    Royal Rumble 2009

I could distinctly hear "We Want Christian", and an insane amount of support behind Hacksaw. That crowd would have blown up if "Just Close Your Eyes" hit towards the end of that match.

    Royal Rumble 2009

I posted this in the "Future Plans" thread, but thought I'd mention it here too. FWIW, Matt Hardy's Myspace has Christian's "Just Close Your Eyes" theme looping repeatedly in the background. www.myspace.com/theonlymatthardy

The 25th Anniversary of WrestleMania Thread

Speaking of plans for the future. FWIW, on Matt Hardy's Myspace, he has Christian's "Just Close Your Eyes" theme looping repeatedly in the background.

    Saw V - Opening October 24th

Pendulum Trap These have really been kind of downhill since the 2nd one, but I still look forward to them year after year. We're supposed to finally find out what happened to Jeff's daughter after Saw 3, and the usual tying-up of lose ends. Thoughts?

    Saw V - Opening October 24th

I got it on regular DVD, I had heard that none of the previous SAW movies look that great in HD. You can get the first 3 at Wal Mart for $10 a pop on BR but I think IV is regular price. My girlfriend bought Saw 1 and 2 for me on Blu Ray for Christmas. If you have a 1080p TV, I suggest checking out the end of the first one. You can see lots of little "dabs" all over Cary Elwey's face from the makeup sponge they used to make him all sickly and pale after he cut off his own foot. Low budget film making doesn't really lend itself well to HD.

    Saw V - Opening October 24th

I still believe we're going to discover that Dr. Gordon was the surgeon in the clip at the beginning of Saw 2. If you go back and watch the scene, you'll notice whoever put the key behind the eye of the private detective was walking with a very heavy limp. Was it ever confirmed to be anyone in particular? I picked up Saw V on Blu-Ray today at Target. Some of it translates well to HD, but other parts, not so much.

    Finish Him!

My current favorites: The Border Toss - Looks like death when sold by the smaller guys, and still convincing enough to put away others. RKO - The equivalent of death in WWE. Just as much as the Pedigree. G.T.S. - A simple, effective move. Hellevator - A little contrived, but looks cool and sometimes that's all it takes. Old School: Scorpion Deathdrop - Doesn't convince me much these days. Back in 1996 though, this was the most amazing thing I'd ever seen. I can still remember thinking to myself, "A Reverse DDT? That's amazing! Who ever thought of such a thing?". Ultimate Warrior's any-given-combination of Gorilla Press, Clothesline, Shoulder Tackle, Big Splash. Vader's Moonsault Vertebreaker Steiner Screwdriver Scott Steiner's Frankensteiner

    The TSM Weight Loss Contest

I originally dieted in April 2004 until the following December. In that time, I went from 286 to 199. I managed to get into a Large-size shirt for the first time since I was probably 10 or 11 (I was 23 at this time), and in 32-Waist jeans. However, I did this with ZERO exercise, and just drastically altered my diet. The result of not exercising was even though I lost nearly 90 lbs, I still looked like shit naked. Since then, through piss-poor eating habits and next to no exercise, I've ballooned back to 278, but am down to 268 last I checked (last Sunday, the 18th), after dieting since January 1st. This time I'm trying to do it right. A shitload of jogging/walking, eating right, and hitting the Bowflex "20 minutes a day, 3 days a week".

    The TSM Weight Loss Contest

I carry a lot of my weight in the belly and thighs. A friend of mine weighs 240-ish and is in 40-waist jeans. Just different body types I suppose.

    The TSM Weight Loss Contest

Like I said, I'm not going to weigh again until next Wednesday. However, I've been busting my ass at the jogging track and on the Bowflex. I've been dieting since January 1st, and I've already dropped 4 belt loops, and my legendary gut has become about half it's size.

TSM Remembers: The Natural Born Thrillers

Sean O'Haire was the shit when WCW was in it's dying days. Freakishly tall and built, but as agile as just about anyone, with a killer look. I was pissed when his team with Jindrak was killed off. O'Haire looked like crap last time I saw a picture of him.

    The Concert Thread

Probably "uncool" to mention this show. On February 11th, theres a concert with Disturbed feat. Sevendust and Skindred coming to Augusta, GA. I've never had the chance to see Sevendust live, and Skindred is a bit of a guilty pleasure. Disturbed's last album was decent enough, so I may check it out.

    Finish Him!

I dunno...I kinda doubt El Dandy ever knocked anyone out with a punch... WCW announcers always did tout El Dandy’s punch as being one of the best in the sport. He never used it as a finisher (I believe he used a La Majistral style roll-up he called the Dandy Roll or something) but the announcers would always note when he hit his big punch. My favorite El Dandy moment was when Flair and Anderson were bribing him to lose to David Flair back in 99. Flair’s bribe was hilarious, saying something like, “steak every night, stay on this side of the border, permanently.” Then during the match, El Dandy got pissed at David for something and knocked the piss out of him which prompted AA to spinebuster him so that David could get a cheap win via the figure four. Hah, I'd kill to see that. AA splattering El Dandy all over the mat with a Spinebuster, and David getting a cheap win. Fun times!

    ECW Arena might be closing

Damn shame really. A lot of fun stuff happened there. C'mon WWE, get your new vision of ECW in there for one last show. You know, for memory's sake. That'd probably be the most fun I would have watching crowd reactions, since the last ECW taping, WWE ran at the Hammerstein Ballroom.

Considering I didn't get my weight to Cheech until this past Sunday, I'm going to take a break from the weigh-in today, and repost next Wednesday.

This made me laugh a fuckin' lot. I happened to pull up this page while listening to "The Prophecy" by Dream Evil, and the dancing synced perfectly. Laughed my fucking ass off.

    WWE Raw - January 19, 2009

Awesome ending segment, even if it went really long. Vince took the stiffest punt from Orton since Cena's Dad. Mike Knox's "reason" for attacking Mysterio week after week was great. I really like how CM Punk always celebrates winning any title like he has won the Super Bowl. Even with the Intercontinental Title, he made you believe his dream just came true. Jumping into the crowd, celebrating all over the place, hometown or not, he looked genuinely happy. The only downer was Michael Cole wondering if "CM Punk would achieve his lifelong dream of being IC Champion". Yea, I'm sure the former World Champion has just been frothing at the mouth wanting a shot at the IC gold. He's already won the top gold in ECW and RAW. Everything else is just icing on the cake. Doesn't this technically make him a Grandslam winner now, and not just a Triple Crown winner?

WCW facts, tidbits, and stuff people forgot

Hmm, Hercules was Super Invader? I did not know that. I still remember watching the unveiling of Super Invader with my Mother, and Grandparents back in the day. What's funny is I was the only person interested and they were just kind of watching. Anyways, when they finally showed the guy, we all burst out laughing. Especially at his weird gloves that made him look like he only had 3 fingers. Even as an impressionable 10 or 11 year old, I thought Super Invader looked ridiculous.

Attitude Era Timeline in your opinion?

Because the McMahons still show up on TV? I figured WWE would eventually revert back to a block style logo, similar to the throwback logo that John Cena was using several years back. It would probably be a bit on the expensive side to get the logos changed on all their title belts, ring gear, stage, etc.
