I assume you were referring to me. This reply is a little late, and more than likely you have the game by now. However, I got the demo from Gamestop, and I believe OPM had a demo as well. I could be mistaken on the magazine pack-in though.

I've been feeling sad over WWE depriving me of Paul Burchill's best work, to be honest with you. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> He's good? Go figure. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> http://www.fwaonlineplus.co.uk/mm/high/mon...momentshigh.zip Check these free videos out of him from the FWA site. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> * You know, everytime anyone calls Burchill's ability into question (or, more accurately, i suppose, points to having never seen it) they get linked to those same FWA clips. And really, since when does doing a bunch of cool moves for guys willing to bump like ragdolls make anybody a good wrestler.? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> It doesnt make him a good wrestler, per se. It just shows that his offensive arsenal is broader than what WWE is leading on. The C-4 is all in the person taking the bump, and maybe a little silly. It is still a very nice visual, in the same respects as the Canadian Destroyer, and could really pop a crowd. People begged for years for WWE to allow Brock to bust out his SSP, and when he finally did, he fucked it up. So, I can understand WWE perhaps being more than a little apprehensive in letting this huge guy do his Standing SSP, Senton over the ring post, C-4, etc. Birchill has also trimmed-up considerably since those videos, so for all we know, he could be even more agile now, or the complete opposite. Time will tell. Im sure if the day comes that he gets a high profile WM match, WWE may let him do some of his spots, but until then, I dont see it happening.
-
Theres another way you could look at it. London knows hes pretty much screwed for the time being because he did the right thing, and stood up to Vince when he banned the SSP and 450. He may just be assuming he has nothing to lose, and it going to do his own thing in WWE. Juvi is just being Juvi. I remember a couple years back, Juvi was given a darkmatch prior to a Smackdown taping. Juvi decided he was going to work the match full-speed-ahead, and he and his opponent ended up stealing the show. This caused him to get blackballed from WWE for quite a while.

I've heard some very differing opinions on their new album. I love their current single "Happens All the Time", but have yet to hear anything else from the disc. I work at Sam Goody, so I have asked a few customers about it. One guy said he could sum-up his thoughts on the cd with "Quit crying you little bitch". But another customer thought it was possibly their best album yet. What do you guys think of it (those of you who have picked up the album already) ? Edit: I just realized I cant spell worth a shit according to my topic title
-
So as the topic title says, has anyone picked up 10,000 Fists yet? I love Disturbed's current singles, Guarded and Stricken, so I'm hoping the rest of the album is just as good. Thoughts?

Another intertesting thing that I picked up from LordsofPain. Apparently Low Ki called WWE asking for work. He said he's tired of wrestling overseas, and is blackballed from TNA for whatever reason, so his options in the states are pretty limited. To make a long story short, WWE told him he was too stiff and there was very little chance he could find work with them. Heres a link to the story: http://www.lordsofpain.net/news/2005_/arti.../1129696364.php

Reservoir_Kitty from what I've read, there is 8 whole SECONDS of gore added to the uncut version of SAW. I've never seen the r-rated version, so I couldn't tell you what exactly is different.

Nightmare on Elm Street DVD set, $37.99 at Target
haws bah gawd replied to Youth N Asia's topic in Television & Film
Freddy's Dead had a 15-minute sequence at the end in 3D. The 8th disc, the Nightmare Encyclopedia, is very interesting, and comprehensive. You navigate this HUGE interactive maze, and find different interviews, behind the scenes clips, and music videos from the films. To give you an idea of how large the maze is, heres a link to the map - http://www.cheatcc.com/dvd/sg/nightmare_se...ncyclopedia.gif I've had this set for about 4 years, and have watched the holy hell out of it. My cases are really starting to show a lot of wear. I was doing some shopping yesterday and saw that while Target sells this for $37.99 brand new (which is a steal compared to the $125+ I saw it retailed for when it was first released, and close to what I paid for it), good ole Gamestop still sells this USED for $49.99. In short, this box set is worth every single penny of that $37.99. I highly recommend this to everyone. -
I finally watched SAW for the first time last night. I picked up the uncut edition while I was out yesterday. I really enjoyed the movie. The deaths were pretty creative, and the ending was just out there. That reverse bear trap that the woman had to wear was pretty fucked. SInce the uncut version comes with a free movie ticket to see SAW 2, I think I'll be watching that as well.

My question is this. Now that there is a "midget division" for Smackdown, will it get it's own championship belt?
-
I fully expect people to wheel this excuse out again. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I have a friend that sat in front of Spike TV for 20 minutes waiting for RAW to start, and forgot all about the movie to USA.
-
One thing this movie needs is a cheesy "Go Get 'EM"-style soundtrack. Rocky IV has this area perfected with such classics as "No Easy Way Out" and "Hearts on Fire". I can attribute Rocky acting like an idiot in Rocky V to the brain damage he suffered at the hands of Drago. He successfully pulled off the rope-a-dope against Clubber in Rocky III with no apparent side effects, but Clubber didn't punch with 2000 lbs of force like Drago did. Hence the severe brain damage and him not being able to stop his hands from shaking in Rocky V.

I've had the demo for about 2 weeks, and this game is looking quite incredible. My only complaint is the camera makes things a little difficult to work with when you are trying to climb some of the rocks. Other than that, cant wait for the actual game.
-
I am all sorts of excited about this one. I love these movies more than anything. I will admit Rocky took a beating from Drago in IV that would've killed any normal man. I hope this is good.
-
Yea I remember now. For some weird reason I lost my mind and thought the Alliance angle ended in '02 instead of '01. Its funny how much time has passed since then. I didn't think the match had a bad finish. RVD had the Dudleyz beat by himself, and it took a fuck-up on his end, as well as the Dudleyz KILLING him with those table spots to beat him. Even though he lost, I thought it made him look fairly strong.
-
Wasn't the RVD match from RAW the night after SS 2002 the one where he was put in a handicap hardcore match against the Dudleyz? I remember RVD going for a 5-star onto D'von who was on a table. D'von rolled out of the way and RVD broke the table with his FACE. Then to top it off RVD took 2, 3-D's to end the match (because it took 2 to break the other table).

Good work Vyce. Im glad someone else enjoys this classic zombie movie as much as I do.

Once again, its great to have you back Dames! I know not many people here like it, but I love how descriptive your reviews are, and how you actually call out 90% of the moves used in the match instead of the lazy "theres some high flying action and a few punches and kicks". As a few of the other board members have said, we could do with a few more ALL CAPITAL WORDS, ~'s, and HOUSE EN FUEGO~!!!'S

One match I seldom see mentioned was in February '03 on RAW. It was between Chris Jericho and Jeff Hardy. This is far and away the best WRESTLING match of Hardy's career, and Jericho did one hell of a job carrying him. The match went over 20 minutes, and the crowd ate it up. Unfortunately, the rematch at No Way Out was nowhere near as good. I'm normally not too good of a guess on the star rating scale, but I have no problem giving this match *** 3/4. I recommend everyone track this down somehow..

Anyone remember when Big Show was still somewhat in shape?
-
I finally got a chance to see the battle royal. I would kill for the chance to see a London/Spanky/Juvi triangle match for the Cruiserweight Title. There were some spots in that match that I never though WWE would allow again. Things like the DVD, Juvi's INSANE flying dropkick onto the top rope (London moved out of the way), and Juvi's attempted powerbomb over the top turnbuckle to the floor on London. I remember a few weeks back, reading an interview with Vince where he spoke on limiting the moves that he allows the cruisers to do. He said something on the lines of "only if they know what they are doing, and are good at it, I let them fly". So, I was glad to see that WWE allowed the final 3 guys to go pretty much full speed (while still wrestling the "WWE Style").

Anyone picked up some of the Turbo BK Joe yet? This is the most caffeine-loaded coffee I've ever had. I'm trying to sit still in my database class right now, and I feel like I need to stand up and run a mile.

If it wouldnt be too much trouble NY Untouchable, could you upload Bret's swearing tirade? I havent seen or heard this since the night it happened, and I remember it being such a shock to me at the time (the first time I ever heard "bullshit" on cable TV).
