WWE General Discussion-November 2008

Wait, who would say "poser"...Manu or Umaga? Umaga -
Michaels flipping from a simple boot to the face after going to the top rope. That's why HBK rules.

I'm fucking excited as hell for next week. The preview made it seem like someone is going to die. At this point, Vic (or Ronnie, for that matter) being killed or getting arrested is WAY too obvious, as Craig pointed out. Even Shane and Mara being killed or arrested seems too obvious. I think there is some major twist coming. It looks like Claudette will finally nail Vic and Ronnie, but their ties with the ICE people will grant them immunity. Claudette is obviously losing it, Dutch is starting to doubt her, there is still not much word from Danny aside from her telling Dutch she would be back soon, and there's just so many lose ends to tie up. Can't wait to see how it all ends. I just hope this show doesn't get snubbed AGAIN when the Emmy noms come up.

I'm guessing the spoilers weren't correct (or maybe just misunderstood), because I saw that they announced HHH vs Jeff Hardy for the WWE Title for "next week", then Hardy ended up getting the pinfall in their match. At first I was thinking how silly it was of them to hotshot the title onto Jeff right before Survivor Series, but I was happy at the same time that Jeff finally won the big one. I kinda hope now that Jeff ends up getting the pin at SS for the title. Have Matt come out for a show-ending celebration, and WWE can finally (sadly) erase the Benoit/Eddy moment from history.

A friend and I were discussing Umaga the other night. We thought it would be funny to have Umaga bump into Manu at Survivor Series or something, and say in a quiet, normal voice, "poser". -

Of all the people who have survived the cuts, I can't believe Kevin Thorn remains employed. I love the guy's work, and his Vampire gimmick was fun. I've always figured WWE must have some sort of plan for him if they haven't released him after all this time. -
I'd just be glad to hear "Just Close Your Eyes" again. That was such a badass theme.

Things I learned from RAW tonight: John Cena is returning at Survivor Series *yes, I knew already, but they don't have to ram it down your throat and Resistance 2 is out NOW for Playstation 3 Santino getting destroyed in a minute was interesting.

Damn, 90% of the time they come up with better storylines for these games than they do for the TV shows. "Who Will Save the Savior......TERMINATE JERICHO!" seems badass!

Are there any WWE Wrestl....Entertainers you'd change up?

Mm...that could explain it. 1)He pudged up, so she left him or 2)She left him, and with no reason to look good he pudged up. Probably 1. -

God, he looks bad. Hard to believe this is the little guy that used to be married to Torrie Wilson. -
They'll just ignore it if they want to. How many title shots did Abyss earn for himself only for it to be forgotten for months on end. Sting vs AJ sounded like a pretty good match, but they ripped-off the Jeff Hardy/HHH finish (which probably ripped off something else) with the "one more time" thing.

Somehow, I don't think Brock's face-first SSP at WMXIX made Kidman look bad. Well, points for execution, not so much the end-result? Eh, Brock at least ended up in the ring. In one of the newer Botchamania's on Youtube, theres a clip of Kidman trying the SSP on William Regal and landing on the top rope. Someone in the crowd then yells, "YOU FUCKING CUNT!". -
If FAIL is passe, what's the new cool thing? Is PWN3D going to make a return?

This may be the same documentary, but I remember years back, (it may have been during the Attitude Era Boom) there was a documentary that aired, and the very last clip it showed, was super slo-mo footage of Disco Inferno kicking La Parka in the head, and the kick missed by a country mile. HOORAY FOR LONG SENTENCES! -

Hasn't he pretty much used the spear despite someone else using it that it would make more sense with? Rhyno Goldberg Batista Bobby Lashley There may be more but I can't think of any. Speaking of Lashley, WHY did he need 3 finishers? He had Farrooq's Dominator, Bulldog's Running Powerslam, and Generic Spear #42-B. Not to mention, they gave him an entrance that was a hybrid of Goldberg's (the entrance ramp pyro) and Brock's (pyro shooting from the ring posts). WWE wanted to push the guy so bad they could hardly stand it, so tell me why he needed so many finishers? I don't think Batista was regularly using the Spear until well into his first title reign. For a while he was even using Goldberg's Jackhammer as a transitional move. I don't have a source for the following 2 stories, I just remember reading about them in the Dirt Sheets way back when. All the repetitive moves here, and what about Billy Kidman flipping his shit at Brock following the SSP at WMXIX. I believe this suicidal little Jewish man was bitching at Brock about how he made him look bad by stealing his move. Damn right he made him look bad, by being twice Billy's size and doing the SSP about 10X better. Kidman's SSP looked like shit, and he botched it half the time. Oh well, neither are active wrestlers anymore anyways. I remember a similar story about AJ Styles when he was in WCW for a short time. He did the Shooting Styles Press on an episode of WCW Saturday Night, and Kidman again lost his gord yelling at him backstage. So, to make it up to him, the next week AJ did the SSP again, and jumped nearly twice as high. -
Back in 2005, me and a friend were on our annual 3-Day drinking binge throughout SC, and landed a coupon for a two-bed Suite at the Courtyard Marriot for $59.99 / night at the SC Welcome Center. Aside from that, the most I've payed for a hotel room for a night is about $65-70 for a room at a Holiday Inn in upstate-NC after a concert in 2006.

Someone feel free to correct me, but I swear I heard Vic (The Shield) drop an F-Bomb at some point during Season 2. I've also noticed South Park continues to censor "shit" unless it serves some point in the episode, as in "Le Petite Tourette" and the very end of "Imagination Land", though the later is available uncensored.
