I fancy Sunderland as well, i'd like to see them go up as they're a well supported club and i've got time for Mick McCarthy, he's the exact same character Peter Reid is and he did brilliant for them.

I don't think Norwich or West Brom would stand much chance of staying up next season with their current squads. WBA haven't changed their style of play much this season and they still don't look to have the quality to survive in the premier, the gap is getting bigger all the time and as far as Megson's team is concerned they seem to have stood still instead of moving forward = that they still find themselves comfortably heading for automatic promotion is evidence that Div 1 hasn't made any significant strides forward quality wise in recent seasons, I think its possibly getting worse. I agree there's plenty of excellent players but there's definately no one team that stands out as a class outfit IMO. Horsefield, Garrdsoe etc have been solid additions but there's too many players who weren't good enough for the top level the first time round and wont be again, survival by the skin of their teeth is the most optimistic I can be about them, I think they'll put up a better fight than last time however. I've seen less of Norwich but certainly enough to give them the same odds as WBA. Fact is that darren Huckerby can't win games on his own at premiership level, the midfield always looks quite neat and tidy but these are still players that haven't attracted a stampede of offers from premiership clubs. Got a feeling they won't get any joy at all away from home in the premier, there just doesn't look much steel there . I get the feeling they might be brushed aside easily too often in the premier where WBA will make teams scrap to take points off them, i could be wrong but we'll just have to wait and see. *Fingers crossed they'll be playing Leicester next season*

I've never heard anything bad about how Molly conducts herself inside or outside the ring during her whole WWE career so I doubt this angle is payback for bad backstage behaviour/attitude etc. The whole thing was pathetic and actually painful to watch, I hope she was ok herself with what she had to do.

Islam having a foothold in the UK - We also have fully fledged Islamic schools now as well which could be labelled a backwards move if you were looking for a particularly charitable way to put it. Your average British school obviously isn't good enough for some of our citizens. Any Roman Catholic/Christian schools etc should be done away with as well but that's a rant for another day.

I didn't quite realise just how tight it is at the bottom of Div 1, seven teams within 3 points of each other. I'm beginning to think Forest and Derby will both stay up now. Leicester have let Matt Elliott go on loan to Ipswich for a month which leaves us with hardly any cover in central defence, we must have loaned out a dozen players this season. Dabizas & Heath will no doubt stay at the centre of the back four for the next few games at least if not the rest of the season. Can't praise Les Ferdinand enough this season, he's been a massive player for us. Everton and Liverpool at home the next two games will be massive.

Well, I'M really looking forward to it myself. I've got a feeling its going to be better than the past two years anyway. I can't pretend to be exited as I would have been ten years ago but that goes without saying really, i'm still enough of a mark to just relax and enjoy the show.

I'm going round my mate's house to watch it, probably go out for a few beers beforehand as well, pizza & sweets are also on the menu. Its going to be a late one being in the UK but that's half the fun.

Regarding the camera crew thing he might have been talking about that film Max Payne shot when he was Man Mountain Rock in the mid-90's. What happened regarding that? Actually, that was something Payne shot himself as I remember so there was no camera 'crew' to speak of.

Not sure if you caught that '100 worst singles' show on Channel 4 a few months ago but it was suggested that Vanilla (who made the top 30 'worst' if memory serves) were an inside joke devised by some record company suits who deliberately formed the worst sounding & plainest looking girl group possible. Somebody won their part of the bet because I think they made it to 20 something in the chart. I wouldn't be surprised at all if it were true, first time me and my mate saw the video on TV we turned to each other and said 'surely this is a joke'? It was THAT bad, 'taking the piss' bad.

Agreed with the Coldplay/ Keane opinion 100%, but I have to say StarSailor might take the prize for the worst indie band in existance. I've never heard a song of theirs that didn't make me full of contempt for them. "Alcoholic" was dreadful, lyrically and musically and they've gotten worse since then. Oh, and Elbow suck too. And Turin Brakes. And the Polyphonic Spree. I remember that 'Alcoholic' song, absolutely awful. Elbow don't deserve to be lumped together with those other bands IMO, they were excellent when I saw them live as well. I'd agree most new indie bands of the past few years are crap though (odd exeption like Broadcast & Blur, Gorky's, SFA etc are still going strong), especially depressing considering how much great music a lot of British indie bands provided in the early to mid 90's.

It wasn't as serious as this but Leicester were chucked out of La Manga a few years back when the players went on a drunken rampage in the hotel. Stan Collymore running amok with a fire extinguisher etc. I'm surprised they had us back again. We'll just have to wait and see what happens regarding these charges. The guy on Talksport hit it on the head - they're in the relegation zone, haven't won for 15 games etc = 'what the hell are they doing in La Manga in the first place? Surely not on a drinking holiday?

Oh God, Coldplay are just horrible and Keane aren't any better. I saw them at Reading in a small tent and left after two songs thinking "Thank God THEY wont get big". 6 months later, the bastards are riding high in the charts. Just another drippy indie band. Oh, and Starsailor- Silence Is Easy. I wish it was, cos that song REALLY sucks. As far as Keane go I had EXACTLY the same experience and thought the same thing to myself in a small tent in Leeds last summer. I left as soon as i'd finished my burger.

I was there, what a great day that was. Typical jammy Forest today with the late goal, Derby need some away points quick or its Div 2. 0-0 with Wolves, no use at all but i'm glad we didn't lose to them, i can't stick Wolves fans. If/when we go down i hope Leeds & Wolves go down with us, i'd rather Pompey stay up, they do have 2 games in hand. Man City could do with a win soon.

If we're talking British crap then 'Dancing In The Moonlight' by Toploader gets my vote, makes my teeth grate something awful and just makes you think of crap local radio playlists and Jamie feckin Oliver. Muse i'm just indifferent to musically but their fans get right up my nose screaming about how they're the best rock band in the world all the while. Bollocks.

I suppose it is a bit of a thankless job and you're right he could have banned a few of us for throwing insults so fair play to him on that score, many other people wouldn't have done the same. I think the obvious common sense solution would be for all of us to make the effort to air any future greivencies in a more tactful and sensible manner, just giving each other the chance and meeting halfway to properly discuss stuff would help more problems to be be resolved rather than allowed to fester. Don't know if its true or just a silly rumour that's got out of hand and exaggerated. Heard it initially from a mate of my Dad's who's one of those fans who prides himself on knowing everything thats going on behind the scenes (has a Leicester AND Forest season ticket believe it or not) and i've heard whispers elsewhere. Adams did give him a week off to 'get his head straight' or something during his layoff. Could be bollocks i suppose, might come out in the future maybe.

I like the old shit-list idea but there's no point to it without describing why you happen to think your chosen list suck. The insults need to be present as well as was already noted.

I was thinking exactly the same even before i read this post. There's still good threads in the pop culture section but you just don't get them in the same quantity these days. Some really good posters who made a mark early on have either left or post on increasingy rare occasions. The earlier era of the board definately had the best of the 'entertaining crap' moments i reckon, trolls that were hilarious like xkiller and weird loose cannons like My Eyebrow Is On Fire & Boo Bradley, posters who were going to end up banned sooner rather than later but were far more interesting than the likes of Eagan, Johnson etc. The last 2-3 months have been decent.

I know, i've wanted to pull my hair out all season. You could go mad saying 'what if' this season but its silly really because at the end of the day it just proves we aren't quite good enough. Our strikers have been excellent all season so its tough on them but i've felt we've been in the process of fighting a losing battle all season because our defence and midfield (especially minus Izzet, heard he got beat up in town!) aren't good enough to protect us.
