Mayweather is doing a very good job in his role as a stuck-up heel. I was really believing he was injured last night as well, since he looked like he was crying while holding his elbow.
-
Holy Shit, that guy's like Jack Evans on crack. Can he actually wrestle though or does he just do these insane spots? In either case, he's entertaining as hell!

Considering it was part of a lie told by someone, it's hard to tell, The Truthiness. FWIW, I believe that was in 2004. Puder had a little MMA training, and was being shot-on by Angle. He ended up doing some grappling with Angle, and managed to put him in a Keylock. Angle got just enough of his weight on Puder to score a quickly-improved 3-count, and save himself the embarassment of tapping-out to a Tough Enough contestant.

There's one way WWE could fix Jeff's problems, but it would not set well with anyone in the back, or folks here for this matter. When Jeff Hardy comes back from his suspension, put the World Title on him. Hear me out first. Orton fucked up time and time again, and it wasn't until he was given the responsibility of being the World Champion, and the top man in the company, that he finally grew the fuck up and stopped his bullshit. He has also become a person that is looked up to backstage for sticking up for himself and others. If Jeff Hardy were given the pressure of being the top man in the company, and the face of the company so to speak, maybe he would finally grow up, and become a responsible adult. Either that or become an even bigger druggy due to not being able to handle the pressure, thus failing another drug test, and forcing WWE to put out a report on their site and to the AP stating they had to fire their World Champion due to him being a drug addict. It's a double-edged sword, but it may work for Jeff.

I know what you mean now, but I almost thought we were going to see some LARRRIATOOOOs from Angle and/or Kaz. I personally wouldn't mind a BACK DROP DRIVAAAAAH or a AXE BOMAAAAAAAAA!
-
If you guys want to see a really bad Pedigree, look at the one he gave HBK when he turned on him in 2002. In all honesty, HBK was still "injured' at the time, and HHH was doing all he could to protect him, but it still looked rough.

HAHAHA, Kurt is an awesome dick heel. I guess TNA is finally going to give Joe the ball and let him run with it. Speaking of which, how long has Angle held the belt now, anyways? Knowing TNA though, Karen will probably do a run-in, swerve, and help Kurt retain the belt. Joe can be screwed by Karen Angle, TWICE!

Sounds like a fun episode to me. I just hope we don't EVER see another episode like "A Million Little Fibers". For those interested, here is a 10-second preview clip.

FUCK! C'mon, Jeff! This explains the burial he's been receiving the past couple weeks. I honestly have no sympathy for him. He's hands down the most over face on RAW, and he has to go and screw up time and again.

Mayweather is a great heel, as others have said. I was trying to see how WWE was expecting fans to buy him as a face going into this match, so I'm glad they've switched roles. I don't know if he's just THAT good with his expressions and stuff, or if he was letting the crowd get to him, but it looked like he was going to cry while he was being booed out of the building. He also did a perfect job selling the arm injury after being tossed out of the ring. I thought he was legitimately injured. Rajah.com is reporting that the whole thing almost turned into a shoot on live TV when some of Mayweather's posse decided they were going to test some of the wrestlers and throw some stiff shots at them. Shane McMahon wasn't even supposed to get shoved down the ramp. The wrestlers ended up stiffing them right back. As another poster said, Mayweather's goons need to be careful who they dick around with at ringside. I'm sure none of them want to be on the business end of a pissed-off Hardcore Holly.

Rock Vs. HHH or HBK Vs. Hart, which Ironman match you think is better?
haws bah gawd replied to Lt. Al Giardello's topic in General Wrestling
HBK vs Bret is ok from a historical standpoint, but is a bit on the boring side. HHH vs The Rock was a work of art. I liked how some of the falls went by unconventional means, such as Rock's arm dropping 3 times from a rear chinlock. Something that really NEVER happens, though it worked well with the story they were tellign due to both men giving it their all. 1999-2001 were some of the best years to be a wrestling fan. -
Rajah.com is reporting the same thing. That certainly sounds interesting. Shame WWE and Warrior aren't on speaking terms. I'd love to see HHH get his win back. Knowing our good friend Mr. Hellwig though, he'd get Pedigree'ed, stand up and laugh in Trip's face and walk out of the ring.

This was probably discussed already, but did anyone else get tired of him constantly repeating "Last time I broke your nose, this time, I'll break your jaw", last week? Is that all he can come up with? Is that his big threat? Oh wait, he's now using "Put your money where your mouth is". What's next? "Be there or be square"? Gay.

Class A (Your Top Three Choices) Lou Thesz/Ric Flair Award This award is given to the professional wrestlers who have the ability to carry an entire promotion (Wrestlemania) by themselves. 1. Stone Cold Steve Austin 2. The Rock 3. Hulk Hogan Most Outstanding Wrestler 1. Stone Cold Steve Austin 2. The Rock 3. Shawn Michaels Best Box Office Draw 1. Stone Cold Steve Austin 2. The Rock 3. Hulk Hogan Best Feud 1. Stone Cold Steve Austin vs The Rock - Good enough to warrant Upper-card / Main Event status on 3 separate occasions 2. Macho Man Randy Savage vs Ric Flair - My 10-year old mentality wanted Flair DEAD DEAD DEAD for the "She was mine, before she was yours" angle. 3. HHH vs The Undertaker - The first time 'Taker's streak was REALLY challenged. Best Tag Team 1. The Hardys 2. Demolition 3. Edge and Christian Most Improved 1. Jeff Hardy by a fucking mile 2. The Undertaker 3. Batista Best on Interviews 1. Stone Cold Steve Austin 2. The Rock 3. HHH Most Charismatic 1. The Rock 2. Stone Cold Steve Austin 3. Stone Cold Steve Austin vs The Rock Wrestlemania X-7 - not just my favorite WM match, but my favorite match of all time. 2. WM21 MitB 3. Undertaker vs Kane - WM14 Best Non-Wrestler 1. Bobby Heenan 2. Mene Gene 3. The Fink Best Announcer 1. Paul Heyman 2. Jim Ross 3. Jesse Ventura Worst Announcer 1. Michael Cole 2. ... 3. ... Best Major Show 1. Wrestlemania X-7 2. Wrestlemania XX 3. Wrestlemania 2000 - Fuck the haters, this show ruled Class B (Pick One) Worst Major Show: Wrestlemania IX Best Wrestling Maneuver: Stone Cold Steve Austin escaping the Sharpshooter at Wrestlemania 13 - The Sharpshooter had eternally been built-up as death, and this was the first time this had ever been done. Most Disgusting Promotional Tactic: The Iraq stuff for WMVII was bad, but the use of Eddy's death as a catalyst for Rey's World Title win at Wrestlemania 22 was equally disgusting. Worst Match: Undertaker vs Bossman HiaC was pretty rough, but HHH vs Cena at WM 22 was pretty sucky as well. Worst Feud: Edge vs Booker T from WM 18. Feuding over a Japanese Shampoo commercial? Best Gimmick: Stone Cold Steve Austin Worst Gimmick: Giant Gonzales Best Wrestlemania DVD: Wrestlemania X-7 - Best, and only good use of Limp Bizkit EVER Best Babyface: Stone Cold Steve Austin Best Heel: HHH Best Manager: Bpbby Heenan Worst Wrestler: Giant Gonzales Worst Tag Team: The Bolsheviks (sp?) - I know a lot of old school fans probably have a soft spot for them, but they never really did anything for me. I did enjoy Nikolai's short pro-USA run in the early 90's though. Worst Manager: Harvey Wippleman Most Embarassing Wrestler: Giant Gonzales Worst Non-Wrestling Personality: None really struck me as overly terrible, but since I have to pick one, I'll go with a prediction of Floyd Mayweather. I'm sure the guy is a good-enough boxer, but this has trainwreck written all over it. -
That's what I was told by my future in-laws. Apparently they are a big fan of Day After Tomorrow (I have no idea why) and went because they thought it would be a mindless popcorn movie. Turns out, according to them, that it was tons of plot but not enough action to justify such a horribly boring plot. So in short, it was a mess. Honestly, it ended up in my "not worth 3 dollars" list about a week ago. Ah, c'mon! In Day After Tomorrow, the tornadoes ripping LA to shreds, and the the giant Tidal Wave destroying NY were kinda neat. It was just the other 2 hours of the movie that were dull.

Maybe the Disney Channel will have a special promotional episode and call it "THAT'S SO WRESTLEMANIA!" With special appearances by John Cena and Hornswaggle.
-
I dunno......everyone KNEW HHH was going over Cena at Wrestlemania 22. I mean, yea theres probably less than zero chance Orton will retain, but theres always an outside possibility.
-
I wonder how many seconds it took for that sign to get snatched up. Best. Sign. EVER!
-
It's not like they did much with Mesias. He won what, 1 match during his tenure in TNA? So much for him being this unstoppable monster. He at least had an interesting look.

Yeah, J.R. made a comment in a recent blog about how Howard should be in the Hall of Fame much sooner than later. It would be nice if he goes in this year. Nobody does 'And NEEEEWWWWWWW blahblahblah Champion...' like the Fink. Best wrestling ring announcer ever. I remember always holding my breath until I heard Howard say the word "New" Haha yea, Fink was a great announcer. I remember back in the day, when a title change happened, it seemed like the crowds would wait to pop or boo until the Fink yelled "NEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW!".

Why won't SD go over Raw? They always do in these type of matches. I think SD is like 3-1 on Brand vs Brand matches at mania. Remember when King Booker won the distinction of Champion of Champions at Cyber Sunday 2006? Yea, me either. That wasn't Wrestlemania. Yea I know, just saying in regards to brand vs brand. Hasn't SD always won at Survivor Series as well?

WWE General Discussion - February 2008
haws bah gawd replied to DrVenkman PhD's topic in The WWE Folder
Rajah.com is reporting that a source within WWE says Big Show never suffered a broken nose, and the angle went down exactly as it was supposed to. Take that as you will. Big Show must have magical-bleeding-nose powers, or Mayweather knew exactly how hard he had to hit him to bust his nose open.. -

meh and then 2 minutes later they boo him. Stupid wrestling fans don't know what they like or don't like. It was easily a majority booing him earlier, they cheer his entrance, then when boo him when he's hitting kennedy in the corner. go figure. No it wasn't. I think you might be deaf then or you have a different definition of what is or isn't booing. It was extremely loud and clearly there was more boos than cheers from where I sit. I'm pretty sure the boos wasn't as loud as the cheers during the opening segment. This is really silly thing to argue about, especially when you're clearly wrong. I'm sorry but I have to back him up. While I heard lots of cheers for Cena during his entrance, and when he teased his finisher, any other time in the match he was getting greatly-booed. There were cheers, but there were boos as well. Onto something less frivilous though, did it look to anyone else like Kennedy nearly botched the Mic Check? It looked like he went too far forward setting up the move, and nearly STO'ed Cena.

I had read about that situation on Rajah.com last week, but I honestly dont remember their source so bear with me. They said currently, John Cena and Vince McMahon are best friends backstage. Supposedly, they're so close that even HHH knows not to try to pull anything on Cena. That probably explains Cena always getting top-billing over HHH.
