Well, just damn. I had no idea Noob Saibot won the World Title at Wrestlemania 20, and celebrated with Eddie Guerrero afterwards.

WWE General Discussion - May 2009

I'm half-expecting Sheamus to debut on Smackdown. Aren't they going to need some reason to write-off Undertaker so that he can go get his supposed double-knee surgery? Well, Sheamus is 6'5 and in the upper 200's in weight. Why not have him debut and "BEAT UNDERTAKER LIKE HE'S NEVER BEEN BEATEN BEFORE"? It would instantly establish him as someone special. Though, one has to wonder. When are even the casual fans going to stop buying "new guy debuts, beats up 'Taker, then eventually loses to him"?

    ECW 5/12

Count me in as well. Josh Matthews must have said his full name "David Hart-Smith" about 30 times within just the few minutes it took to do the beatdown.

The OaO Monday Night Raw thread for 5/4/09!

Count me in for being bored to tears during Big Show's beatdown on Cena. We all know how this is going to play out already. Cena will overcome the odds just like he fucking always does, and beat Big Show at the ppv. Then he'll FU him at the ppv, all the while the announcers will be acting like they've never seen Big Show manhandled like that before, as though it's something new. Honestly, how many wins does Cena have over Big Show anyways? It's not like WWE didn't go ahead and flush away his "he won't be medically cleared to compete for another 2 weeks" gimmick, by having him team with Batista to take on Legacy in RAW's dark match last night, so really whats the point.

Michaels is supposed to be out to heal up some nagging injuries until they start building towards Summerslam. I haven't read anything about Undertaker getting knee surgery yet. Can't believe WWE didn't have their big man flavor of the month attack him and beat him "like we've never, and I mean NEVER seen Undertaker get beaten before", to write him out while he gets his knees worked on.

    Pictures I Like

Well, that fellow isn't picky now is he? First he says "I'm not picky", then follows it up with a grocery list of things his ideal woman must conform to. He wants a white (preferably), conservative, redhead, who will please her man, clean the house, and have a job. The fuck is his lazy ass going to do? If this guy weighs 224, I'll eat my hat.

That he did (in 1998, IIRC), though that match may be remembered better for Sid's epic bladejob than the actual match, which admittedly, was a GREAT brawl.

Don't forget Kennedy, which looks especially idiotic on him. Yeah, Kennedy also has that stupid clown/jester tattoo on his arm. FWIW, on WWE's Superstar Ink page, even Kennedy says he hates the joker tattoo.

I can't for the life of me, tell who that is. The windscreen on the mic is covering too much of his face. Looks like the Sheik though.

That man is my hero. When he pinned HBK at MSG for the 123, for the acronym world title, I was ecstatic. I just remember the crowd turning on HBK, and being nearly 100% behind Sid. As a HUGE Sid fan, I loved this and still do. Sid did have some pretty good brawls with people not named Shawn Michaels though. His match with Scott Steiner at Starrcade 2000 is 100X better than it has any right to be. It's either a testament to Steiner's ability to carry someone at the time, or proof Sid can fucking GO when he wants to.

    X-Men Animated Series DVD Release...

I was really hoping these would be released "Season style" as opposed to random episodes spread over 4 discs. Disc 1 of Volume 1 looks to be in airing order, but after that it looks like the discs kind of skip around. I'm disappointed about the lack of the 4-part time-traveling Apocalypse epic, and the (IMO) POWERFUL episode where Wolverine finds religion. I'll probably still pick these up, though. This was a great show way back, and I still catch it from time to time on Disney XD.

Even the full back tattoo has gotten cliche in WWE. Everyone from Brock, to Batista, to fucking Santino has a full-back tattoo. Orton has that tribal shit that was cool for about 2 weeks in the early 2000's, but at least he got some sleeves made. Someone needs to get some pants tattooed to set them apart from the rest.

    Smackdown Spoilers for 5/1

He's G2S'd Snitsky but who knows. They really do need to give him a secondary finisher for big guys. The Anaconda Vise would be perfect. I'll go for that as well. That move looked painful as all hell. I remember hearing rumors that Big Show had volunteered to tap-out to this at December to Dismember, before the Bobby Lashley megapush started. Punk has also managed to GTS JBL, who isn't a small man by any means.

This man: I don't know what it is about Sid, but while others have condemned him, I've never once minded watching him perform. I've always enjoyed his powerbombs, chokeslams, and sledgehammer punches. I'm waiting for the once-a-year "Sid is returning to WWE" rumors to start up again.

    "Playboy" Buddy Rose Dead

I've caught some of his AWA stuff on ESPN Classic. It's always impressed me with how agile and limber he was for a man of his girth, even his one-armed pushups were impressive. His comedic & cowardly timing was also pretty good. RIP, indeed.

    Albums Listened to Today

So, I came across this gem not too long ago. This was Tommy Lee's one-shot rap-rock album from late 1999. My girlfriend best remembered the album for the "Tommy Lee bouncing naked on a bed song", ("Get Naked"). There are guest appearances galore on this album. Everyone from Fred Durst, Kid Rock, and Lil Kim to George Clinton and Snoop Dogg. I figure I can't be the only person that owns this. The main gripe with this album is its kind of a mess. These guys couldn't decide if they were nu-metal, rockers, or a rap act, so this album features a little of everything. Considering the guest appearances are kept to a minimum, the album is surprisingly somewhat tolerable. I'm just at a loss of what prompted me to get the album in the first place.

Yea, I remember that Hoyt was originally Dallas, but for some reason I thought he played Trytan as well. I also remember Hoyt being ungodly over for a while a few years back.

Was Hoyt, Trytan, or was that another generic big man that TNA had under contract?

MvC2 was an awesome game way back, even with all the balancing issues. Should be fun.

I'm surprised it took them this long to be honest. The guy has the look, but it will be a cold day in hell when WWE lets him bust out the moonsaults and stuff he did in TNA.
