewer who isn't a potential 'ripper' themselves. I found the rape scene in 'Man Bites Dog' too much as well, I don't think i'd be able to watch Irreversible from what i've heard.
