I owned Final Fantasy Chronicles, but never played Chrono Trigger. I also owned the Super Ninteno version, mint in box, but sold it for a massive profit before playing it. In closing, I've never played it. Back in 2001, when Switchhouse.com or whatever it was called was still up, a friend of mine traded his copy of Quest 64 for Chrono Trigger (cartridge only) and the Official Strategy Guide. He still to this day calls that the greatest deal he's ever made.

Anyone watch the Macy's Parade? RICK ASTLEY made a surprise appearance on the "Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends" float:

I kind of figured Shawn Ryan knew he wouldn't be able to top "Overcome". It's crazy to think that the money train heist at the end of Season 2 was really what fed the show for the following five seasons. Amazing! Even though it was the Season 4 theme, more or less, Johnny Cash's "Hurt" (while Vic was sitting silently at his cubicle) would have been perfect to close the series with.

I've heard three albums from them: Icon, Draconian Times, and In Reqiuem. I know you said they vary, but I liked Icon and DC more than IR. I really like Amorphis, especially Tales From a Thousand Lakes, Elegy, and Tuonela. Their new album (Silent Waters) didn't do it for me though. Hey, sorry for not replying sooner. I still haven't gotten around to checking out any of their other stuff, but I haven't forgotten. -
Goood call by a few of you. Now, they could have done something a little different so Vic gets to stay out in the streets. He could have used the file on Olivia so he could do whatever he wanted. But that might not have ended well with how the story went. I'm sure that went thru Ryan's head at some point. God yes! I was actually waiting for him to bring out "his" file on Olivia to get her back in line. He gave her the file back several weeks ago, but I figured he kept something vital from the file, or made copies of everything, just in case. By giving her the file, and keeping none of it for future use, he really screwed himself. Vic is stuck behind a desk for the next three years, and is in his own personal hell. You gotta wonder how differently things would gone if Vic called Shane's bluff from the beginning. What if he told him from the start, after Shane went on the run, that he already made a deal with the feds and got immunity. Shane wouldn't have known any different.

So, I guess him losing his tunnel, pyro, and music was part of the ultimatum given to him by Vickie Guerrero. It was something like, if he didn't get a win by Survivor Series, he would have to give back some of his incentives? That's kind of funny to think about, actually. It got a bit of a chuckle out of me a few weeks ago when a Hurrican Helms bubble popped up during MVP's entrance and he said something about, "MVP, what happened? You used to have a tunnel and pyro, but you don't have them anymore. JUST SAYIN'!" Awesome.

Shave off Tomko's billygoat beard and what does he have? Knox is a much better wrestler than Tomko. I haven't seen Tomko in TNA, which came after a successful Japan stint, so maybe he'll surpirse me. Knox is the Truth. Shave off Tomko's billygoat beard and you still have an above-average big man. If you didn't see him work in TNA, you missed out. After WWE, Tomko went to Japan and someone over there taught him how to wrestle. He's night and day to how he was in his first WWE stint. Knox really does nothing for me.

Tomko - Big man that can work, shows a lot of intensity in the ring, but can't work the mic for shit. Snitsky - JTTS. Just a big man who's there to put over other wrestlers, and have the occasional win over Val Venis. Decent on the mic, not so good in the ring. Mike Knox - Isn't it nice of Mr. McMahon to let that nice homeless guy that lives behind the arena earn a couple bucks? All kidding aside, he's just another bland big guy with a hobo beard and plain ring gear. I like his snap Flatliner finisher, but aside from that, he's nothing impressive in the ring. Personally, I would rather see Tomko get a push out of the three. RAW could use him, SD could use him, even ECW needs a credible monster not named Mark Henry. BTW, why does he always have to be aligned with Christian?. The only thing worth noting that they ever did together was "Tomko gimme a beat!.........No." It was still funny as hell though. Edge and Christian back together would make for all sorts of fun. Tomko would be better served on his own, IMO.

IIRC, the wrest....Supers....Entertai....Superstar *sigh* that got busted with the Wizzinator was Manu. If anything, MVP should have taken it up with him for ruining the drug testing for everyone, rather than act like an ass to a drug tester who was just doing his job.
-
Wow, WWE actually signed a big man that can work? They'll NEVER use him to his full potential, but that is a hell of a signing! I just hope they don't make him flounder-away in the Development camp relearning how to work like a WWE big man.

I just watched the replay. I wanted to slap the taste out of Dutch's mouth with how cocky and arrogant he looked when they arrested Ronnie. He then gave Vic this "HAHA I got you" face. It's truly horrible sitting there and seeing how much of a rage Ronnie goes into over Vic's betrayal.

I would buy that as soon as it went on sale. A big silhouette of Nash on the front, and BOOT on the back. Make it happen, TNA!

Here's the 8 Part "The Most Hated Family in America" BBC Documentary for those that are interested. Enjoy!

FWIW, in the book, "The Stone Cold Truth", Austin said if there's one thing he could go back and change, it's that he wouldn't have turned heel. He said if he had to do it over again, he would have had things go the way they did, but as soon as the match ended, call an audible, toast Vince, then immediately drill him with a Stunner. I was in disbelief over Hogan being the 3rd man, but he really set a new standard for heel turns.

Shane's end was just sad to me. To see him so desperate to not let his wife go to prison, and not have his son know him and his wife as murderers, he does the unthinkable and silently OD's them. It was a horrible end for his family, and in the end, he shot himself so he wouldn't have to live with the guilt. There's still so many unanswered questions: What about Vic and Danny's custody battle? What about Dutch and the teen killer? This would have been PERFECT for them to dip back into Dutch's dark side, and have him so desperate to bring the kid in that he kills his mother and gets the blame placed perfectly on the kid. What about Corrine and Vic's other children? What becomes of them having to live under assigned names in a new town? Vic, forced to have a desk job, and working as nothing more than an advisor. He's truly in his own personal Hell. Olivia turned 100% against Vic following his confessions. The scene involving the arrest of Ronnie was intense. You could see the hurt in his eyes and on his face, discovering the one person he trusted and looked up to, sold him out. Honestly, I wouldn't have minded seeing him get one good swing at Vic before being hauled away.

I have two songs that I am most particularly fond of: "Little Drummer Boy / Peace on Earth" - Bing Crosby and David Bowie Any version of "O Holy Night". I can listen to just about anyone sing this song, and enjoy it every time. Josh Groban has a good version, even early 90's pop star Jon Secada did a good version. Hell, I even like Trey Parker's "Cartman" version of the song. I always thought "O Holy Night" would make a great metal song, but never heard of anyone attempting such a thing until recently. It's in Finnish, but for those that know the words, you can still enjoy this one, "Oi Jouluyö" by Raskaampaa Joulua (Marco Hietala of Nightwish providing the vocals):

Long story short, this this was in development since my early High School years. After working on it all that time, Axl wanted to make damn sure that people knew it was the long awaited GnR album, even if it took putting the band's name all over the cover, spine, and back.

WWE General Discussion-November 2008

I never said Punk vs Austin would be good. I simply said it would be interesting, since Canadian Dragon brought up the whole Straight-Edge heel thing. -
I was thinking the same thing last night. Unless he's outgrown them or something, why does he only use the bodysuit and wig? That was a pretty sweet suplex->neckbreaker that he used on Santino last night, though.

What Would Be Your Theme/Entrance Music?

Anyone who uses "Never Gonna Give You Up", would instantly become my favorite wrestler. I nearly choked on my drink erlier in the Summer when McMahon did one of the first calls for the Million-Dollar giveaway, and got RickRoll'D by the guy's ringback tone. -
WWE General Discussion-November 2008

I think Austin could have an acceptable match with Kennedy since they're backstage buddies and all. It probably wouldn't get epic levels of crowd heat, especially with Kennedy appearing as a face last night on RAW, but people who get along seem to generate better matches than those who can't stand each other. Personally, I think Austin would only come out of retirement for his "final" match if he could put on one for the ages, and I don't really think Kennedy has it in him. Punk vs Austin would definitely be interesting. -
*Survivor Series 2002* *cough cough* I called a friend last night to ask what he thought of the show. The first thing he had to say was Cena's promo sucked.

The final season has been nothing short of amazing. The only thing it's been missing up to this point is a memorable musical montage to close an episode. I figure we'll get one tonight. Like I have said previously, I want to see them top "Overcome" at the end of Season 2. That's still the best 3 minutes of television ever, IMO.

But for how long? I read somewhere on this board that J-Mar brought WWE a prototype Spinner World title not too long ago.
