Took me about 5 minutes, in and out, around 12:30 this afternoon. Gave my 2 cents and called it a day. I may have read wrong, but I was skimming through the state amendments and whatnot, and came across one where, IIRC, SC wants to lower the state's age of sexual consent to 14. Like I said, I may have read wrong, but SC is about to become the child-predator paradise if that gets passed.

Wrestler/Belt Combos That Didn't or Wouldn't Look Good
haws bah gawd replied to ChrisMWaters's topic in General Wrestling
Yeah, I agree there. It was OK at first, but when it became clear that TNA would be nothing like the classic NWA, they should have updated the belt to something more modern. At least their current belt looks good. True, but then you have a lot of people, including a lot of folks around here, that start bitching and moaning with things like "what if they changed the Stanley Cup?" and things like that. You have people who embrace change and others that will never be happy if you change a title's design, no matter how outdated it may be. Here's my contributions: Not so much the ECW title, which he was LONG overdue to hold, but that God-Awful abomination on his left shoulder. Anyone not named John Cena needs to be carrying this beauty: Sigh...While I don't have a huge boner for the previous design like a lot of others do, this belt has never looked right on anyone. The center plate seems way too wide. Huge belt....little man Small belt, even littler man I gotta say, it always got a chuckle from me when Big Show would wear this belt around his bicep -
Discussion: Bluring / Removing "WWF" and scratch logos from
haws bah gawd replied to ChrisMWaters's topic in The WWE Folder
If they ever go with a new logo, I wouldn't mind them using Cena's old "throwback" WWE logo. It looked kind of classy actually. -
Maybe Jericho being so confident that he would win will lead to someone planting that ring or hook or whatever it was on top of the cage? Though one will have to suspend disbelief a little to imagine that Jericho just knew he and Batista would be tied up on that particular corner of the cage? Maybe Mike Adamle trying to make up to Jericho for "screwing" him at the PPV?

I too was about to reply with, you must be happy now .

The dancing segment was probably the most embarrassed I've felt as a wrestling fan for a while. My girlfriend of nearly 3 years has watched nearly every RAW with me during that time, and even I was looking at her like "what the hell is on my TV right now?". It really had no purpose, other than just to kill time I guess. Still would have liked to have seen Paul London make a return to take Even Bourne's place as Rey's partner, but he's been gone for so long, half the fans probably wouldn't recognize/remember him. You'd have a built-in feud between Bourne and London upon Bourne's return, and the two of them could probably do God's work in the ring. C'mon WWE, either use the guy or let him go! I don't mind Big Dave as champion, but I'm not so sure the timing was right to put the belt back on Jericho so fast. The ending made Batista look like a choke artist, and there were a couple times where he could have easily walked out of the cage (thus making him look like a dumb shit). Now we all get to look forward to John Cena winning the World Belt (though SS is in his hometown, and WWE has a knack for having the "Hometown Hero" lose) and WWE can have yet another hideous blinged-out title.

Yea, that's definitely his 2004-2005 look, but still, they're going above and beyond on the alternate attires this year. After years of only getting HHH and JBL wearing suits, and Kane as old Kane, they're finally doing some good work on this. I believe it was Shut Your Mouth where everyone had at least 2-3 different attires, so this is definitely a step back in the right direction. It doesn't add anything to the gameplay per se, but it's still nice to be able to toss up appearances from time to time.

Jason Cross. Dammit!

That's one sleazy little slasher movie. Savini also did the effects work for it, if I'm not mistaken. Sure did. Reason I ask, is I have this on DVD, but haven't watched it in quite some time. It's definitely worth checking out. It is indeed one sleezy film. It's one of those "midnight" movies that some theaters show.

From Rajah Joe slapping Shelley just sounds funny to me. The guys been pissing and moaning about respect for the past couple months, and he slaps someone. MEN DON'T SLAP! MEN PUNCH OR GIVE A FOREARM OR SOMETHING! Thoughts?

Completely off the subject, but has anyone here seen Maniac? It's a low-budget horror flick from the late 70's/early 80's starring Joe Spinnel (Gazzo from the Rocky movies). Surprisingly decent, if not a little on the sick side. It has a badass scene where Tom Savini takes a shotgun blast to the face in full gory detail.

Is he the same guy that did the shooting star legdrop? I believe he called it the Crossfire? Yea, he was good.

WWE General Discussion-November 2008
haws bah gawd replied to ChrisMWaters's topic in The WWE Folder
I can only imagine how much of his moveset will be banned before his first match, or before even being shipped to OVW for "reprogramming". -
I saw this with a friend this afternoon. I thought it was funny as hell, and Jason Mewes OWNED this film. Lester the Molester was great. I had to wipe tears from my glasses after the end of the film from laughing so hard.

Benoit is one thing I am concerned with regarding the Eddy box set. His tribute speech was far and away the most emotional, and he and HHH put on one hell of a match at the Smackdown tapings. It would be a shame for those to be edited out.

It's been getting horrible reviews as well. And I wanted to see this one- for some reason, it reminded me of End of Days, whcih I liked. IMO, End of Days is one of Arnold's best roles, and one of the most underrated Horror/Thriller films of the 90's. Gabriel Byrne is also great as "The Man".

What was it a video of? -
I'm sorry to nitpick, but that's bullshit that you have to go for a pin after nailing the SSP. Otherwise, Evan Bourne's moveset looks great. I especially like the Standing Super 'Rana out of the corner. I'm gonna have to find some way to get some of this DLC.

What's the deal with the Zombie attires? Just for looks? Would've liked to have seen the badass Rey Mysterio Zombie pic that WWE.com had posted, but take what you can get. Who doesn't like Zombies?! Regarding Charlie Haas DLC, that opens up a whole world of possibilities. This should be a fun game!

workers who get called great but you disagree
haws bah gawd replied to chrislatimer's topic in General Wrestling
Still to this day don't see what people see in Bret Hart. Guy was an decent wrestler no doubt, but too vanilla for me. Of course, I always had an issue with a face wrestler who was too "goody-goody". Don't know why. Still don't see the appeal of Samoa Joe either. -
What Wrestling Shirts Did You Own?
haws bah gawd replied to Diamonddust's topic in General Wrestling
I too have the shirt with Stone Cold battling Shawn Micheals around here somewhere. I believe it has Austin stomping HBK in the gut and has "And That's The Bottom Line, Cause Stone Cold Said So!" under the picture. I believe this is a still from their 1997 KOTR match. I'm such a nerd Worth noting, I wanted an Austin 3:16 shirt something awful, but my Mother is uber-religious, and wouldn't let me get one. Other shirts I've either owned before or presently have: WCW Original nWo nWo Red and Black A shirt featuring Crow Sting posing, with STING written behind him in blue Crow Sting Silhouette (WCW did a series of these featuring Sting, Ric Flair, and Giant IIRC) DDP - Blue diamond in the middle of the shirt with DDP's face and hands in the middle WWE/F SEVERAL Ultimate Warrior Shirts way back when Stone Cold vs HBK shirt mentioned above Stone Cold What Shirt Triple H - Cerebral Assassin Triple H - Iron Cross Batista - one of the first made, IIRC EDIT: Degeneration X Reunion Tour Shirt - Bought at 3-Hour Raw taping in Columbia, SC in October, 2006. Also used to own a Rock football jersey. Ex-gf bought it for me at a house show we went to in Augusta, GA in late 1999. Thing cost around $40-50 IIRC and last but not least, a neat little conversation piece - ECW December to Dismember (I was there~!) The shirt even features the "card" on the back showing just how unorganized this show was: Extreme Elimination Chamber: Big Show vs Lashley vs RVD vs Sabu vs Test vs CM Punk ONE NIGHT ONLY!: The Hardys vs MNM The Sandman vs Hardcore Holly Tommy Dreamer vs Daivari (w/ The Great Khali) Balls Mahoney vs Matt Striker Al Snow (w/Head) vs Elijah Burke (w/ Sylvester Terkay) Mike Know and Kelly Kelly vs Kevin Thorn and Ariel -
Let's Talk About... The Apter Mags
haws bah gawd replied to Cheech Tremendous's topic in General Wrestling
I too remember reading PWI back in 1991 or so and wondering who this "Curt Hennig" guy was in the WWF, and why he was the #1 contender to their World Championship. I never saw any AWA stuff until just recently on ESPN, and didn't start watching wrestling until someone clued me in to this "Ultimate Warrior" guy in '91 or so, so I only knew him as Mr. Perfect. I remember getting one magazine in 1991 that was dedicated to "The Strongest Men in the Sport". I believe the winner was Dr. Death for gorilla pressing Terry Gordy into the top of the steel cage about 8 times in a row or something. I was kind of pissed that Warrior only ranked at #4, but they showed an awesome pic of him slamming Akheem(sp?). -
These were the songs I played on Expert yesterday: Stillborn - Black Label Society Dammit - Blink 182 Judging strictly from the bass parts, it looks like you only play when theres a sound to interpret. Stillborn is actually pretty dead-on to the actual tablature, as is Dammit. I'm really enjoying the addition of open-fret parts in the new game. Makes playing a little more realistic.
