How do you explain Rey Mysterio who just got injured again and he's been doing this for 20 years? Roids? HGH? Not changing his style when his body clearly dictates he needs to? Rey Mysterio clearly did change his style, when his body started breaking down. I do agree, that the steroids and HGH have taken a huge toll on him, though. Anyone remember the issue of WWE magazine that was hyping Rey's Summer return? Whatever happened to all those "flashy new moves that American wrestling fans have never seen before"? He seemed to be the same old Rey, with the exception of not taking to the air so much.

I'd like to see Kane become ECW World Champion. Then, if he were to lose the title on the next TV taping, he would lose the title 2 days after winning it, and finally eclipse that 1 day World Title "reign" from 1998.

I've been enjoying the hell out of these old AWA shows. I never caught much of Playboy Buddy Rose, because I started watching wrestling in the late 80's, when he was doing the blow-away diet gimmick. He's awful agile for a man of his stature. He impressed me something awful with his one-armed push ups and jumping over the top rope into the ring ala Lex Luger. On a side note, having never saw much of him other than his feud with Lex Luger in WCW, Stan Hansen RULES.

I occasionally see someone order a Tuna Sub at Subway. It's been a quite a while since any of the Subways in my area had the Seafood sub with the artificial Crab Meat, and numerous other unnameable items. Someone a few posts up had mentioned Pollock. The only time I've ever had Pollock, was when it was flavored as Artificial Crab Meat. Does is have a taste of it's own, or is flavoring it as something else, it's only real use?

Georgia is awesome in regards to movie tickets. My girlfriend is in a wheelchair, and due to a handicap law, she gets into theaters for free. I just have to pay for myself, obviously. The ticket's usually run about $9.00 for myself, but she gets in for free, so it all works out.

Why do I have the feeling one of those two is a guy? I thought it may be the one on the left that's a dude, based-off the Steven Tyler mouth. Then, I saw the Chyna-esque chin on the one on the right, and now I'm confused.

I truly feel sad for what's happened to Lex Luger, but it's all consequences of the life he lived. I remember the guy still being in exceptional physical shape not too long ago. Jeff Hardy has had a horrible past couple weeks. He failed a drug test, and lost his Wrestlemania payday, Intercontinental Title, and supposed World Title run in the Spring. Now, he just lost his house, everything he owns, and his dog. It's a damn shame really. I still hope he's able to bounce back from all this. Maybe his house going up in smoke will be the wake-up call he needs, either that or he'll finally completely snap.

Ah, you mean you don't like the soundtrack that brought "Bring Me to Life" (an OK song, as much as it got overplayed) to the masses? "Won't Back Down" by Fuel is a pretty decent song, though. I've never managed to sit through the entire film, but after hearing so many positive things about the Director's Cut, I may give it a shot. I'll wait for a few more Hulk trailers before passing judgment on this new one. I just hope Hershey's does the green milk marketing tie-in again. I may be 26, but you're never too old to enjoy novelty colored chocolate milk.

Whats the first pay per view you saw live?

I would've loved to have been able to attend an ECW PPV in the company's heyday. -

The First I saw Live - Starrcade 1997 First I saw in Person - ECW December to Dismember *tickets were free so it wasn't as bad as it could've been* -
CGI has really come a long way in the past 5 years. That Hulk looks about a million times better than the green blur that was in Ang Lee's 2003 abortion. The only good thing that came out of that is the green Hershey's syrup that was available for a short time as a marketing tie-in. My biggest complaint about the '03 movie aside from the Hulk being too cartoony was the film being shot "comic book" style. It was something different, and I'll commend the editing department for that, but it gave me a bit of a headache.

Anyone pick up the Imagination Land DVD yet? I bought it last night, and it's pretty good to be able to watch the whole thing uninterrupted. It's kind of weird to hear all the uncensored swearing as well. Have Matt and Trey ever said if they plan to Double-Dip the series Uncensored at some point? The DVD menu is kind of funny. It shows Butters walking through a white void and 'summoning' Imaginationland. After a while of his just standing there looking all nervous, you hear the Mayor singing the Imagination Land song off in the distance, then he slowly flys across the top of the screen in his blimp. Good stuff.

Speaking of Colin, remember when he hit his first offensive move a few weeks ago? I believe he hit an elbow on the Miz, and received a pop that rivaled Punk's. Everyone loves an underdog, so I honestly wouldn't mind Colin getting a fluke shot.

I wish they would've ran with the HIV storyline for a little longer than one episode. Kyle feuding with Cartman over being given HIV could've probably carried a lot of this half of the season. In the end though, I thought it was funny as hell that Magic Johnson has been able to resist the HIV virus by sleeping with all his money. Gold! I regards to the older episodes, I thought Marjorine was pretty funny. I liked Cartman telling Butters, prior to going to the girl's sleepover, "If they start lezzing out, just go with it". Fat BUTT and Pancake head almost as bad as "A Million Little Fibers".

Back in 2004, after a Smackdown taping, I saw RVD do one of the coolest things ever. He was riding in a pickup with someone I didn't recognize. They were about to pull out of the parking lot, and he heard some kids yelling at him for an autograph. His driver got half-way across the highway, and RVD made the guy stop, and block traffic. This allowed the kids to run over to the truck where RVD signed anything they wanted, and posed for pictures. Perhaps not the safest thing one could do, and a little discourteous to the other drivers on the road, but still cool of him.

I've met Yang twice, and he was awesome each time. Totally cool, will talk with you for a good bit. A few weeks ago I asked MVP for a picture at a hotel the wrestlers were staying. He said "No. I only take pictures with women." I also asked Chavo and he yelled "NO!" Kofi Kingston, on the other hand, was very friendly. Must ahve caught Chavo on a bad day, met him once and he talked to me for about 20 minutes. Real cool guy, introduced me to a bunch of other wrestlers and let me hang with them. Out of that group Chuck Palumbo, Hugh Morrus, Rey Mysterio, and Mike Sanders we're friendly and talked to you. Sean O'haire and Konnan? not so much Must have caught him on a bad night as well. Back in 2000, there was a Nitro taping in Augusta, GA. For unknown reasons, or maybe just to mingle with fans, Sean O'Haire exited the arena throught he main entrance. He stopped to chat and take pictures with anyone that asked, and seemed like a real class act. Stevie Ray of Harlem Hear is without a doubt the most humble, and polite wrestler I've had the pleasure of speaking with. Myself and a friend would chat with him over the guardrail at the commentary booth during commercial breaks for the Thunder they were taping that same night. Of course, we would leave him the hell alone while he was working, but he signed our programs and chatted it up with us. Buff Bagwell is extremely polite and humble these days as well. My girlfriend and I met him after an NWA-Midatlantic show last January (2007). For all the stories of him being an egomaniac prick, I guess wrestling on the indy's for the better part of 6 years will do wonders to humble someone.

I'm just referring to the many times WWE was ready to give Orton the World, and he would end up trashing a hotel room, or openly doing drugs backstage, and get suspended for it. The guy seems to be doing a hell of a lot better now at least.
-
Serves the dumb ass right. Once again, WWE was seemingly ready to give Jeff the world, and he fucked it all up. Have fun losing to Santino Marella and Charlie Haas week in and week out when you return, Jeff. Can we now safely say Jeff has eclipsed Randy Orton as WWE's biggest fuck-up?
-
I'll drink to that. As long as Kane gets a reign of a little longer than a single day this time.
-
True, yet I don't remember anything really significant ever happening during a break. Occasionally they would show some crazy flipping spot that a Luchadore did during the commercial, but that was about it.

I thought for a minute, that this topic was about some Frenchmen working on a remake of the giant-ant classic "Them". Yep, that's more what I meant, the suspense in the two movies is very similar. I've also gone back and rewatched Haute Tension (or Switchblade Romance as it's called here) and I'd totally forgotten how much carnage there was in it. Agreed on the shitty (and obvious) ending but otherwise a good movie. Anyway, check out Them! I was taken by surprise with High Tension's ending the first time I saw the movie, and had to go back and watch it again to get all the clues. Has the blonde from that movie been in anything else? She was all sorts of hot.

Punk almost did the most incredible feat of strength I've ever seen. BDV was just way too heavy. Decent enough match. I don't see Punk convincingly beating BDV, so the countout was decent enough.

Not to mention Eddy Guerrero and Lashley wrestled their last televised matches against him. The guy really has an aura of bad luck around him.

Do you enjoy seeing a Woman get beat up, if shes an annoying heel?
haws bah gawd replied to a topic in General Wrestling
It really all depends on how they are portrayed on TV. When Steph got Rock Bottomed at Wrestlemania 2000, the place went batshit crazy. Admittedly so did I. It's fun to watch a "loud mouth bitch" get what's coming to her from time to time, but in the end , you have to remind yourself Steph is still a woman, and a man shouldn't be assaulting her. Assault on women is really dealt with kind of strangely in WWE. A few years back, Jericho handcuffed Test to the ring ropes, then held Stacy Keibler in the Walls of Jericho, while she screamed and cried and begged him to release the hold. The entire time JR and the King were condemning Jericho for doing that to her. Just a few short months later, Austin was doing one of his beer drinking things in the ring, and offered Stacy one. She drank it, but spit it out saying she didn't like beer, so she ate a Stunner for her troubles. All JR had to say was "She should have drank the beer! STONE COLD! STONE COLD!" It was OK for Austin to give her a Stunner for not liking beer, but it was horrible for her to be put in the Walls of Jericho just so Jericho could get some heat against Test. Lita taking the 10,000 chairshots of doom from Steve Austin in the Spring of 2001 was especially hard to watch. In the end, I really don't like having to watch a woman get assaulted by a man in or out of the ring. -
As much as I tried to have sympathy for Jeff, he did this to himself, and my sympathy for him as all but vanished. Fuck it. Give Matt the MitB and let him finally get his big "3-years in the Making" win over Edge at a later date after he inevitably regains the world title.
