I too am glad to see Ryan Reynolds cast as Deadpool. I hope they retain some of the character's smartass-ness from the comics. Deadpool is still a bit of a sarcastic smartass isn't he? I haven't read the X-Men comics in years.

F13 Pt. 6 definitely has it's moments and is a fun popcorn movie. I do, however, think Jason LOOKED the best in Part 7. It's just a shame they did away with the awesome zombie Jason for the bloated prune thing that walked around the cruise ship in Pt. 8. Part 7 Part 8 The new teaser looks pretty interesting. I hope this will turn out to be the typical violent Jason flick and not some cheesy made-for Sci-Fi movie like Jason X. Whats was the deal with that movie anyway? You could tell none of the actors gave a rip about anything, and were more or less just there to collect a paycheck.

Anyone remember the fucking monster face pop Khali got last year on RAW during the battle royal, when he layed-waste to most of the guys in the ring? I think Khali could really excel as a face if given the chance. He has some great comedic moments like offering Big Show a handful of peace offerings and yelling at the speaker phone when the guy hung up on he and Vince during the million dollar giveaway. I'm not saying the guy should get a lengthy run as world champion, but I think it would be something different for him. I also wish WWE would either change-up his attire just a little, or at least give him back his badass wrist gauntlets from his first couple months in the company.

Sting as a heel flopped for WCW in 1999. I'm not so sure TNA's current writing team can pull it off either.

Batman TAS is one of the finest achievements in afternoon animation, ever. I remember when it first started when I was in 6th grade and I couldn't wait to get home to watch it on FOX every afternoon. I remember for a while it got moved to FOX Sunday nights. If Nolan were able to represent some of the characters in the same way that TAS did, they could retain a lot of the realism, IMO. Just for the love of god, keep the Bat Jet/Plane/Boat, whatever out of the new movies. The girlfriend and I are probably going to see TDK again this week. Great movie, and for 2 and a half hours, it never dragged or got boring. Amazing!

My girlfriend and I went out of town one day a few weeks back to visit some of her family. Her cousin recommended he and I play Halo 3 on Legendary in co-op campaign to pass some time. I was shocked at how quickly the 2 of us went through the campaign, considering I had never played Halo 3.

Owned, indeed. I'm anxious to see what TDK's box office looks like this weekend.

JR and Lawler to reunite on Monday...
haws bah gawd replied to Thanks for the Fish's topic in The WWE Folder
I don't really remember what Royal Rumble it was, but JR and Tazz did an amazing job together and had great chemistry on commentary. Foley and Ross are definitely something different, but I agree that Cole teaming with the King is a bit rough. -
Dude, before the last injury Henry was scary fucking cut... dude had well defined abs and was moving like he was 10 years younger. Which injury? I think he's talking Henry's kneecap injury at SNME a while back. I remember hearing that Mark Henry was busting out some superkicks and moonsaults (?!) in OVW during this time. ANyone have any pics? I never got a look at him when he dropped a lot of the weight.

After seeing footage of RVD being awarded the ECW title from Paul Heyman, I can see the rivets holding the plates to the belt which are always covered on the real belts. Kind of lame WWE couldn't even have the World Title ready for the brand's premiere episode. I enjoyed the 4-way tonight, and hopefully WWE will give Matt Hardy the strap at Summer Slam and let him run with it.
-
Remember when RVD was first given the ECW title after ONS 2006? The strap was stiff as a board. It'll probably take a few weeks for it to get "floppy".
-
That's a huge belt. Reminds me of the size of the old Undisputed title. I'm not a fan of the lack of gold, but the belt doesn't look too bad. I'd like to see a wash put over the plates to bring out some of the detail.
-
Not really a huge spoiler but sometime is still likely to complain if I don't blacken it:

I thought RAW was pretty good tonight. I don't know who's been working with Kelly Kelly behind the scenes for the past couple weeks, but DAMN did she bring her working shoes tonight. I really enjoyed her match with Beth Pheonix. Batista and Punk have amazing chemistry in the ring. Batista can continue to get lame duck title shot after shot for all I care if they keep up the work rate. RAW has been a lot of fun since the draft, so I'm looking forward to next week.

Edge vs. HHH for the WWE Championship HHH wins. At this point, I don't see anyone on SD taking the title off HHH for a while. I hate to beat a dead horse and go off topic, but I have a question. Cena is on RAW, HHH is on SD with Cena's bling belt. I know WWE sells a ton of them, but theres really no point in having the bling belt on a show where Cena really has no shot of winning it (save another Rumble win or MitB). I believe I read a while back in the Observer that both Orton and HHH requested to be able to use the belt that was used as the WWE Undisputed Belt, but Vince refused. Batista vs. CM Punk for the World Heavyweight Championship I'll throw this one out there: Punk wins after interference from Kane. I like Batista as much as the next guy, but he's the biggest lame duck title challenger in the company next to Kane. Someone has to have a stat of just how many title matches he has LOST compared to how many he has won. Tommy Dreamer vs. Mark Henry for the ECW Championship Would LOVE to see Dreamer get one last run, even if it ends Tuesday. It would be my biggest markout since Punk beat Edge, but he has less than a 0% chance of winning. Finlay & Hornswoggle vs. Jesse & Festus vs. Hawkins & Ryder vs. Miz & Morrison for the WWE Tag Team Championships Miz and Morrison continue their nearly year-long title run. John Cena vs. JBL in a NYC Parking Lot Brawl Cena overcomes the odds. Like Dreamer, JBL has a less than 0% chance of victory. Shawn Michaels vs. Chris Jericho Should be a classic. Would prefer Jericho to get the win. At this point, HBK has nothing to gain from a win. Shelton Benjamin vs. Matt Hardy for the US Championship Shelton wins to get the US belt back onto SD. Matt Hardy goes on to feud with Mark Henry and become the first Hardy to win a World title. Michelle McCool vs. Natalya for the Divas Championships Tough call. McCool has become one the most unbeatable Diva since Candice Michelle, but I see Natalya winning and McCool chasing until Summerslam.

Shit, that would've crashed the internet. I still think we see a rehash of Bret beating Diesel at the PPV. Wonder if Punk will have to eat 5(?) Batista Bomb's after the match, similar to Bret? Speaking of Cena, if you think he isn't going to "overcome the odds" yet again, you're kidding yourself.

Thanks a lot. Shame they didn't book Big Show for the show. He's from Aiken. SC which is about 30 minutes away.

Anyone happen to have the results from the house show in Augusta, GA tonbight? Our dumb ass local rock station has been advertising it for at least a month like this: "JOIN US AT THE JAMES BROWN ARENA ON SUNDAY, JULY 13TH AS WWE SMACKDOWN AND ECW PRESENT SUMMERSLAM LIVE ON PAY PER VIEW! MAKE SURE TO BRING YOUR SIGNS AND GET NOTICED ON TV IN FRONT OF THE WORLD!" Any chance they could land in hot water for the not so true advertisement?

Fuck you Sideburnious. I DID NOT need to see Winehouse's patch.
-
Who? I think she won the diva search last year. I could be wrong, though.
-
I kind of enjoyed the Test/Lesnar match from KOTR 2002. Especially the stiff as fuck running big boot that Test gave Lesnar towards the end of the match. RVD/Jericho was decent, but Jericho received so much flack about it on his website that he decided to stop writing on there for quite a while. I agree with the rest of you that GOOD GOD HHH/Taker for the Undisputed Title was bad. Actually, both have really stepped up their game in recent years, so I think they could really do something special if given the chance, next year.
-
Hmmm, at least now the ECW Title wont be the only belt in the company without a nameplate.
-
Well, it's unique. I'm not a huge fan of it though.
-
Here you go Awesome. Thanks a lot!

Who is your wrestling hero and have you ever met him?
haws bah gawd replied to Lil' Bitch's topic in General Wrestling
My favorite wrestler is probably RVD. Never met him, though I did see him and his "driver", pull out of the Bi-Lo Center parking lot in Greenville, SC back in 2004. He heard some kids yell his name, and had his driver stop, and block traffic so he could sign some stuff for the kids. Awesome guy. Stevie Ray of Harlem Heat is the most kind and humble wrestler I have met. After going to a Nitro/Thunder taping in Fall 2000, me and some friends were sitting next to the announce table and asked him for his autograph follwing the Thunder taping. He seemed incredibly gracious like "oh my God, someone wants MY autograph?!". He may have sucked ass in the ring, but he left a good impression on us. Bumped into Mr. Kennedy and Rey Mysterio in a Waffle House outside of Columbia, SC in 2006. I descreetly approached Kennedy, told him I was a fan, and asked if I could take a picture with him, which he was more than happy to do. Rey spent the majority of their time there talking on his cell phone, so I didn't bother him.
